252  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / 1.5/1.6 Patch warning! on: 2009 November 17, 07:02:43
The 1.5/1.6 patch is a way to get people to buy The Sims 3 World Adventures. The new EP is required for the game to function properly after installing the new patch. There are files generated by the patch that I have no idea what they are used for (sims3.bad or .legacy on the end of some saves) and there seems to be a TravelDB file or something similar if I remember (Just uninstalled because of the patch) that is useless until WA is installed. And one person has reported that the patch causes loading times of about 20 minutes which might be because of the EP requirement.

Post in this thread if you encountered any problems because you installed the patch without World Adventures.

Perhaps they'll remaster the splash music.  That should have the sheep coughing up their dough, since it seems to be one of their fave features of the game.  Tongue

Nice

Or... what do you wait from "The Sims 2" Remastered?

The Sims 2 Remastered is another attempt from EA to take our money.

Unbelievable. It's priced at AU$49.95. You can find bargain-bin copies of this game for $5 to $10.

Where did you find that price? If it was at EBGames, they overcharge in Australia a LOT (I would know, i live in Australia)

256  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Brightness/Gamma issue? on: 2009 September 05, 01:56:36
I have an Nvidia card and I found the 3D Settings for multiple programs (Thats how I forced V-sync on) but there was nothing about the brightness.
257  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Brightness/Gamma issue? on: 2009 September 04, 10:51:44
Ok, i'll go through my display drivers. If I can't fix it, well i'll just play it in Windowed mode.
258  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Brightness/Gamma issue? on: 2009 September 04, 09:25:35
I play most of my games with the brightness/gamma lower then the default as I have a LCD screen (Dell E207WPF, A lot of people say it has dodgy colouring like blacks and greys are too bright) but with The Sims 3, just before the game starts up the screen brightens and then the game starts and all of my changes for the contrast and gamma and brightness have almost no effect. Can anyone help me because in Windowed mode The Sims 3 looks really good (colouring anyway) but in fullscreen it seems too bright.
259  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: TS3 was to include weather. on: 2009 September 03, 07:51:12
EA will milk again and again and again! Thats why people will piracy, more and more and more!  Tongue

There is even a piano code in The Sims 3, but no Piano!!!...(?)

I hate how they remove and later add stuff! Screw them!

And screw them for make the Sims look so damn fat and ugly!

Will they ever read when the players write on the internet?

The piano bit is what I'm interested in. Like i said before, anything about hottubs at all?
260  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: TS3 was to include weather. on: 2009 September 02, 13:27:35
I'm really not surprised. EA are really making mistakes. Like with Mansion and Garden Stuff, a lot of people wanted the one last patch to fix the remaining issues in The Sims 2 (Most fixed from mods here anyway) but they didn't do that. With their latest Need for Speed game (Undercover), They rushed out the downloadable content onto Xbox Live and kept us waiting for a patch with stuffed up, laggy, freezing games. Also, since they had weather almost ready for the base game of The Sims 2 i was half expecting EA to do it again. Since someone found some Piano code in the game files, anyone find anything about hot-tubs? Or is EA about to overcharge us for something that was in the base game for all the other Sims games?
261  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Stuck/Freeze at placing a lot on: 2009 September 02, 13:04:16
Hmm...i'll try to copy this error. You know like placing lots everywhere in the chance that it might freeze then i'll investigate a bit. Anyone else experiencing this issue?
262  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Stuck/Freeze at placing a lot on: 2009 September 02, 12:37:08
Oh crap. How long did you wait until you tried to ctrl-alt-delete out of the game?
263  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Stuck/Freeze at placing a lot on: 2009 September 02, 12:17:52
Are you sure it's the game freezing? Sometimes when I am placing Lots on The Sims 3 the game seems freezes up BUT it is actually still processing. I can NEVER CTRL-ALT-DELETE out of The Sims 2 & 3 when it is doing something very Processor or Memory intensive such as loading screens or placing lots. Or is it that the mouse cursor has frozen completely and won't move at all? And don't worry about the Process of placing lots takes forever with me too.
264  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch ponderings... on: 2009 August 01, 13:08:44
I'm inclined to suspect all the patch issues are based purely on incompetence, because I have never had any problems that I didn't cause in some way.

I completely agree. I have not experienced ANY problems except for the stupid NPCs standing around doing nothing on community lots. Stupid lying patch notes...I risked my working game just for that one glitch and it didn't make a difference. At least my game works. People shouldn't blame the patch(es) or EA for their problems. It's possibly their computer or conflicting mods and stuff.
265  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch ponderings... on: 2009 August 01, 13:03:49
The legal version, although the first time I installed it the game wouldn't run due to some registry issue which made my computer think it was a pirated copy.
