Not sure if it has the free items, but I'm pretty sure the Sims 2 Graveyard has the preorder stuff.
27  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: "Legally Downloaded" link for TS3? on: 2012 July 12, 23:11:38
Blindly downloading stuff and depending 100% of your anti-virus scan isn't the smart way to avoid bugs. It's worth taking the two minutes to type out a question to double check.

That would be why you read the comments. If you're that terrified of trusting an anti-virus program, buy it used off Amazon.

Late Night Venues can now receive gigs when the appropriate stage objects have been placed.

So, if I'm reading this right, we can finally have venues that act as both LN band venues and SHT solo venues?

Got the same thing as Witch with dropbox.

The 4Shared one is asking me to log in and the Media Fire one doesn't do anything.

All 4shared links require an account with them to download now. It's a fairly recent development, I think.

Not sure what tool you're referring to, but I've just followed the steps here in the past and they work fine afterwards.
31  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: KT's Store Fixes (updated 05.31.2012) on: 2012 June 02, 00:28:01
I don't think they conflict. I use both fine, too.

Ugh. Here comes the update-your-hacks dance again.

Google translate works just fine, unless I'm missing something obvious. It's what I use.

Yeah, that skippable ad that I skipped right past totally harshed my mellow.

AdFly always freezes my browser. Not sure if it's something in the Firefox/NoScript/AdBlock combo that does it, but it always does, and this is with everything disabled. I'm not terribly fixated on figuring out the problem or anything, I'm just saying AdFly can be a pain in the ass.
35  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: CC not showing up anymore (Mac OS X) on: 2012 May 10, 22:11:58
You can thank EA.They know about it, but apparently the market is small enough that they don't care. CC will randomly work, then just as randomly stop working. I wouldn't hold my breath on EA fixing it any time soon, considering that it's been a problem for a couple of years. I'd look into boot camp, if you're attached to your CC.
36  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Installed awesomemod...now sims3 won't load on: 2012 April 16, 17:26:39
Failure to load is a corrupted file or Framework Fail.

I actually had this happen to me not long ago, and redownloading AM fixed the problem. You should definitely try downloading AM a few different times before assuming something is wrong with the mod.
37  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2012 April 12, 20:02:53
You used to be able to rename a package file into a world file, drop it into the InstalledWorlds folder, and the game would recognize it (...or so I thought). But I'm not sure that method works anymore, as I tried it recently with a few different worlds, and none of them showed up in the game. I had to install them all with the launcher to make the game recognize them.
38  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Using Dropbox for arred pudding on: 2012 April 10, 16:04:54
Well, you could, but I'm not sure how it would be better than any other filehosting service. I use Dropbox to sync my ebook library across multiple devices, and I think it's mostly targeted at individuals, not groups. At the very least, everybody would need to have the account's password to upload stuff to it, which would be a serious pain. Picture some enterprising fellow accidentally/intentionally deleting everything. We'd be SOL, especially since I'd expect Dropbox reserves the right to delete content if they deem it illegal. You'd be back in the same place again, needing lots of mirrors on various filehosting sites.

If there's a 'rainbow wheel', this site offers no help.

There are a few other Mac players on this forum, but it just depends on whether or not we've encountered the same problem.

Problem with installing sims3packs. Ever since I installed Master Suite, I get that motherfucking rainbow wheel when I try to install Custom Content.

Have you tried just waiting it out? How long is it unresponsive for? Decrapifying might very well be the answer, but you're going to need something like boot camp and/or access to a windows computer to use it.
40  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Any way to salvage Sims from a corrupted town? on: 2012 February 06, 04:03:55
If you can hit pause fast enough, sometimes that will buy you time to export everybody, or at least it did for me. I had a wholly FUBAR'd game that crashed almost immediately whenever I tried to unpause it, but was perfectly willing to sit on my computer and mock me while paused. So I saved each Sim to CAS, loaded up a new world, and recreated all the relationships, career advancements, etc. with Nraas's Master Controller. I tried the Porter mod (which preserves the relationships), but it didn't work in my case--just made the new world crash. It probably just depends on what's screwed up.

Honestly, I'm completely broke, but I scraped together something anyway. Hopefully more will come when I've got a steady paycheck again. God knows the last thing this community needs is to lose MATY/PMBD.

Pescado puts things in AM that he wants in his game. Presumably the need has never come up for him.
44  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2011 December 17, 03:14:56
I've been trying to figure just that out- but I didn't see anywhere on the Sims 3 website where that information is provided.

Is there a method on how I can figure out which set or at least month it is a part of?

Yes. It's called Google. Second result.
45  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2011 October 18, 16:47:40
Pescado has always required the most recent patch to run AM. Once AM is updated, you'll likely have to patch your game if you want to use the updated version. If you were referring to the current, non-Pets compatible AM, it should continue working until the expiry date. Though you would have to keep a close eye on the launcher, since the store patch would probably be incompatible too (no idea either way, I didn't install it).

ETA: It looks like Pescado removed the expiry date on the 1.24 version of AM, so those of us who haven't patched or installed Pets can keep using it until the CC debacle is sorted out.
46  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Error codes 12 and 13 along with crashing. on: 2011 October 07, 00:12:58
I have 4 gigs of RAM and very occasionally get this. Awesome mod's autosave feature has cut it out almost entirely.

Try reading the title of the thread. Updates are posted here and moved over by the mods.

I actually decrapify all my lots, and put them in the Library folder in .package format. Haven't tried it with this lot, but it generally works fine.
49  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Generations: What Sucks, What's Fucked, and What Did EA Get Right by Utter Luck on: 2011 June 20, 18:32:44
The whole dance thing does seem glitchy. I had two teenaged Sims suddenly return home in their formalwear. I didn't get any kind of notification about a dance, but I'm not sure what other reasons there could be for the clothing. Also, does every teenaged Sim get to go to prom? I've got one teenager who never got any kind of prom pop-up, and he's two days away from aging up.
50  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Last ditch effort on cc in Generations on: 2011 June 15, 03:04:23
Actually, I'm pretty sure I did do everything right, even from using those very instructions. Particularly since after all of my own attempts didn't work, I deleted everything I'd done and went with the Mac Framework Installer (both of them, actually). Where it continued not to work. And that didn't make a damn difference either. So unless you're insistent that Marhis is a total fail, well, there you are.

Marhis isn't "total fail," but that installer is outdated. The old method works on Windows, but I switched to Boot Camp pre-LN, so I haven't tried it on OS X since. I wasn't aware there was another framework installer out there for Mac folk. Where is the other framework installer you're referring to?

As far as the message about a modified .exe goes, here's the obvious question: are you using a modified .exe? Using a crack or modifying files to avoid the launcher at startup would probably trigger that. There's also a post about Mac players being unable to patch over at the official forum but obviously, there's no guarantees considering the source. The other option, if you haven't tried it yet, would be to try manually patching, but IIRC links to Mac patches can be tricky to hunt down.
