quote - That would be subfolders in SavedSims, right?

No, the SavedSims folder is the same as pre-Nightlife.  It doesn't like subfolders at all.

I have many folders in my Downloads folder, inside some of them are folders, so I know you can get at least
two down on the tree and the game will still read them.    If you wanted to you could put your folders by site name and then put all the various subfolders for content inside.   for example ........build, furnishings, makeup etc.  Your genetic and clothes meshes work from a subfolder in your downloads as well.

I read somewhere that vampirism isn't genetic, even if both the parents are vampires.    Please let us know how it goes.   LOL    It should be interesting with the little ones awake in the daytime and the parent awake at night.    You may need to hire a Nanny.  And I know how much you enjoy nannies.  giggle

Did you by any chance get a new burner for your puter?   Some burners only like certain brands of discs for some reason.

I'm not a Sims2 genius by any means.   It sounds to me like you have a bad instal.   The custom content disabler in NL doesn't include skins or genetics.     Did you backup your SavedSims folder and your Downloads folder before installing NL?    Maybe you could slip the old folders back in.    Hopefully someone else will answer your thread and be able to tell you how to fix this instal.

Nope, hasn't happened to me yet.  But I read on another forum that you can add it to your simmies
inventory.   LMAO

Motoki I don't know if that is true or not.  I have all my hacks that I am using in a subfolder in my downloads folder.  They seem to be working just fine.   I like to put them in a folder of their own because then I know exactly where they are.    I know you can put other things in subfolders in the Downloads, why not your hack files?   What I need to find out is whether we can now put subfolders in our SavedSims
folder.     This would make my folders so much neater.

The hacks I have in my game are Insem Dest Uv version

Darn, that's too bad.   It didn't work for me either.

I am not sure if this works or not, I haven't had an opportunity to try it.    This message came through one of the other groups I belong to.  If it works, it would certainly save the wear and tear on your cd's.

I discovered that Maxis made it easy to run your sims2 or university
without the cd.  If you look in the respective folders there is a
support folder that has a file named The Sims 2_Code or The Sims 2
University_Code depending on which parent folder you're looking in.
If you click on that you can type in your registration code on the
back of the jewel case and it will save it to the computer.  After
that you don't have to have the disks in the drive.
