Improved Body Shop lighting

I've tried it and it really does make a big difference.  This is something that has bugged me from the very first version of Body Shop that was shipped with the base game.

I use the white version of Windkeeper's Bodyshop screen replacement, found at MTS2. It doesn't change the lighting, but the plain white background makes everything appear brighter. For those who don't want to mess with Config files, this might be another option.

I use the lighter background also, but the light hack is definitely a must. Anyway, you don't have to mess with config files, you have only to put that package in MyDocuments/...(etc).../Config folder instead of /Downloads: that's the only difference with usual custom package files.

you don't have to it in config, you can stick it in downloads and it works perfectly.

Isn't it wonderful?  I found it just a little bit *too* bright actually, but as the creator says, it's a snap to change the light level--I just opened the package and changed the first series of numbers I saw from 0.8 to 0.7 across the board, and presto.  And it does work just fine in Downloads.  Can't imagine why nobody has done this before--I was even told it wasn't possible.

YAY - I end up peering at the screen from about 2 inches away when trying to use Bodyshop. No more peering!

For those who aren't comfortable with fiddling in SimPE, Wes_h has updated with two additional versions now - less bright and even lesser bright! I took "less bright" and tried it out and it looks great. See pics below:
