TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: EA/Maxis has found the Nvidia problem!

Hmm. I get no Nvidia problem and I have Norton Anti-virus and Security protector and God knows what other Norton crap on my machine, and I always leave my internet on, and I have a very old Nvidia video gaming card. But even I know not to turn my anti-virus off and leave my internet on; that's just asking for trouble.

I thought that the games included the prior patches? Maybe I was wrong, but that's what I thought. I missed one patch at some time, one of the first versions of Uni or NL or something that fixed something I couldn't fix otherwise, and the following game patched it for me.

I downloaded a sim who was essentially like those sims when I de-aged her to teen. I had to get rid of her, because no extent of re-designing her face made her in-proportion or pretty. She looked shocking.
I actually discovered those a while ago, those outfits, and really like them...and the reason that put me off them WAS the giraffed models. So it actually does work, ugly models as a deterrent.

Good point. I do not disqualify Carla Niven, but you can't nominate the entire site. Each person may nominate one model from that site if they wish, but only one. Carla Niven is always disqualified, because Carla Niven is not a real site. More Awful Than You is for REAL sites, not Freewebs crap. Carla Niven is no longer a freecrap site. It's bought itself a domain. (Or it looks like it. Cuz I can't access it through the old crappy link any more--only the .com.)

Third Place: Greego8's Inside-out skin Just...why?! Second Place: Oracledelphi4's Pineapple skin I mean, ew. First Place: Agent40's Meat skins. (I want to see this wearing the meatdress!) It's just revolting. There is nothing worse than that. It had won from the moment I set eyes on it.

I've only got two ghosts, graves being in the back of their daughter's house, and they're both annoyingly placid. I wish they WOULD scare people! As it is, my sims can stand next to the ghosts without batting an eyelid, as if it happens every day. It's infuriating!

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Are twins ever identical?

I had a couple of parents who went on a baby-spawning spree, and I named each child after a letter in the alphabet. Olivia and Natalie, I think they were, were completely identical twins, down to their birthsigns. I gave one of them black hair so I could tell them apart, but they were completely identical otherwise, plus being two of the prettiest born in-game sims I've had. This was about five incarnations of the game before my current version.

<-- would LOL if the ea genie skin won this month's More Awful Than You.
I'm the only judge. It won't. I want an "I dream of Jeanie" genie. Me tooooo!!! And, Sleepycat, it's okay. You wouldn't have won even if it was serious. Although it hurts, it's not horrendous. Not like the meat skins or the mouldy Fruit Salad sweet skins. ...and now you have One-Eyed, One-Horned, Flying, Purple People-Eaters in my head, too... I thought they only ate purple people?
I thought either they WERE purple, or they only ate one-eyed, one-horned, flying purple people, in which case, good luck to it. But apparently not.

I'd have to say, I kind of like names that are based on nouns or adverbs, etc, and actually have a meaning in English, unless it's something ridiculous, like Chastity. I think it indicates something good, a more natural trend toward the naming of children. I mean, isn't it kind of odd, culturally, to pay more attention to the sound of the name than the meaning of a name? I like names like Grace, Faith, Clementine and Jasper. I think virtue names are kind of nice, and I think most of them aren't unduly burdensome, just a nice reference--so long as you don't name your child something like Patience or Chastity.
I encountered a Charity the other day. Her mother was yelling at her. I came home, laughed, and told my mum, who went, "Ooh! That's a lovely, pretty name!" *headdesk*
