Sorry for such the big picture.

That looks like you had either the graphics options or the game options open, and when it closed, the screen didn't entirely redraw.  Does it eventually redraw as Sims move across the affected area?  Are you in Full Screen mode?  Does anything happen if you hit Esc?

Yup, it was similiar to all the modes, live mode, buy mode, build mode. When i clicked F5 (because there wasnt any buttons) all the buttons had disappeared so i clicked where the graphics settings were, changed one of them and the screen refreshed itself. Nothing happens with Esc.

Give us some specs.  Manufacturer, driver version, and all that good stuff.

You should update your drivers, as you are using a very old version. The current version is 93.71 - updated Nov. 2. I am currrently using 91.47 (I have a GeForce 5500), and will try out the new ones. 91.47 seems to be a really good version so far. Important though: Backup your entire game file before updating,  because oftentimes the game will not recognize the update and you will end up with loads of bugginess. The only way to fix that (that I have found) is to uninstall your latest expansion and then reinstall so it searches for your hardware again. I am going to try the new version now if you want to wait. If it sucks, I have 2 previous versions saved on my computer - 84.21 and 91.47.

Ok, the new version is working great. Game updated successfully and everything. It also seems most (not all) of the flashing blue accessories have stopped flashing. Yay! I still suggest you make a copy of your entire EA folder. I do that regularly anyway. Here is the drivers page. I wasn't sure what version of Windows you are running so it is the selection screen. Hope this helps Smiley
