Yes. It's hilarious to be sarcastic and rude instead of just speaking simply and plainly to the point. Because it's such a good use of one's time.

That is extremely nice of you. However, your email address is hidden in your profile.

Actually a professional writer, so have a pretty good comprehension of the English language. I'm sorry I didn't break my text up into easily digestible fragments.

My issue is I'm not sure if it's the NRAAS mod or the careers. That's what I'm trying to figure out. All of the files seem to be ok. I suspect it's more a matter of where they're placed. Do the careers just go in the same packages folder you put all of your normal custom content in? Or do they have to go somewhere special? Same goes for the NRAAS .package, I've got that and the career files all in the packages folder.

Just want to mention that Twallan has it set to not accept messages. Joy.

I posted here because I find I get the most intelligent responses here. All I meant by my Mac being relatively new is that I don't have much installed/running on it, that was all. Yes, I did mean the NRAAS Career Mod. Yes, other custom content shows up just fine, never had any issues in that regard. My game is fully patched. It's a little ridiculous that in 10 years of Simming it's a crime for me to run into one issue. As I said, I can usually figure out stuff for myself. I haven't been banned from anywhere, I just wasn't getting a response and I'd rather not wait around for a few years to hope I get an answer. I will contact Twallan. But don't say the answers are out there when you can scroll through dozens of pages of results and find the same crappy useless answers everywhere. I always try to be of help to others, didn't realize it was every man for himself in a COMMUNITY forum.

Before I start let me just say that I have spent days extensively searching for my answer. All I can find is people asking the same question and getting "Research" as a response. Well I've been researching and at best all I can find are responses that direct you to links with general instructions for installing custom content (I'm a bit beyond that at this point haha). I've already downloaded the NRAAS mod and placed it in The Sims 3/Contents/Resources/Transgaming/C Drive/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Mods/Packages Folder. I downloaded a couple well made careers from ModTheSims. I then placed the career .package file in the Packages folder. I cleared out my caches. When I boot up the game the careers don't appear. From the comments, everyone else has the career working fine... Not sure what else I need to do. I'm running on a iMac, pretty brand spanking new. I usually can figure this stuff out myself by researching, but this one is escaping me. Does anyone have any knowledge that would help, or at least point me in the right direction? Please know that I have been looking diligently, but everything takes you in circles. Ironically, I found all the information I'd need to CREATE a career, but not to just simply install one, ha! Thanks in advance for any help. And let's keep this polite as I'm not an idiot or lazy, but I'm about to throw my computer out the window haha

Does anyone have the free Medieval objects from the simpoint bundles in .package format? Individually, as a set, doesn't matter.... just can't buy that many bundles in a short time lol

I have this issue as well, but I had already removed the mods folder before I installed them. Does anyone else know anything?
9  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Wonky Colored Question Mark Tiles on: 2009 August 22, 15:28:52
I have it too. My entire Modern Art Museum is covered in those tiles....which I guess kind of works for a Modern Art Museum lol. But then I noticed it in the graveyard and pool of the Goth House. I changed them back and so far haven't had any problems.... I also don't have any mods, just cc, which I'm pretty choosy about.... def probably the update.

This is a stupid question, but what is SimPE and how do you use it? Obviously not expecting detailed instructions, just a general idea.

What is it with these boards that whenever someone says anything it instantly gets attacked or shunned? I really liked this site because of the respect I saw on the boards, but apparently it doesn't exist anymore. I shouldn't have to justify everything I say. We are all different people and we all have different tastes and opinions. I don't mind if people disagree with me, but it gets ridiculous when you have to keep justifying any small opinion and the main point is forgotten.

Yes, and I do use some custom content. I just prefer to use the content produced by EA. It makes me feel a little less deprived if I can at least get some of the things PC users have. lol.

You're right, there was mixed results in regard to the Celebration Stuff working on mac. However, most of it worked for me. The only problem I really had was some of the celebration stuff hairs worked for me and then randomly disappeared for no reason. But anyway, I wasn't really looking for any particular items. I'm just always looking for anything new at this point, since the game can get a little boring without any new items or outfits. Anything new would be greatly appreciated. Smiley

I don't think it was "stupidity" that led to me getting a mac as so many of you have said. Maybe I'm alone in this, but The Sims 2 isn't the only factor I consider when choosing a computer. I chose a mac because it met all of my needs better than a PC. The ONLY drawback I've experienced is waiting for Sims 2 stuff to get ported. When I started this post I was talking specifically about the Kitchen and Bath objects in The Sims 2 store. I know that the objects from Celebration Stuff from The Sims 2 store work for mac and I was wondering if anyone had had similar luck with the Kitchen and Bath items. I'm not knowledgeable enough to get the objects to work myself. I can live without them, I just thought there might have been some other mac simmers that have gotten them to work.

Does anyone know where to find the Kitchen & Bath stuff that was added to the store? I'm willing to contribute funds, but I can't download it because I have a mac. Grr....
16  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Store Stuff on: 2008 November 26, 20:54:35
PB, the Sims 2 Store items that have not worked in my game to date are:

Cubic Dining Chair
Deco Dining Chair
Spooky Fence Lamp
Mean Jack-o'-Lantern Table Lamp
Nice Jack-o'-Lantern Table Lamp
Spooky Floor Plant
1x3 Gargoyle Sculpture (the one that's not the pig)
Castle Double Bed
Castle Treasure Chest

Everything else works fine for me.  My game includes the following EPs and SPs: Uni, NL, OFB, Pets, Seasons & BV; FFS, GL & Happy Holiday.

Figured it was shorter and neater to list what DIDN'T work than what did.   Wink

Grania, Thanks for the list. At least now I can give up on those objects for the time being. However, I have to ask- is there a reason that I can't get any of the beds to show up in my game? I'm not talking about just the castle ones.
