Another Thread about Trellis Fires in Seasons

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

I have been trying to load one particular lot in my favorite neighborhood, but the loading screen always stalls and nothing happens.  I have let the game sit there for up to 20 minutes, and all it does is play music with that little hourglass turning around.  I finally have to use the Task Manager to close TS2.

So I looked in my Error Logs folder and found 10 (yes, 10) errors from that lot, all from one day a couple of weeks ago (which I think was the last time I played the lot).  They basically all say that there is an error with that one trellis catching on fire.  I must have had an invisible fire on the lot, then saved without even realizing it.  Now the whole lot seems to be borked.

I have found a couple of threads about the trellis fires, but there does not appear to be a fix for it yet.  (I read through all the bug fixes from Seasons P3; apparently this particular bug was overlooked  Roll Eyes)  So, what can I do?  I found the lot file in SimPE-- is there any way to delete the trellises from there?  Should I uninstall Seasons?  Am I doomed to lose all the cool stuff that I've accumulated on this lot?   Cry

Thanks for your help.  I'll attach one of my many error logs if requested.

Did you try loading the lot in debug mode?

If you uninstall Seasons, you won't be able to load the neighborhood, let alone the house.

Fail.

Yes, I tried debug mode.  I didn't get any errors, as the house would never completely load.

You may have to try moving the family out -- the lot may be so borked it may never load.

Yeah, I was hoping I wouldn't have to resort to that, but it looks like I don't have a choice.  I do have a clean copy of the house in my lot bin, so at least I won't have to build a brand new house for my family.  I just really don't want to lose the tombstones and family photographs on the lot.   Cry

Oh, well.  Thanks for your help, everyone.   Smiley
