Can't run game, can't update, totally screwed :(

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

So, here's my situation:

Yesterday when I ran my game the thing crashed at the load screen (as soon as the video intro was done)

I'm 100% sure after trial-and-error and reading around this site that it's because I have the newest AwesomeMod and have not updated my game (it's v. 1.4.6.1)

But here's my problem- I can't update my game. It says error, and the error files are (to me.. maybe I'm wrong?) bullshit files to begin with (like, Czech language files have been modified- but I'm running the game in English!)

I took AwesomeMod out and the game starts up fine, but I don't have my disk (it's 150 miles away in my boyfriend's dorm! Grr.) and used AwesomeMod for the wonderous no-cd needed quality. Plus, I really don't want to play without AM.

What should I do? What can I do? Is there anyway to downgrade my AM?

I have a Mac, if that helps anything...

H'okay, so. The popup says "Some of the files have been modified! Please re-install" and the options are "Quit" and "View Log".

So I clicked view log.. And there's a section of red lines which I'm assuming are the errors. It's pretty hefty but I'll C&P it.

Uh... are you removing your mods folder when you try to update?

Though, really, this issue (Aside from the obvious you pointed out: version mismatching) has nothing to do with AM.

But since I had such an amazingly awesome day that I still don't even know WHY, I'll give you a good piece of advice:

When in doubt and a file is "corrupt" REINSTALL THE GAME.

Yeah.. I tried removing my mods folder but it did the exact same thing. I posted here because I wasn't sure if there was a way to "downgrade" my AwesomeMod, to a version that's compatible with the version of TS3 I'm playing. From what I hear though, it's looking like that's a big fat no for me :/

I'm definitely planning on reinstalling my game, but my disk is with my boyfriend 150 miles away :| I don't wanna wait two weeks to play!!! (insert tantrum here)

There's not a way to reinstall without my disk, right? I know, I know, it's probably the most ridiculous question ever. But a girl can hope, right?

Did you remove the .dll file from Games/Bin? That is part of the framework that doesn't come in a vanilla game.

Also, if you altered any other files, like .ini or shaders, you will need to remove the alters and replace with the original. Search will find postings of original files.

As for the no/cd mod, Twallan @ CrazyTown no cd mod works with 1.4, I think.

The framework files did not cause me any difficulty when patching or when loading WA.  However, I had to reinstall the library files I had removed, and ensure that the original TS3.exe file was installed (not a cracked version) for any updates to work.

I've had a similar situation with my game in that it crashed my computer at the end of load screen, every time. I narrowed down the problem by going into catalyst control and disabling application settings and enabling custom settings and that let me into the game. However, I had to turn all my graphic settings down in catalyst and in game to avoid desk crashes and error messages. I'll tell you what ts3 is one ugly game when you have to play it with all the graphic options adjusted to the lowest possible settings.

I'm not sure if our problem is related but just thought I'd mention how my crashes were resolved in load screen.

I had the same problem with my game so I had to uninstall/reinstall my game. Come to find out, it was the dll file that the monkey replaced . Now my game is fully patched and WA is working!!!!
