Wow! Those textures really are Maxis made... (I just compared them)
The lifo's can be found in The Sims Open For Business\TSData\Res\3D\Sims08.package
afhairlonglayer and amhaircurly are the names.
They don't show up with the golden badge, I just tried it.

I was under the impression that the game would run in the so called "compatibility mode" since they haven't updated the code for the Intel Duo so it wouldn't run natively... is it even worth it if the game would run so slow?

Oh oops, I forgot to take that out... anyway, you can use that to make the vampire eyes a different color, like contacts but without affecting Turn On/Offs. There's also an alien set, that only shows up for the alien skin tone (because it seems weird for them to suddenly have red normal looking eyes).
*Latest edit: Since no one seems to care for my original download, I have removed it and left the ugly Maxian defaults.

Shaklin's package contains a texture, not a Material Definition (that is where the typo is). In fact her fix simply uses the AF body texture, which is normally unused because of the typo in the material definition.
YA use the teen face; it's the teen texture, but with the adult face model. With females, it's the same texture either way, so it's more of a male only fix. Also something interesting... Adult males have darker ears for now apparent reason, and they go back to the lighter color when they become elders (not just with the vampire skin, but with the normal skins in the game too).

RTFM: Subtle Vampire Replacement (V2) for TS2NL v1.0-1.0p2 Made by: Argon/PatchesSim2 (same person)
Fixes the many Maxian errors with the Nightlife Vampire skin and adds templates for making normal makeup for Vampires.
INSTALLATION: Copy the file(s) to C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\My Documents\EA GAMES\The Sims 2\Downloads
FEATURES: Things Fixed- AF Body no longer uses the EM Body texture YA no longer use the Adult face texture (corrected to Teen) TF is no longer bright blue AM Fangs now have a texture (were completely white) Beards no longer turn blue
Known Issues- Makeup and Stubble will still not look correct Fangs use texture from S1 (Light skintone) TF will still have a vampire texture that is a mix between TM and TF.
Additions- Alien Contacts (to keep black eyes as a vampire) Templates for makeup that looks correct on Vampires (default skin included)
COMPATIBILITY: Tested for TS2NL v1.0p2 Should not conflict with other custom content.
FINAL NOTES: Don't modify the base package (ArgonVampireSkinFixes.package), and don't redistribute any content made using the templates (Makeup in ArgonVampireSM.package) without crediting me for the original.
The templates were designed to work with the Maxis Default skin if you choose to do so; you can also modify existing content using this list:
Blush-4C Eyeshadow-4D Eyeliner-4E Face Paint-4F Lipstick-51 Stubble-53 (no template) Beard-54 (no template) Contacts-55 (the Alien contacts use this)
To use these, simply open the package you want to change in SimPE and change the "layer (dtUInterger)" line to match the numbers above. [original download 404'ed!]

Argon, my sister had an experience with her dachsund a while back that was very bizarre and you reminded me of it. We have no clue what happened, but apparently the little thing fell down the steps and hurt her back. She lost all movement in her back legs. My sis took her to the vet and the vet said it didn't look good, that she would never walk again. Low and behold, she's getting around like a champ now! It took a lot of rest--she had to stay in a pet carrier most of the time for weeks, but she's motorvating again! So maybe your pet will be up and around soon, too. Oh, I'm sorry. I had that happen to one of my bunnies once. It wasn't an injury, it was some kind of bunny disease. Poor bunny.
I'm doing better today, I found this site: http://www.hopperhome.com/Disabled%20Rabbit.htm so I've decided that if my parents try to put him to sleep, it will be over my dead body since it doesn't have to end that way! He does look really sad right now, it's so weird seeing his legs sprawled out under his butt like that... http://tinypic.com/view/?pic=nwj1c0

I'd have to agree with Pescado on this, because -Surprize!- something terrible happened today (well this morning, without me knowing until I got home)... my rabbit can't move his back legs, and if he doesn't get better, we'll have to put him to sleep.
HAPPY FRICKEN' MASSACRE DAY!

I'm not trying to do a default replacement (I've done that already, with rebuilding the TXTR files that replace the originals), what I'm trying to do is something similar to what Open for Business will have. They said in one of the chats that it's possible for robots (custom skin tone with a new mesh) to become vampires (the original textures would not work very well for that would it?).
That's why there has to be a way, for example, there are some blushes that can only be used on certain skins (Maxis made this and it's possible to duplicate); since the face texture is a texture overlay (face paint section in Body Shop) it should work the same way. The problem I'm having is getting it to "link" with the rest of the vampire set, so nothing works right now.

TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Need help with custom skin project
|

Well since everyone at MTS2 is soooo helpful.... I'm having problems with my custom skin project; adding a custom vampire skin to a custom skin tone. At one point I was able to get one Sim with the default vampire face while the one with my custom skin had nothing, but I don't remember how I did it. The problem is, I don't know where to find the Binary Index and/or the Collection I'm supposed to add to the 3IDR. Here's the file if anyone wants to look at it, it doesn't work at the moment, but it won't cause any problems either. http://www.geocities.com/arablizzard2413/ArgonVampire.zipCan anyone help me with this?

I remember that quite some time ago, some talented fellow on MTS2 was making his albino skins read as lighter than the Maxis pale skins by changing its skintone number.
erm, I wouldn't have considered myself very tallented back then... which reminds me, I never did upload that again (there was a problem with the exchange and it got deleted) I'll have to see if I can find it on my harddrive again. (I'm PatchesSim2, the name I wanted was already taken on here so I chose to use Argon) The genetics in the game are designed weird, with that skin you could have a set of light skin parents give birth to an albino (50% albino, 50% light; not something that's realistic).

That would be the bug Shaklin found? Hmmm... could've sworn Maxis said they fixed it with patch 1. Glad I never took Shaklin's fix out.
No that particular one is still not fixed (it's worth noting that Shaklin's fix simply uses the adult female texture instead); there are at least 3 problems with the vampire textures (2 are texture mapping errors due to typos and/or stupidity the last one is the teen female texture being a mix between male and female teen; put the male teen texture on top of the teen female texture using a new project in BodyShop and adjust the transparancy and you'll get something similar to what they did) and 1 Maxis shortcut that makes it look crappy (elders have white teeth but yellow fangs).

You don't have to keep the original package name, the game won't care if you change it, and how hard would it be to include a simple readme file? That way you could use a program like WinRAR to compress them into smaller files.
As for your millions of downloads to sort through, I always keep mine in separate folders according to where I got it and who created it. The downloads folder alows you to use subfolders you know...
Edit: btw, this was meant as suggestion, rather than criticism

I've been having some problems with the medical career (early level), it wasn't on Monday though. The job started a 8 pm I think, ended at 2 am, but when it turned 12 am, it would count against her if she was supposed to work later that day.
It still does it even with this file.
