So, if you are fortunate enough not to have made the mistake of owning and installing FFS, then you have to put up with disappearing food?
Or should I still install the FFS patch even though I never intend owning that piece of crap?

I suppose, that before you implement new walls/floors. Go into homecrafter, edit them, delete the old ones, and put your edited version in the game.
Saves deleting them in buildings.

This is ironic
I have just finished a tutorial on basic skin re-colouring. The resulting skin tone in the tutorial is green, but could very easily be another colour. It does not replace defaults. I used a free paint programme called paint.net, but if you are familiar with another programme, I suppose you can adapt it to yours.
The link is in my signature.
It hasn't been tested by anyone yet, so feedback is appreciated.

Appreciate those nicely wicked suggestions, Brynne and Jsalemi. Stick em all on an empty lot, and press 3. Three? What happens then? Poof? Splat? Or a wisp of vapor? They just die a boring death, BUT it does give you a chance to go get a nice cuppa and sit back and watch.

The easiest way to make sure your not uploading any potential nasties, is to remove your downloads folder, open the game, package the lot to the Sims 2 site, then it will not include any custom content whatsoever.
I once packaged a lot, that to my knowledge was maxian creations only, although I had downloads. When it appeared on the exchange all my downloads piggy backed the 'clean' lot.

I must be tired. I read your siggie < The Official MATY FAQ > as The Office Fatty Maq. I am glad I am not the only one who has to do a double take sometimes.

on the bonus DVD, one of the interviewees said they left in some of the glitches, and renamed them easter eggs.
Looks like you got one of the many easter eggs Emma.

I put that link in because it gives a way of opening your game pretty quickly. I possibly misunderstood your request, I thought maybe you were a bit sick of the loading times of the game, the tute I posted, speeds the loading times up.
Oh well, someone else might make use of it.

I love my wireless mouse too, I would never go back to that horrible old squeaky balled mouse with the tail again.
Sure the batteries die every 24 hours or so, but I keep stocked up with rechargeables.

After looking at the date to make sure I am not breaking the Necromancy rule.
I found a way to stop spyees from slapping. If you build a swimming pool between your sims house and the road, the spyees will just come and shake their fist. This is also a lazy way of gaining body skill points. Sims have to navigate the pool before going to the carpool. Similar to cleaning and cooking skill points gained gradually while doing these jobs, insead of intensive skill building.
The maid and repairman still do their jobs, though, I havn't tried this with the repoman/social worker/fire service/burlar yet, so I don't know the outcome of these scenarios.

Retry
Before I installed OFB, I used to send sims to community lots to socialise, and top up their groceries. Everything was fine, the buy meter that pops up when buying groceries would account for what was already in the sims fridge.
Since installing OFB, when I visit community lots in the sims same neighbourhood ( haven't even tried subhoods). The meter that pops up now does not recognise that there is still food left in the fridge, in other words it needs topping up completely, totalling $600 a time.
