Kids, Mrs. Crumplebottom, etc

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

Well, it seems that kids have more to do now. I took a family shopping and kids can finally buy things. But I dont get this. They can buy things like big screen TVs and other objects, yet they still cant buy clothes or video games? WTF is the point in that? They are also totally useless on their own family owned business lot, unless they have a lemonade stand, (which I think is totally useless BTW)

I also had one of my sims buy The Hub, that nightclub that came with Nightlife. I placed one of those ticket machines on it, and everyone that came there paid, but Mrs. Crumplebotton didnt even look at it. She went bowling upstairs instead (Yeah, I removed the restaurant and put in a bowling alley) She was also knocking back the drinks, but she got into the place for free. Wonder if it's because she's a special NPC? I wish I could have a bouncer so I could kick her sorry behind out.

Not really griping, just rambling. Smiley

You would corrupt your game.

Shouldn't be possible if they patched it right when they made the vamp fix. In other words, you can probably do it with a light breeze ona sunny day.

Servos can buy things, too.  My Servo currently has a desire to buy himself new clothes.  What clothes?  He does have the option to change into formal (haven't tried it yet), but when he goes to work he doesn't change into work gear.  Maybe I should send him shopping ...

Crumplebottom does wierd things.  I built a spa when I first got Nightlife, and split it into two sides, Men and Women, like a Japanese hotspring.  Then, I sent two of my male sims there on a date, and Crumplebottom showed up in the mens section! The only way in was through a Men's room door, and she still got in somehow.   In another case, I had a nightclub with a hottub out back and surrounded by a fence, Crumplebottom showed up on the back edge of the lot, but couldn't figure out how to go around to the gate.  She just stood there doing the 'yoohoo, i can't go there' thing that sims do when something in their way.  Even though she couldn't get at them, the sims in the hottub were STILL cowering in terror from her.

She's actually an objects, so gender does not matter to her.  Just like the Grim Reaper.  You can't tell if he's a boy or a girl, and when you get close enough, you're already dead.

Mrs. Crumplebottom is a retard in my game. She'll pace the sidewalk in front of my businesses for days on end, yelling at people and knitting. The only way I can get her to leave is to have my two playable Sims (husband and wife) make out, on which she promptly steps inside the building to whack the husband with her purse. After that, she'll leave after a few Sim hours...  Undecided

Didn't Crumplebottom sometimes display a buff dark-skinned male swimsuit body in Sims 1? She's a suspicious one.
