76  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: sim tv not displaying on: 2008 March 02, 23:36:49
This is a "known problem" with the game and 2xxx and 3xxx cards. If there's a solution, I haven't found it yet.  Tongue
77  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Interesting problem... on: 2008 March 02, 23:23:40
Yes, it definitely could be. Try rolling back to older drivers. Your computer isn't great, but it should be enough to run the game without your video card crapping out.
78  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Always twins in any pregnant. Help!!! on: 2008 March 02, 23:13:30
I don't think the EP realizes they used a double negative. Wink If they did, they wouldn't still think there was a problem. Not being a native English speaker does excuse the double negative, but not the ignoring the simple truth that eating cheesecake causes twins, so if the Sims are eating cheesecake, this is the answer to the problem.
79  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Interesting problem... on: 2008 March 02, 22:27:52
What are your system specs? (processor, video card, ram) and have you ever updated your video drivers?
80  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bork List: Freetime Ed. on: 2008 March 02, 21:06:55
One True Hobby is supposed to be determined by "personality and interests", according to the L&P guide. So some calculation, I guess. Except my Sim had 2 girls, and both had the same One True Hobby as their mom until I changed with the lot debugger.
81  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Always twins in any pregnant. Help!!! on: 2008 March 02, 20:53:48
I donīt think the cheesecake has nothing to do in my case. Anyway, next time iīll play i will try to remove the CC and triy a new pregnant and letīs see what happen. i will let you know. Thanks all of you.

If they are eating cheesecake, then it has everything to do with it.  Roll Eyes
82  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Always twins in any pregnant. Help!!! on: 2008 March 02, 19:20:23
You also didn't answer the cheesecake question.

And try again without CC. But you have to try again before the Sim gets pregnant, not after. TWINS ARE DECIDED AT CONCEPTION NOT BIRTH. (why do I feel like I'm back in twinzr2cute days?) unless you force the cheat or have them eat cheesecake.
83  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Did Freetime do this to my game?! on: 2008 March 02, 00:27:40
I haven't had any doorbell ringing, and can call to meals.

I do wish the phone would let up. With this much calling, I'd like an option to the phone hack between none and 5. I want it to ring sometimes, but 5 is too long.

Is this a NEW BV hack, or just a reminder of the one last week?
84  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bork List: Freetime Ed. on: 2008 March 01, 20:55:36
I've done the headmaster's scenario and it worked fine.  I pick and choose which hacks I add, though, not just the whole DC.
85  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: FreeTime questions on: 2008 March 01, 19:29:26
To the original question, according to the L&P Guide, you are supposed to be BFF's after 2 days of being best friends. The decay of friendship is supposed to be slower, you can call them in the middle of the night, or any time other than when they are at work, there's a special interaction "Inside Joke,"  if you are outside when they come over, there's an automagic "greet at distance" thing, and if you're not outside, they are supposed to let themselves in without being greeted. I've yet to see these last two things happen.

To instruct in any of the Hobbies, you have to have 9 enthusiasm points.

Is the option not showing up, or is the Sim just dropping the Hunt for Bug action? My Sims are hunting for bugs fine, well, except for the high odds of being chased by bees.  Tongue
87  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bork List: Freetime Ed. on: 2008 March 01, 09:16:16
Tragic, you were hack free when you found them, but were you cc/hack free when you installed?
88  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bork List: Freetime Ed. on: 2008 March 01, 08:45:11
...but chatspeak? Hell no.

Worse, it's not chatspeak. It's 12-speak. I remember being BFFs with people when i was 6-12, it went along with those necklaces that said "Be Fri" and "St Ends"

I have the front half of one of those necklaces in the bottom of my jewelry box. My friend Dawn and I got it together when we were 12- Srsly, It was 6th grade. I haven't seen or spoken to her since my wedding, almost 7 years ago.

The term is 12, but I do appreciate the benefits of it. It always irks me to have friendships erode as quickly as they do in TS2. A little less maintenance required is good, I think.

Yes, music Sims hum, whistle, and drum on their legs.
90  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: FFS "Batbox" Lot Debugger v2.0: NUCLEAR WAR EDITION on: 2008 March 01, 07:53:12
Oh good. For kid #3, I solved the issue by making him selectable as a baby and choosing for him then.  It would be nice to be able to change one of the others, though. I'll be watching for the update.

Souping is for wusses.
91  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: FFS "Batbox" Lot Debugger v2.0: NUCLEAR WAR EDITION on: 2008 March 01, 07:12:34
That sucks. Two kids in a row are Sports nuts, I'd assume because their mom is. And they know this when they age to toddler. Bah. But I'd rather be annoyed than have a borked game. It's not like I can't ignore One True Hobby anyway
92  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Computer Reboots when installing Free Time on: 2008 February 28, 18:01:35
Could be SecuRom, but first try cleaning out any remains of the previous installation manually, both in C/ProgramFiles and your registry. Then try installing with your Sims2 folder removed from MyDocuments.
93  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Lot load error, all lots on: 2008 February 25, 18:32:58
I've been thinking. When you uninstalled NL because of the wonky downtown screen, you didn't check your registry to make sure it had really uninstalled before you reinstalled. Maybe you only thought it was okay.  Wink Now why it would be throwing that error, I dunno, but you are having some other weird things happen- like when the baby couldn't be interacted with and then fixed itself.
94  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Lot load error, all lots on: 2008 February 25, 04:52:42
He's not running with any custom careers. He's anal about only downloading Eaxis stuff.
95  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Computer not recognising my shiny new RAM. on: 2008 February 22, 17:16:07
Well my OS can certainly see all of my RAM.

Are you saying that even though it shows up as 5GB above that it is still not using all of it?

Yes, that's exactly what we're saying. 32 bit systems can only use a little over 3 GB of RAM. That's it. Now if you had in 4 GB, it wouldn't be that much overkill, since your drives need to use some RAM too, and they can use the extra. But 5? Complete waste.
96  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Computer not recognising my shiny new RAM. on: 2008 February 22, 06:42:14
But shouldn't it be showing him/her 3 GB, or 4 GB, not 2?
97  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Faster computer - why the lag? on: 2008 February 22, 06:04:16
There's no reason to go to Vista.  I ran 98 until XP SP1.  I will run XP until something comes out that won't make me want to toss the computer out the window.
98  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Computer not recognising my shiny new RAM. on: 2008 February 22, 01:18:26
32 bit versions of Windows won't USE more than 3.something GB of RAM, but it will see it.
99  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: USB Ports gone? on: 2008 February 18, 17:35:01
When the  computer is booting up, when the logo screen is up (before you get to the Windows page) hit either F1 or Del- it varies by computer which will do it, but your splash screen may tell you.  Then you look around. Just do not change anything in there if you don't know what you're changing. Like your registry, it's not a place you want to go around experimenting randomly just for the fun of it. At least not if you want to be able to start your computer.  If you see something that says USB 2.0 and it's disabled, change it. Somewhere in there, it will show all the hardware it sees. But again, where varies some. You should be able to look it up online, if you can't figure it out.
100  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: USB Ports gone? on: 2008 February 18, 09:23:05
Check your Bios to see if it's even seeing them.
