1  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Look out!!! M&G runs from its own disk, not latest EP. on: 2008 November 23, 19:36:18
You need an ISO for Daemon. The ISO is the disc. Install using the ISO, and replace the original .exe with this new No-DVD .exe. The last step is the most important. Also, don't destroy the original .exe in case of a patch.
Really I should be a blond didn't quite get it is just the crack sorry  Embarrassed  now, just have to wait to download the torrent - not too many seeding and lots of leaching.
2  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Look out!!! M&G runs from its own disk, not latest EP. on: 2008 November 23, 19:07:58
My apologies right away. Please do not yell at me...I am a dullard at times.  Sad

Now, is there any reason that when I click on the download, I only get the option of run or save? Also once the file is done, I get a red x that appears and then nothing else. Would anyone mind telling me what I did wrong please?  Smiley

Well I am more than a dullard. I get the red x when double clicking after unraring what am I suppose to do with the exe file? I did try mounting to Daemon but it doesn't recognize the file, so then what am I doing wrong?

Has anyone found a good arrrg copy yet? Almost sounds like I may have to pay for this last package of stuff.  Cry
4  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: need help off topic - how to burn DVDs to DVDs on: 2008 November 10, 18:45:05
have the burner and the software, I guess my question is for example the one when I play it on the computer there is not a menu like when in the dvd player. So if I burn this to DVD does the menu option show up or will it be the same as the video on the computer.
5  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / need help off topic - how to burn DVDs to DVDs on: 2008 November 10, 18:02:46
Okay I arggg some workout DVD, now I would like to be able to burn them on to DVD's that will work in the DVD player.  What I want is to be able to access the menu system as it would be easier to workout that way.
I am a newbie at doing some of this stuff.  If I posted in the wrong forum - I can handle the crap you will hand out LOL.
6  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Apartment Life Borkiness, or how i ended the world in 1 hour. on: 2008 September 15, 19:07:37
Yeah, the stuff that J'Adore comes stocked with is broken and it has to be cleared out and restocked.  I don't think it's possible to make single servings of desserts in the game, but I have heard that there is hack that will let you do that.
I think now I could be wrong as that might be the only bakery she is using it was happening at all food type business.  I may get a chance to try my grill cheese store and see if I have the same problem.
7  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Apartment Life Borkiness, or how i ended the world in 1 hour. on: 2008 September 15, 17:05:23
Anyway has anyone found that the food in inventory goes bad right away when taken out of inventory? This includes food bought at business.  She was having trouble with making single servings of cheese cake and other desserts to restock the store.
There might answers here already, but my head can't deal with all the reading
Another thing with the food the pie menu give the option to eat; clean up or resume cooking (the items are already cooked) no ability to call to meal. As for the not being able to make single servings, I actually have not test out all the stoves or ovens, but since she was playing Bluewater Village and the bakery there, I believe she had the right stove /oven.

She also has a Sim who is a Rock god but cannot get her career reward.
Can't speak to the cause of the problem, but unlockcareerrewards should enable all the rewards for her to yoink the guitar.
Yes did sort of think of that, just didn't get the chance to try it, llike I said thinking and migraines do not mix, but that still doesn't explain the problem.

DD is playing my (her) game, the hacks are Maty's the AL fix (lastest) and the two recommend with the AL fixes. Working with migraine here not thinking clearly enough for names. I have the problem with the schoolbus not coming to apartment lots. At first I thought it was a hack conflict but know the bus doesn't come without any Downloads in either (very weird as I could have sworn it did at one point). Also there are no carpools for the non playable renters, but that may be by design and at least they walk to work, while the kids just hang out in the community area all day.  Huh

you do know the kids can walk to school as well. We discovered this because we had a family move into an apartment after the time for the school bus we were going to tell the kids to do something clicked on one of them and the option walk to school was there so off they went

Yep I think they were seeing how much they could soak us for for objects.  I kept putting in 0's lol. And that I would not pay for they stuff.
12  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Anyone take the lastest survey on the Sims 2 web page? on: 2008 June 12, 01:30:02
I just happened to go to check out the web page today and on the front page there was a link for the "last" survey.  I took it had to agree not to share what it was about.  Well I think EA has finally fiqured another way of trying to take our hard earned money.  Maybe they will soon be listed on the booty.

I have gone to a couple of secert hobby places in a custom lot, so far no problems, mind you I am running very few downloads and hacks. I have discovered I will have to start playing the game in speed 3 as it can get very long way to much stuff to do and I like perfect maxed out sims Embarrassed

Did I some where miss the post on the steamer trunk is it pillageable?  I love the stuff so far, Had a sim on a beach lot with only a lean to and a barbque and all he could make was hotdogs, even though he had a fish pond. I really wanted a survivor an unfortunately I had to give him electricity for the fridge and water for a communal shower.
15  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Replacement Pollination Technician & Ideal Plantsim on: 2008 January 24, 04:09:20
Thanks for the info, I have decided that I will use the premade from either MTS2 or the lavender one from dylan tk I think.  I hardly have time to play as it is so taking play time to try and figure out how to make a pollination technician for myself.  Huh I do want to thank all those that were willing to point me in the direction.  So if any of you come across anymore ready made pollination technicians please let me know Grin
16  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Replacement Pollination Technician & Ideal Plantsim on: 2008 January 18, 22:50:50
I knew I was a failure at google lol, I just asked about this in "where can I find" I will have to try this out this week, now if I can remember where to find a hacked telescope ( I really hate changing computers and not have access to my CC).  Is there a tutorial on how to make your own replacement pollination technician?  I would like to see some variety in my aliens Thanks
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Building/Upgrading a PC for TS2 - Update, 08 September 2006 on: 2007 November 09, 18:21:53
Some places you just have no choice for VISTA , what a pain that op is.  I have an xp cd some where and when I feel ready to get the hated securom off my new laptop , I will just reformat and use xp or many even be brave and use a linux op, but for now I thought I had better stop in  here and thank everyone for their advice way back in July when I was purchasing a new laptop.  So far I have been lucky as far as I know regarding securom, but then it is all over hubbys desktop and laptop when I installed C&C 3 (damn EA).  I am too lazy at the moment to be reformatting 3 computers. 18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Laptop suggestions on: 2007 July 15, 18:45:47
No point in going for 4GB ram if you get XP.  A 32bit operating system can't use that much.

actually what I said or meant to say was I would like 4gb if I had to get Vista not XP. On my desktop I run XP with 2gb just fine as long as I keep my crap to a minimum. But can't afford to put 4 gb in the laptop at purchase so now I know that I can add ram later I am just  going to have a look at Future Shop to compare, but I like the colours of the Dell Inspiron 1720 (YES, I know but I am a women and Red is just fire spirit(element) to me). Tongue
19  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Laptop suggestions on: 2007 July 15, 17:11:18
Thanks eevilcat, I am still going to Future Shop with hubby this week just to see what they have that is comparable and if cheaper, as hubby needs a laptop (he is heading to northern Alberta tar sands) and chatting on line is cheaper than long distance.  Mine new laptop is hmm how do you say a "honey I love you, sorry I will be away for a while" bribe.  I still have until Thursday and then I will call Dell if that is what I choose and actually talk to the salesperson and see if I can do any better (maybe get XP, doubtful).  Grin

A nice new pretty red laptop to play Sims 2 should take some of the loneliness away. Roll Eyes
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Laptop suggestions on: 2007 July 15, 16:25:53
Forgive if I seem "blonde" for a moment but I thought you couldn't upgrade laptops once purchased. But if I can add ram that would be a good thing.  I've only had desktops since 1989 and this is the first time I am actually looking at getting one (birthday give from hubby) but I want to make sure it will run The Sims 2 and hopefully The Sims 3

Thanks to everyone who is giving advice it is much appreciated.
21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Laptop suggestions on: 2007 July 14, 19:23:42
well I did the chat thing with sale on line and his answers was vista only, funny last  Friday I checked both the US and CDN site XP was offered on the US - not today.  I would go for 4 gigs of ram but then I'm adding 600 bucks way over my budget this is pushing once I add the taxes.  I have until Thursday to make up my mind, unless they have a better sale later, but do want this for a trip in beg of Aug- not sure on the ship time
Thanks for the answers any more suggestions are welcome
22  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Laptop suggestions on: 2007 July 14, 19:03:13
hard not to get vista, unless I can find somewhere with older (last models before) laptops.  I have asked a number of places vista is the only thing that seems to be available I can try a couple of smaller shops that do their own installation but ....
Could I use my XP for my desktop and reformat the drive?
23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Laptop suggestions on: 2007 July 14, 17:59:11
Well considering that post is 2006 and know there are newer posts and quick glance was desktop not laptop - I already had a good desktop for my sims - used that post when buying it, But the notebook laptop are new to me and I didn't even know about double checking on battery cooling ( know have to have descent for desktop)
Just clarifying here is what I had looked at until I read the mentioned sticky

Okay I am looking at getting a laptop what should I be looking for?
I was looking a Dell (ducks) but other than the very nice colours I don't think it will work - Vista and NVIDIA (that is all Dell Canada offers) So I guess I need some ideas to take to Future Shop with me so the salesman does try to pull a number on me. Also I don't want to spend a bundle trying to keep it under 1,500CND as need to get hubby one as well (he is heading up north)  Thanks
