26  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Is there a fix for custom cribs + changing tables ? on: 2006 June 07, 17:10:57
No flamingos of contentment on my lots yet.    Just last night I had twin toddlers that had just transitioned.    We managed to get the teach to walk done before their energy bottomed out.    I slipped them into the cribs expecting them to get out on their own when they woke up.    They didn't.
The toddlers had to be lifted out and then spent the next wake peroid skill building on their logic.
The next time they did get out of the cribs on thier own.    That was the only thing that was changed for them.   It's interesting how much everyones games differ.

Using Inges hack that allows toddlers to get out on their own, I think the only thing they need is to have at least 2 - 3 logic points.    I have had the rare toddler get out of the cribs if they are really unhappy without the logic points, and I have also had babies throw themselves out of the cribs when they need changing.

I played the original Sims and my favorite two eps of all of them were Unleashed and Making magic.   I think if they think about what they are doing with The Pets it may be fun.    Unleashed also gave us more usable house lots and harvestable crops.    What will take the joy out of it for me is the very short life spans they are bound to have, and if they just include the pets into the 8 allowed family members per lot.

No problems at all.    Just set the options on the beds the way you want them.

There are actually two beds     The Autonomous bed and the Swinger bed.    Both of them are on the same page.

Your welcome, hopefully someone else has one in their backups somewhere.

32  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seeking an older version of skillinator on: 2006 April 18, 00:54:01
Actually I think it is dated Feb 4.    Looking at the rest of the files in this particular Directors cut it can only be Feb.     It's on it's way to you now.

Ness, I have one dated 04/02/ 2006.   If you want it PM me with your e-mail address.    I will send it to you.     Is that the only file you need?    I can send the whole thing to you if your e-mail box can handle it.
34  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: New "Love Bed" at Shaklin's SimPage. on: 2006 April 16, 19:34:01
I wonder at the compatability of this to all the Awsome things I have in my game.    They have obviously pulled animations from all sorts of different activities.   I am not a modder and haven't the foggiest idea how to even start looking at something like this.   Is this a global mod or just an object one?

I have the kiddie car that toddlers can ride from this site also.   The first time they use it you can see them zooming all over the house.   The second time they use it they become invisable along with the car.   You can still hear the car noises and the toddler giggling though.    It kind of reminded me a little of the problems we had with the Remote Car toy that comes with the game.   I have stopped using both Shaklins kiddie ride em car and the Remote Car in the game for this reason.

It does make things simpler.     I missed it when I joined a while ago.   I was hoping I had actually managed to register for the site, and not something else.       Grin

There is rainbow.    At the very bottom on the left hand side.    Choose the flag for the english for the site.

A low carbohydrate diet is helpful with a lot of things.   A nice side benefit to it is if you decrease your carbs
and increase your physical activity a little you will also probably start to lose some weight.    That being said,
if you start a low carb diet you should also research it a bit before you start.   People who have fibromyalgia
also benefit greatly from a low carb intake.

 In game camera

Press tab    it gets rid of all the buttons to make a clean picture

 press Q  to go lower
 press E   to go higher
 press Z   to zoom in
 press X   to zoom out

Arrows can control where you are going, and if you move the mouse
the right way, you can change the angle you are looking at.

 to snap a picture  - press C

Press Tab again to get back into the game

The first time I had the problem with my simmies plumbob it took me a little while to figure out what was going on.    Basically the advice I was given was put my toys away after you play.   LOL    Anytime you add  a new ep or regenerate new neighbourhoods, the game resets itself.    Whatever "toys" you have been using will replace your simmies plumbobs.   It is amusing now I know how easy it is to fix it.

Those must be really "close" family members.    giggle    What did you do to cause that do you think?
40  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Point & Laugh ? about installing lots on: 2006 April 05, 23:20:53

Thanks Bluesoup.    I forgot about the extras that Maxi gives us.    They are indeed in the Downloads.

I don't remember reading anything anywhere that says CI will check the Maxi objects.    I thought it was designed to help with the stuff in our Downloads folder specifically.   I think the only way it might work on the ingame object pkges is if the creator added a function for it to do that.    So No, CI probably doesn't have that capability.
42  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Squinge found something interesting... on: 2006 April 05, 06:26:28

Oh yes please.    A more Awsome version would be appreciated.
43  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Point & Laugh ? about installing lots on: 2006 April 05, 06:23:50

I love CI.  It allows you to actually move things around and see what they are.    I'm not usually all that organized, but I find with the CC for my simmies I tend to get carried away sometimes.   The empty pkges aren't really that big a deal, nor are your duplicate files, as long as you remember to run the CI and check the MD5.   It lists all the empty pkges and duplicates for you.  I just delete them.
44  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Point & Laugh ? about installing lots on: 2006 April 05, 06:03:14

I don't subfolder before loading with CI TaWanda.    I move the files into the folders later.    Most everything is already in their folders, so I can tell when I go into Downloads that all the loose files there
are the new ones.   Once I go into the game and check them out, I then go back into CI later and either delete them if I don't like them, or put them into their respective subfolders.
45  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Disappearing Plumbob...Lost qued Actions on: 2006 April 05, 05:32:35

The weird plumbbob substitutions in my game are caused by the Insiminator.   I have had the heart, the stool in the butt, and the microwave through the head.    Using MoveObjects to delete them does set them back to the correct plumbbob.    Is there some kind of tree spawned in the Insim Motoki?    I have to admit I don't use all the menu options in it.

And, why do lots seem to be loading about a billion (slight exaggeration, yes) empty packages every time I load one?

Sagana, I'm not sure but I think the empty pkges that show when you check your stuff with CI is caused by disabling the CC when you load lots into your game.    Actually they are caused when you disable any CC
with pkges into your game.

Before the feature with OFB being able to reuse your houses by putting them into the housing bin, I was
reloading some of my own lot segments into my game.   I didn't want a whole bunch of duplicate files so I
disabled all the walls and floors etc.  I ended up with tons of empty pkges.
47  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Squinge found something interesting... on: 2006 April 05, 04:58:55
This mod works well so far.    It's interesting, you can see the animations Mom goes through to find the nipple for the baby, but no clothing is removed.    When the baby is finished feeding Mom sort of rocks side
to side while she is holding the little one.  Another bonus is there are no bottles to discard.

whenever you click on a sim with the intent of a social interaction with another adult (or ANYthing really) you get the "breast feed baby" option. Made me snicker since it DOES apply to a lot of adults i know

Squinge has updated this pie menu now to not show up unless you click on a baby.

Now, I know Canada has free medical care

Not in my lifetime.    We all have our provincial health plans which we pay fees for every month.    If you want extra coverage for glasses, dentures, etc you have to have another policy which again you pay monthly fees for.    The only medical care that people receive free are the ones who have the health insurance paid for by our welfare system.  And again that's not really free.    The working population are actually charged for that when they pay their yearly taxes.
49  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Flying pig on: 2006 March 31, 05:52:12
The only two things that I have added to a completely clean new neighbourhood for decoration is a windmill and a water tower.    I have a flying pig now.    I am positive it must be either one of those or maybe it requires both of them to activate our porcine friend.    Try it and see.

edit
No business establishments have been set up yet and I have no families yet.    All that is there is about 6 empty
houses, a water tower and a windmill.     I haven't started playing this neighbourhood yet, I am still just setting it up.
