Don't talk to me!
« on: 2006 October 11, 12:59:08 »
THANKS THIS IS GREAT

I've got a weird situation with one particular sim in my game...

Any time another sim tries to interact with him, the action just drops from the queue.  Yet this sim can interact with others with no problems at all.  The only way another sim can interact is through an object.  ie, if he and his wife are in bed, the action to woohoo does not drop if she initiates, but she can't talk to him when they are standing.

I've forced errors on all sims on the lot to no effect.

Any ideas?

Delete the sim and use tombstone of LnD to 'get family member'

I've had this many, many times. It seems to occur when I delete the rose bouquet when my sims are in the endless cycle of putting it down. They jump, and are unable to interact.

Wouldn't that do pretty much the same thing as the force error and reset?

I can summon him to another lot and all is fine.

About to try DrBeast's suggestion of move him out and then back in.

My psychic powers at work.   Wink

Resolved.

Moved the sim out, plonked him on another lot somewhere.  Summoned him back to his home lot and proposed move in.  He is now willing to listen when his wife wants to talk to him now!   Tongue

Thanks, DrBeast

Just like in RL then...you sometimes need to take a break from everything and everyone to return with renewed vigor!  Wink

Had the same thing on another lot...  Tried eleonora's method this time...  only problem is that the sim reverts back to the very beginning of the life stage using this method.

But, Merola's multi-painting quickly fixed that!

I'm really starting to wonder just what it is that is causing this to happen everywhere!

Don't use the Tombstone, just delete him and save. When you return, he respawns by the mailbox.

Or teleport him back in after deleting and re-add to family.
