Okay, gonna give this a go now as I just had a Sim in CAS who would NOT keep his body hair. It got removed once I went to add tattoos and then wouldn't stay no matter what I did.
127  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: 3rd Generation Prius Texture Replacement. Help Needed. on: 2011 August 21, 21:44:25
How odd. I have been checking with an already purchased car AND on a newly purchased one. The only cache I have not deleted is the SimCompositor one.

I'll give it another try in a different world.

ETA; Very odd. Purchasing the car in a different world loaded the replacement textures no problem. Oh well. Thanks.
128  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / 3rd Generation Prius Texture Replacement. Help Needed. on: 2011 August 20, 21:12:58
God I hope I'm submitting this in the right place.

I want to replace the texture of the 3rd generation Prius that EA made available as I strongly dislike the fact that it has no number plate on the rear.
I have extracted the textures from the relevant dcdb file, made my edits and then imported them into a new .package file.
The result is that the replacement only works in the catalogue preview. The little rotating image shows the changes but when the car is placed the textures are as they have always been.
Yes, I have been deleting the cache files before testing my files. Still nothing.
I've attached the file if anyone wants to take a look and see what I'm doing wrong. Or just so you can have a good giggle to yourselves.

Nevermind. It was a misunderstanding on my part.

Is that genuine advice as when I try it only the thumbnail link can be found in the page source? If I type in ".sims3pack" in the Find function I get nothing.
131  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Pudding Factory is for downloads: put your lame requests & WCIFs here on: 2011 August 09, 21:40:57
I think the file you are after is called 'ShimrodsStereoElectronicaFix'

That's the one, although now that I've tried it, I've hit an annoying problem with it. In a room with more than one wall speaker, each speaker's playing a different track!

You haven't unwired them by mistake have you?

Nope. Shimrod's admitted on MTS it's a problem because of the way the XML's structured and the only solution is to have one speaker on the lot. This would be fine if I was trying to play custom music on a small lot, but this is a 30x30 nightclub and even a speaker with its audio set to high only fills a small area with sound. Ah well.

I haven't come across that yet. Does it only affect the custom music channel? I ask as I know I have a disco lot with four speakers set to Pop and they all play the same track.

I just read in the recent patch notes that the issue with the bunk bed stencils should be fixed now. I cannot confirm this yet as I have not patched my game.

WCIF a mod to hide/remove the option to 'tinker' with stuff?

Is it really that hard to avoid performing a non-autonomous action?

Intenionally avoiding it, not hard at all. Accidentally is anothing matter. I mis-click it for another option from time to time, so I wondered if there was a mod to hide/remove it.

That's easily solved by reading what you are about to click on before doing so. Pause the game if need be.

The tiki fence shows up fine for me in my game. I used the files from here and decrapped as normal.

Is there a way to make sims procreate more slowly? There are millions of children running around my town all the time...

Use AwesomeStory. Delete some cribs.

Or use the population cap option of the AM config.

Tiki fence isn't working for me, anyone else have this issue? It seems to have the same problem the Romanza Wedding Fence had.

What issue is that then? The Romanza Wedding Fence came out so long ago now and I don't think it was a set I actually bothered with.
I've had the alpha on the Tiki fence leaves fail to work on occassion, is that it?
139  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2011 June 27, 17:56:50
I've not had any issues with content going missing but I must admit that certain wall objects from two seperate sets cause my game to lock up if I attempt to read the catalogue description and view other preset options. If I drag them straight out of the catalogue they work fine. As it is I have actually uninstalled them with no intention of putting them back.
I believe one was a dragon and rabbit wall plaque thing from the Year of the Rabbit set and the other was the modern art wall deco item from the Mid Century set.

The compilation file with all sets was posted.

You could always download Delphy's CUSTARD tool and remove the items you don't want then save it out as a new sims3pack.

Have EA fixed the Lagomorph in Neon now? I only ask as it appears with correct textures on the Dr. Pepper prize list.

But won't Sims complain that mail can't be delivered or bills payed and that trash can't be thrown out?
144  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Pudding Factory is for downloads: put your lame requests & WCIFs here on: 2011 May 19, 14:21:30
I have my game patched up as far as it goes at the moment and I'm having no problems what-so-ever using the CAW available from the official site.
145  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2011 May 12, 17:20:37
Are you using any object recatagorisers? If so take them out and see if the objects show.

I'm checking up on it now, as someone gifted me the estate fence and the smaller gate a long time ago. Extracting the two simspacks into package format gives you 10 individual packages though, so I am not hopeful.

Edit: Yeah, they just combined all their old fences into one file. Here's untouched versions of the simspacks if anyone else wants to experiment with them.

So the packs still install multiple non-CASTable versions? Wow, EA, what an upgrade.
147  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2011 May 09, 00:13:06
Is it me, or have the gates and fences available at the store been officially updated to be recolourable? I ask as there is only one of each listed now whereas when they were originally released there was each colour variation listed seperately. If they have, I wonder if it includes the stairs as well.

You're saying you can only see two reflections deep, yes?

Oh, and as for moving items up and down on a wall, the ; and # keys work for me. I don't need to press Alt, just those keys on their own is fine.
149  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Fight Skills on: 2011 March 30, 20:48:25
Yep. It currently doesn't function. I asked the same thing a while back.
150  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Store Stuff Made Shiftable: Update 3/03 on: 2011 March 17, 15:01:27
My bad. I must be using an older version (which I have tweaked for my personal use) which only consists of curtains, TVs, clocks and lights.
I just checked against the version in the first post and it does seem to include all of the shelving items I am aware of.
