I've been playing TS1 again for 2 weeks now because TS3 got on my nerves with bloody errors 12; I got so fed up that I decided to give up on it for a while, it drove me crazy.
It's true TS1 is really difficult. Motives decay so fast, it's scary! I sort of play it like TS2 using the kids charms from Makin' Magic to make them grow up, get married and have children, etc
When they grow up with a head that doesn't fit, I change it with The Simetamorphoser from Paladin's place. 

You just have to drag and drop the file you want to decrapify on "decrapify.exe" and that's all.

Well, I'm not really excited about it...

I got that borked baby in Riverview, I tracked it and I deleted it. I had no other choices, it was messing up my game.

My fingers crossed didn't do anything... I had the error 12 last night in Riverview, I had to quit without saving. If it has something to do with the size, then that is one big bug. I wonder if I'll ever play my next generations... Looks like we're facing a sort of BFBVFS in TS3. hurray...

I've been having the same problem as Nimrod for awhile as well. I have my first Sunset Valley that I cannot play anymore; the saves there are ridiculously long, around 10 minutes or more. I had Aging and Story Progression turned off, don't know if that has something to do with the bug but I prefer to mention it anyway, we never know... Then I've started a new Sunset Valley with story progression and aging turned on; so far, it's going well. I've even played the second sunset valley longer than the first and still no long saves and no error code 12. I do hope it will stay that way! *fingers crossed*
As for the mods, I only have Awesomemod and Czezechael's one for same energy gain for all beds.

Students never get the same names. They all have different names in our games. Same goes for Downtownies.

and how does this cause harm to the game? in my game, Daniel and Mary-Sue Pleasant's third daughter married a cow mascott, he was good looking and they had good looking kids. and it's true i saw him visiting my sims still wearing his cow costume even after Uni! lol  but i don't get why it's not good for the game... 

potato nose and sprout ears! this face template is so ugly, god. that's a bad suprise Maxis gave us with those teen downtownies becoming ugly when they grow up. very annoying. oh well...

ah! sorry when i said grow up badly i meant badly looking, they grow up ugly. sorry >.<
anyway, i took some pics of them and you can see that there's something wrong about their face when they grow up, they're really not supposed to look like what they grow up into.

and now see what he looks like when he turns into an adult. Nothing to do with what he was supposed to look like! he's got that maxian male face with the ugly potato nose like i call it. ewww as a teen he didn't have the potato nose, i went into CAS and made a potato nose male sim and switch it to teen and that totally doesn't look like the goth bloke.

it's a bug in the game, i'm sure.   or maybe it's just in my game? or is there something to change in their DNA for this not to happen? 

and Bangelnuts, looks like Jennail and Kvornan are meant to have twins, in my game they had twins too, a boy and a girl. 

aah! looks like the robot maid is back, so excellent, i really missed it! 
as for who will be the customers of the salon, perhaps there will be new haircuts available only for the salon business so we'll have to send our sims to get them. just a thought. 

yes that's what I did. I sent the goth looking teen to Uni, the blond one with the black long coat and black lipstick. He grew up so badly though, I don't understand he was not supposed to look like that, it sucks that he becomes too ugly.  Anyway, then he graduated and I got him a job in the Paranormal career so he can get the resurect-o-nomitron. when he got enough money, he called the gream reaper and he had the possibility to resurrect Johnathan Tricou. Then Johnathan can resurrect all the rest of his family. I did all this without cheating.  Now as it is mentioned in another thread, I don't remember where exactly, you have to delete the corrupt death memories of each Tricou family member in SimPE before playing them.

I come back on the subject of the teen downtownie growing badly, anyone knows why this happens? As a teen he looks good and when he grows up, the face he gets is totally different from what he should have. Same goes with another teen, the one with sunglasses and the skater haircut, with brown hair. so weird, I don't get it! i believe the same problem happened with Hal Cap from Veronaville. He looks good as a teen and gets a totally different ugly face when he becomes an adult, not the one he's supposed to have. i'm sure it's a bug.

There is a way to resurrect the Tricou family without cheating, it's a mini quest in the game, there's no need of boolprop testingcheats nor SimPE. 

Same thing often happens to me but it's because of Inge's reservable beds patch. Now if you don't use this patch, I don't know... 

oh and they are so worth it! Fricorith is one gorgeous goth sim! Sim me is married to him, he's now a vampire and we have loads of kids together.  Sorry, I'm off topic but I like the Tricous so much that I couldn't help myself and post something about them when I saw your post. Just don't mind me. 

In my game, your mod conflicts with the flirt interaction "Feed a bite". My sims jump off the chair when I tell them to feed a bite. lol  When I remove your hack from the downloads folder, the interaction works again so I suppose it's because of it. oh it's not really important but I thought I'd let you know anyway.

Hermit aspiration! Now that definitely suits me perfectly! 

I'm a mix of Knowledge and Pleasure. Knowledge, because I'm very interested in paranormal stuff and would love to see ghosts actually even though they freak me out.  And Pleasure because I like to play computer games most of the time and do what I want. I'm a freaky gamer.  When I play sim me, I keep on changing her aspiration between Knowledge and Pleasure, though I don't like to date much, I'm rather happy by myself.

well, she ran away because she's not friends with the sims in your house. I suggest you to use Inge's teleporter shrub or painting Plus, teleport her in the lot, make friends with her and move her in with the teleporter. that should solve the issue.

yes that's sim me that was electrocuted by this damned child. btw the child is Capricorn, she's playful, not mean.
humm i don't know about uploading myself, i'm not well known here... i'm quite the lurker actually. 

whoa this is the very first the thread i make on here. humm anyway, i've noticed one the kids in my game goes walking around with a pointed finger and an evil wicked look on her face. She sends some sort of electroshocks to random visitors.  i had never seen it before! is that a new feature in NL? it's hilarious though.







Another thing, I've got a glitch in CAS with one of the new NL outfits for elder women. Anybody know what causes it?

I've read Motoki's posts for such a long time, first when he posted at TSR along with Pescado, then MTS2, then VS and now here. I've always liked his posts. I'll sure miss them but taking a break is good.
