1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Pudding Factory is for downloads: put your lame requests & WCIFs here on: 2011 July 11, 17:44:56
I'm actually looking for two things.

Firstly, a mod that allows me to buy my sims' books in the  bookshop. It'd make the whole 'bestseller' thing a lot more believable if I could actually buy them.
I don't actually know if this exists or is possible, and I suspect probably not, but there's no harm in trying.

Second thing is a nice, small sized neighbourhood that isn't riddled with CC. My computer finds it too difficult to run the larger 'hoods without incredible amounts of lag, but the small ones work fairly well. I just have terrible luck finding them, and most are pretty bad or have twenty metric tonnes of CC that are just too aggravating to download.
I have one called Liberty Bay that I really like, but it's really boring playing in the same one every new game. I've tried to make my own, but that's not where my talents lie.

Much appreciated.

Does anyone know where I can find a halfway good looking male sim, one that I don't need to download reams of CC for? I've looked on about 20 different sites, and they either need six metric tons of CC (all of which has to be downloaded independently and are all default replacments), or they're blooming ugly. Granted, it might have something to do with my preferring lean, prettyboy types, but most of them just seem damn horrendous.

Jolrei, as far as I know she was dancing in her dorm room.

She doesn't show anywhere else except the dorm room door picture and I don't think the lot debugger could find her. Hence, I'm restalling. Agin. Ugh.

I just downloaded the lot debugger, going to try it soon.
Thing is that I didn't touch the Characters folder, or the neighbourhoods folder. I just checked the Recycle bin on an off-chance. I checked my music folders too.

I don't have any back-ups of that particular hood; I only played for two days.

I have no idea how it happened, but when I loaded the game yesterday my main sim had disappeared.
She's a Young Adult in Sim State University. There are two other playables in that dorm(Pinenuts Plaza).

They both knew her, but now she's gone from their Relationships. Her dorm room is still claimed, and she's still in the loading picture, no one has tried to take the room.
I've tried using Insim to summon her back and to restore all family, but she didn't show up there either, just her mother and the cat. I can't even find her in SimPE.

I know I didn't delete her package thing from my folders because I've checked my Recycle Bin, or with moveobjects because I don't use it. I didn't kill her off and I  didn't do anything with SimPE either because I installed it just to look for her.
She just disappeared.

Two errors came up when I loaded that dorm, but I can't remember the wording. I think they were to do with the other dormies though. I'll check when I load it up again, though I'm a bit wary of Pleasantville right now.

She was there the night before and all I've downloaded since then CCwise were a few new skins and beers for my sims.
The other two playables are fine(so far), but they have no knowledge of her whatsoever.

Could someone help or should I just give up all hope and reinstall?

What should I be looking for exactly? I'm kind of an idiot...

I'm on XP, but I didn't upstate anything recently.

My game is not a disco, so this is seriously annoying.

It was acting perfectly normal until I was adding Sim State Uni to Plesantville and the border of the dialog box began to 'bleed' into the surrounding screen, it went out pretty far too.
Me, being an unawesome eejit, still added the college. Anyways, when the college was created, the screen was the loading screen. It also keep flashing on and off really fast. Everything else was fine, the HUD reacted normally (Heck, better than usual). Anyways, I figured it'd be best to go back to the main hood.
When that loaded, the screen kept 'dancing' and jerking back and forth. Again, the HUD was normal. I loaded an empty house to check it, and that was normal.
When I went exited to the hood again it showed the flashy loading screen again. I went to delete the college but I couldn't find the little trashbin icon anywhere. The OK button also began to flash green.
After that I used CtrlAltDel to get out, but it wouldn't react so I turned off my computer, it did a DiskCheck before shutting down.

I have a lot of CC but I've downloaded nothing new since last night when it was working fine and the FFS Debugger five minutes ago.
I have Uni, Nightlife, OFB, Pets, Seasons, FFS, Holiday stuff, TSS, GLS and H&M stuff, if it's relevant.

I would really appreciate help here. I'm off to delete the college in case it does anything.

Then, please could you describe it for us?  Cheesy Share the pain by word.

Hasn't that metal circle top already been entered, over on the first page?
11  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: More Awful Than You! October: Fugly Tops on: 2007 October 14, 11:49:15
Hey, isn't he(Bobhellbringer) the guy that brought us the TSRHair in the fugly hair month? Is that all that fella does then?
But the most important question is this: Who actually would let their sims loose in that?

Whoo! These'll be great! I love them darned spiral stairs, but they're all wooden.

I am so childish.  Cheesy
13  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / CAS Glitch - Zooms out the window. on: 2007 September 25, 16:20:26
This isn't a problem on my game, but my friend's game. He has unpatched games up to Seasons. I don't know what mods and hacks he has.
Oddly, this seems to be a species specific glitch, and happens mostly in Veronaville.

The problem is most evident in CAS. When creating a sim, the sim is shot up against the back wall, all tiny and the lighting on it goes black and white.
When creating a cat, the camera rushes out to the left (Facing the screen), passing the photoshoot area and out to the very edge of the 'CAS Lot'.
When creating a dog, it does the opposite and goes right, straight out the window.

Neighbourhodwise, he says that the plumbobs shoot away from the sims and huddle together in a corner, still spinning. Some lots go black, as in all colours are gone and while the building and such are still there, it's all completely black. Normal sims are not able to move, while zombies are.
These things only happen with CC on, and we've just removed a big chunk of items.
As far as I can tell, it is nearly is, or just plain is a BFBVFS.

However, if there is a way to fix it, please tell so it can be fixed up.
Thanks.

You could just give her the gift of a phone, or use a cheat to make her selectable and pop it in her inventory.

Also, the hack is rather nifty. Or rather, Awesome.
15  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What the heck does that? on: 2007 June 22, 22:56:25
I don't delete anything not CC because I'm freaked about destroying the computer. It's a work one, and I've lost everything on it before.

I fixed it though! Apparently it was a frigging dreamcatcher download. The hell?
16  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / What the heck does that? on: 2007 June 22, 22:42:05
I don't think this should going in 'Oops! You broke it!' because the game seems fixed now but I want to know what kind of CC could actually do this. I may be wrong about where it goes though.
I have all EP's and I think all stuff packs too, in case that has something to do with it.

Well, you know when it's loading up, and you get that text running underneath 'Stockpiling leftovers' and that.
Well, mine got as far as 'Calcuating Snowball Trajectories' before it inexplicably just went out of the game. Just blinked right out and shut the game down.
I tried again about twice or thrice with the same results.

So I restarted my computer then uninstalled and reinastalled Seasons, it loaded then. But then I realised that I'd messed up putting it my backup and when I did put in my backup right, it wouldn't work anymore.
I removed my most recent downloads (I have more than a frigging gigabyte of CC) and it worked.
Most of the CC was accessories and clothing but one was an unawesome 'Call to Dinner fix' and when I put back in those bits it glitched again.
I took out some more suspect bits and bobs and I'm trying again. I don't think it's the clothing obviously because I doubt clothing meshes can do that. Or can they? Evil Liana Meshes Of GameDOOM?

What part of the game does be loaded when it shows 'Calculating Snowball Trajectories anyways?'
What CC can do that to games in the first place?
