The thing that is so infuriating is that it's only the newest ones that I install. It doesn't matter how many it's all of them, and they are all legit from the TS3 Store thread on here. I think there is something else going on, but I can't put my finger on it.
When I used package files back in the day that would happen to me to, you have to decrap the package files. I used the drag and drop method. That fixed the problem for me.

I cannot figure out how to change the color of the A.) Text B.) the green loading bar. I think I've come to the conclusion that the loading bar is not an image but a value, like the text color. I THINK, because I couldn't find an image for it that the UI LAYO file uses and I think I checked them all. Also I couldn't find any six digit color values in the UI Layo file, if that's even the right place to look. I will be playing around with this myself of coarse but in the mean time if anyone knows the answer that would be great.

Ok will do. Might not have it up for a few days though, that shit was tedious as hell. I know exangel or rainbowbright used to do it just like I have it set up but s/he stopped updating in July I think. So I know that having individual .package files really helped me out a ton and I figured if s/he hadn't stared back up by now then they probably weren't going to. I just have one question. The way i get them to work in s3pe or the CTU is by decrapifying them. Is there a way to extract them from the .s3p and convert them to .package without decrapifying? I searched but all I found was people starting new threads asking either what decrapifying was or how to convert but with no useful answers.
You don't need to decrap in order to convert them. Use the multi package extractor, I think it's one of Delphys creations.

Whenever you boot the Launcher, it loads all the Sims3Packs in the "Downloads" folder into memory. The more files you have, the longer it takes. Since the Launcher isn't recursive, a simple solution is just to create a subfolder inside your "Downloads" folder and move your Sims3Packs into it after you install them.
That's what I do. I've never had a problem with the launcher taking that long to load/install.

I understood they were as .package files though and I'm using the decrapified .sims3pack route. Either way, I poked around and nothing broke. I shall assume it worked unless I start seeing new Sims turn up wearing the outfits.
(You might want to fix your quote tags)
You can still use the package fixes, as long as there are decrap versions, which I think there are. Yea I know, I'm on my phone so wackyness with my quote tags might ensue.

I may be stupid, but I'm not THAT stupid as to go deleting random files. I don't mind the clothing being in game so long as random Sims don't start showing up wearing them so I'll go have a poke around and see about disabling them for random. [/quote] We'll leave that one open for future debate. As far as teh pirate randomness I do believe someone on this very thread is doing/did that already. I know the wedding crap was fixed, among other things.

so, why can't I uninstall the BB pirate clothing without being told they can't be uninstalled because of 'dependants'? Is there a way to see which file is preventing their removal and then get rid?
Because they come with and are part of BB. I'm going to assume here that you also can't delete riverview stuff either. Have you tried opening them up in s3pe and making them hidden?

Yeah, I wasn't being serial.
Yea....I only realized that until after I posted...DOH! Anywho, was lurking around and found these. Has anyone else came across any others like this? I'm in the states so I know we don't get everything and vise versa. From GamestopPre-order The Sims™ 3 Late Night Expansion Pack today and receive a code to unlock special items. You'll get two additional locations—a dance warehouse and a local dive bar—plus two new hairstyles to get your Sims ready for a night on the town.
