Title: *FIXED* Editing the resource file?
Post by: AloeOwl on 2009 November 29, 09:01:54
OK, I found out that the new resource file with AwesomeMod doesn't allow sub-folders. Does anyone know how to change it (with details)
Also I read that I have to change the other resource file in the "files" folder. Is that true? And what is that folder for anyway? (It contains a resource file and another note-pad file) ???

Subfolders work fine for me, and I have only edited the Resource.cfg in the base game folder. The one in Mods/Files/ was left untouched.

You'll have a line like this in your Resource.cfg:
Code:
PackedFile Mods/Packages/*.package
Below it, simply add more lines for however deep you want it to look for subfolders, as follows:
Code:
PackedFile Mods/Packages/*/*.package
PackedFile Mods/Packages/*/*/*.package
Appending the above two lines into your Resource.cfg will have it look up to two folders deep for any packages. It should be self explanatory to further expand it to any depth you wish.

resource.cfg is not a part of AwesomeMod and modifying it is unrelated to AwesomeMod.

Found out that the resource file stopped me from having (visible) fish in my new aquarium. What to do??

edit: Sorry: it was not the resource.cfg - but the No-mosaic file from MTS

You need to give more information, like what no mosaic file and what version/EPs you are playing.  If you are updated to the latest version of the game, you need to get the WA no mosaic mod. I think a copy is here, search pudding factory. I am kinda sure it is at MTS.

With High End Loft Stuff pack, I don't know if that mod works or not. I don't have the stuff pack.
