101  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Important notice from the GRAMMAR POLICE. Plz read. This means you. on: 2009 July 01, 22:11:24

On a side note,
While "prepare" does (to me) mean that the glass was filled before I drank it, it can't be used to mean that it was filled much more than a minute beforehand, and in this case I wanted to say that it had been prepared a long time in advance.

I really don't get why it can't be used to mean that it was filled long time beforehand, regardless it's derived from Latin or not.

I may be wrong, but I think that the difference between Enable12Woohoo and EnablePedophilia is that the former enables woohoo/romance among teens, while the latter enables also teen-adult and teen-elder.

if we are talking grammar police , shouldn't plz be please?

It would lack sarcasm, in that case.
104  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: How to... on: 2009 June 28, 23:49:13
she's still amazed that you can email someone in Zimbabwe.

My mom went home with X-ray results on a CD instead of the good old X-ray plates. She put the CD in her stereo and then complained because there wasn't any sound coming out.
105  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: How to... on: 2009 June 28, 23:34:35
Crap. While I was editing my post you guys went ahead.

Second: Why did your question be NOT good enough for the thread named "Awesomemod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread"?

Third:
I have the Mods folder contained in TS3 folder

What TS3 folder? The one in MyDocuments, or the one in Program Files?
Because if it's the one in MyDocuments, I suggest you to run away as fast as you can, because you clearly didn't read anything, let alone the FAQs and the RTFM, and I'll bite your head off ASAP.
106  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: How to... on: 2009 June 28, 23:26:22
How come there are TWO fucking threads both asking the SAME?

First: Would you please be less lazy and at least TRY to read what's already posted before?
107  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Think of the children! (Bad Parenting in the Sims 3) on: 2009 June 28, 22:55:47
I think this takes the cake.
Please note that the parents are not cut out the picture, they aren't in sight at all.

108  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Things you DO like... on: 2009 June 28, 22:44:30
Today I had a play session on TS2, a la litmus test. Dammit, I still like TS2 more; I feel more "at home".  Undecided

I realize the reasons why I still play TS3 more than TS2 are:
1) The challenge for modders (new stuff, new code, new tools, etc.)
2) TS3 allows me to comfy stay in Mac OS: I don't have to deal with Windows just for play.
109  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Wash your @#$%ing hands! No toilet geniuses! Some Toilet Mods on: 2009 June 28, 15:57:08
What you SHOULD do is drop a plasma grenade in and run.

That would be a little expensive in terms of plumbing gear consumption  Tongue.

Washing hands is ok of course; anyway I wouldn't mind some germs around: you should keep your immune system well-trained.
110  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: The types of grave stones on: 2009 June 28, 15:48:09
It should depend on the total amout of lifetime happiness points they got. AFAIK there are two milestones: 75,000 and 150,000. Some of it is discussed here.
111  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: They can autonomously cheat. on: 2009 June 28, 14:58:30
Actually this is one of the things I like: sims that flirt autonomously even if they don't have a crush with the target.
In TS2 I had to make a mod for me, or as soon as a sim has a crush on another one, it will flirt autonomously only with that sim, always that sim, and noone else than that sim.  Tongue

113  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / World of Puddings / Re: Inge's Pudding on: 2009 June 28, 00:58:45
The problem, with packaged sims, is that they enter in game as households in the bin, while .sim files are in CAS as custom sims. Sims in the bin will also respawn in game with no control creating random wandering clones; you have to delete it from the bin as soon as you put it in game. If you want, later, to use another copy (like, populating another neighborhood, etc.) you have to reinstall the damned thing again every time.
Sims in .sim file, on the other hand, act the same as good ol' TS2 custom sims: they stay in CAS, in the custom tab, are always there, ready to go, and don't invade your hood whenever they want.

So, it's not simply a matter of file format: they're completely different things, with completely different behavior (and annoyance).
114  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Config - Stylish on: 2009 June 27, 13:09:46
Sans Serif please, not "San Serif". It's not a saint, but "without Serif", referring to the little extra details present in Serif typefaces,

 Undecided   Cry   Sad

115  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Config - Stylish on: 2009 June 27, 12:00:08
I also like the config page more black-on-white background, but also I didn't know about the Stylish add-on; now I know, I like it and have fun with it in other environments.

Besides, given the nature of MATY, I should be more disappointed by the LACK of negative and offensive content in OP's post. I see, however, that you guys are doing a great job to rebalance the ratio, so everything's well.

She can't, also, charge for anything, as long as she uses wes_h's tool to mesh. His TOU explicitly forbids pay or restricted products.
117  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch released. on: 2009 June 27, 10:36:23
I'm willing to check mine to see if there are any differences, but am not sure where to look on a mac.

You can find all the registry entries in

/Users/<your account>/Library/Preferences/The Sims 3 Preferences/system.reg

Open it with any text editor. There are many other .reg files, but I don't know what exactly they are for.
118  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / World of Puddings / Re: Inge's Pudding on: 2009 June 27, 00:35:45
Those damned kids... we didn't have all this fancy webby stuff: we had to telnet uphill, gophers, and veronica, and WE LIKED IT!

*grumbles and shakes fist at the Endless September*

EDIT: I suggest Inge to paste an ASCII-art version of her selfsim; not jocking  Wink.
119  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch released. on: 2009 June 27, 00:30:11
Under Windows you can change that in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sims\The Sims 3\
set SKU to 2 (decimal)
unfortunately I haven't the slightest clue how that's organized in a MAC.

In the Mac side I found this as the corresponding entry in the registry:

Quote
[Software\\Sims\\The Sims 3] 1246040350
"Country"="IT"
"DisplayName"="The Sims 3"
"Install Dir"="C:\\Program Files\\EA Play\\The Sims 3"
"Locale"="en-US"
"SKU"=dword:00000001
"Telemetry"=dword:00000000

SKU is apparently set to 1, though, I don't know what this means :/.
120  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Stuck cups on: 2009 June 27, 00:17:17
One of my sims ended her days with a bowl of mac and cheese still stuck in her hand, and was presumably buried with that.
Now that I mention it, I should go check the graveyard to see if her ghost still wears the bowl, and if it's the ghost of a bowl or a real one.
121  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch released. on: 2009 June 26, 23:22:19
Another possibility is that the Mac version got an earlier patch already; it was for the launcher, so if you didn't apply that before, maybe now it's throwing a fit.
122  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / World of Puddings / Re: Inge's Pudding on: 2009 June 26, 19:02:54
If you use "editsim" you can get her back into CAS, click on the sim's icon on the control panel at the bottom of the screen, and you get an option to save the sim.  This will create the .sim file, which would be preferable to the sims3pack.

It will work also with "change appereance".
123  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Thanks to awesomemod my gay male couple are now expecting! on: 2009 June 26, 18:35:11
Pregnant males squick me out. It's unnatural, I tells ya!

Unless, of course, you are a seahorse.

Well, to be fair, male seahorses carry their spawn in a bumbag, they're not exactly pregnant.
124  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch released. on: 2009 June 26, 18:16:41
Has anyone patched the game on a mac? If so, HOW?

I did and it went well. Don't bother with the launcher, though, get the app from the links I posted here; it's a tgz archive, double-click and the BOM Archive Helper (or whatever else you set) will unzip it for you. Double click on the .app, select the The Sims 3.app in the window chooser and go.
125  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 June 25, 22:37:38
so I guess ill wait to see if we can have speed and Awesomod. Any who right now my game will not even let me patch it says unknown file found and i have teh paid for one. I took my CC folders and such out so not sure why .. oh well TO bad Awesomod could not come with it own speed fix.

Declaring you're unable to spell is NOT an excuse. If you fail at spelling you may:

1) Learn how to spell.
2) Shut the fuck up.

No other options are acceptable, here.
