26  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Yellowpee again... (two more issues) on: 2006 December 17, 15:00:51
Tested again. No more chocolate puddle bug. Thanks. I wonder why is it always me who spots those things. I begin to feel like an official yellowpee tester or something.  Tongue
27  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Yellowpee again... (two more issues) on: 2006 December 17, 13:36:44
1) I didn't know until today that fully outgoing male sims can pee on the Electric Reindeer! Unfortunately they pee blue;

2) Sometimes, when you yell at pet, it wets itself; again, the pee is blue. I've recently had a cat who wetted himself and started to lick it. Ewwww.
Fixed.

Tested. Yelling at pet works fine. But reindeer peeing doesn't -- old chocolate puddle problem strikes again. Toddlers steal it, dogs lick it and roll in it, a total mess.

There's no actual puddle in the litterbox, that's a graphical state on the litterbox and outside what I can directly affect.

Well, I'm aware of that. What I meant was if the litterbox recoloring could be included in yellowpee hack, just for consistency?
28  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Yellowpee again... on: 2006 December 16, 19:08:32
I've made a break from playing, but now I'm coming back.  Wink

I've made more tests and indeed the problem lies in noteleportpuddle being too strict. It wasn't so strict in previous version, does it really have to be this way?

But, I found a few interactions not covered by yellowpee:

1) I didn't know until today that fully outgoing male sims can pee on the Electric Reindeer! Unfortunately they pee blue;

2) Sometimes, when you yell at pet, it wets itself; again, the pee is blue. I've recently had a cat who wetted himself and started to lick it. Ewwww.

3) I'll keep asking for recoloring the little puddle in cats' litterbox. Shouldn't all pee in the game be yellow, anyway?

29  Ye Olde Simmes 2 Archives: Dead Creators / Ye Olde Syberspunke Archives / Re: Testers Wanted: No "Crib Death" By Pets on: 2006 December 16, 17:13:11
Thanks! I made a long break from playing, now I return and find this! I've just tested it, works great.

As for the other objects being chewed to pieces while being occupied, I recall seeing this situation: a dog was "working" on the double bed with an adult Sim sleeping in it. When the bed broke, he just jumped from it and walked away, unharmed. But this made me think what a baby would do. Rest of this story is in the post mentioned above. Smiley

Now, with your hack in, the dog/cat can still chew/scratch the other side of the bed, but when its occupied, it stops doing this after some time and the bed stays okay. If the bed is not occupied, it falls into pieces as usual.

I'd love to use this hack, but it doesn't work for me. Here's an error log: CAS-made sim, in new neighbourhood, looking for the job using a computer. The only other thing in my Downloads at that time was Twojeffs' ACR. He jumped somewhere about the first job offer should appear.

Edited to add: I guess I should remind I have Pets, but no OFB.
31  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Yellowpee again... on: 2006 November 26, 17:17:35
Have not observed problem. Sprinklers sprinkle fine in my game.

They do sprinkle, they just don't leave any puddles. I took out all my downloads (clothes, genetics, everything), leaving only four files from yellowpee.zip, and still there are no puddles to mop up. So it's not a hack conflict.

I don't mind since I hate having to have my sim stop doing college stuff and go mop up. Smiley

I do mind.  Smiley They should have to mop it up, gain those cleaning points and have a reason to hate the stupid prankster. Tongue Anyway, I know that for some people it would be a feature, but for me having no puddles after setting off a sprinkler feels like cheating, so I consider it as a bug.
32  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Why are my waitresses and DJs wearing Maid Uniforms? on: 2006 November 26, 01:28:59
I've seen that too. I have Pets, but no OFB, no FFS, no GLS.
33  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Yellowpee again... (two more issues) on: 2006 November 25, 22:04:08
I've already thanked today for correcting this hack.

But... pulling prank on a sprinkler results in leaving water puddles everywhere, doesn't it? Well, it does, after removing yellowpee. Otherwise the floor remains dry.

Where should I click to produce an error log?...

(Edited to change the subject.)
34  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Chocolate peeing again! on: 2006 November 25, 13:14:17
Now it works fine, thanks.  Kiss The update is posted half an hour after my first post - I'm really impressed.

35  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Chocolate peeing again! on: 2006 November 25, 12:55:12
I hope you've noticed that:
-- removed Inteen, Insim and a few other hacks I'd added lately

Besides, all kittens have nine lives.  Wink
36  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Chocolate peeing again! on: 2006 November 25, 12:31:05
I had this problem long long time ago, it dissapeared after updating and everything was fine. But today a little boy in my testing family (new beta Kitten Killer Wink) watered the shrub outside, leaving a chocolate puddle instead of yellow one.

What I did by far:
 -- made everyone in the family (including pets) pee their pants -- they leave yellow puddles, the problem is related only to relieving in the bushes;
 -- copied all files from latest yellowpee.zip in Pets directory (from 30 October) to ensure I didn't deleted something by mistake;
 -- removed Inteen, Insim and a few other hacks I'd added lately (excluding new ACR, though, I have trust in that...);
-- tested it with and without shrubtoilethack -- this hack seems okay.
No change, the problem remains the same.

The error log attached comes from Force Error on the puddle. The puddle when outside evaporates normally.
37  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: no instant love more like no love EVER! on: 2006 November 18, 17:00:20
A Sim can propose to his love even if the other one doesn't love him back, at least in my game. I've never had a refusal just because of lackingf mutual love. Since they're engaged, anyone of them can initiate wedding. I had a few Sims married without having even a crush to their spouses. No more "he just took my hand and I knew he was the love of my life" stuff. I love noinstantloves.  Cheesy
38  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Destroying furniture bug (a fix request maybe?) on: 2006 November 18, 16:01:19
The furniture looks just fine until a certain amount of chewing/scratching is done, and then it just falls apart.  And that chewing/scratching has to be all in the same session -- the furniture magically repairs itself when the pet stops damaging it.

Well, good to know that. Now I need a hack making them stop scratching/chewing just before that certain amount.  Smiley
39  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Destroying furniture bug (a fix request maybe?) on: 2006 November 18, 14:53:56
I've just reproduced the whole situation, making two babies, so I can compare. After one infant dissapeared in destroyed crib, I made them both selectable by Insim. I can right-click on the icon of the remaining baby to center on it, but I can't do that on the icon of the other one. Restore family didn't work, save&exit didn't either.

They are testing family, anyway, so nothing bad happened. I just wanted to warn about this bug and ask for a fix.
40  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Destroying furniture bug (a fix request maybe?) on: 2006 November 18, 14:05:09
First of all, I think it's the stupidest thing in the new EP. Have you ever seen a cat breaking a big double wooden bed into pieces only by scratching it a few times? Smaller objects, as toys from the box, yes. But big pieces of furniture? It would be a lot better if the scratching or chewing lowered the Environmental score of the object, even to negative values, thus forcing player to replace it. But I doubt if a fix like that is even possible, anyway.

But what will happen if a pet destroys a crib with an infant inside? I've just had this situation... well, in fact I was curious and directed the cat to do it. Cheesy The crib falls into pieces and the baby disappears. Its icon stays in place, it's still selectable (due to non-awesome Squinge's hack, now I'm going to replay this situation without it), there's still an option on Insim to grow it up. But there's no options to change its diaper on the changing table and no option to take the bottle from the fridge. When it's starving, no crying is heard and no Social Worker shows up to take it away. And FFS Lot Debugger has no option to retrieve a missing Sim.

I know I can train the pets or get a "No Scratching anything" hack from MTS2, but I do really want to have some of them scratching or chewing inappropiate objects. Is it possible to make beds and sofas unbreakable, but still having an option to scratch them?
41  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Yellow puddle error on: 2006 November 03, 20:06:37
Gee, I was sure I had most recent version, but it was the one from 26 October and I didn't notice the yellowpeeobject.package update on 29 October. I've replaced it and I'll check if it helps when I'll have another chance to play. Thanks.
42  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Yellow puddle error on: 2006 November 01, 14:43:27
I guess it's nothing serious, but I'll report it just in case.

A dog made a puddle on the sidewalk (lifted his leg beside Inge's teleporter bush  Cheesy) and it didn't evaporate. Everytime he returns there to pee again, I get an error while the new puddle connects with the old one.  Everything works fine after hitting Reset. The new puddle evaporates, the one on the sidewalk stays and Sims have an option to mop it up. And it's the second tile of the sidewalk, isn't it the pedestrians portal or sth like that?

BTW, I repeat my question: is it possible to add a recolor of the little puddle in cat litterbox to this hack? Just for better looking.  Smiley
43  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: can i make dogs stop peeing on sidewalk? on: 2006 October 28, 17:50:58
That can happen if you do not install all of the required files, perhaps by yanking only one file from the Director's Cut. The Yellow Pee hack requires 2 other files not otherwise labelled "yellow pee", and you should get the zip package and install from that rather than trying to manually clip from the Director's Cut if you want it.

I prefer installing from individual zip files already, so maybe I deleted something later by mistake. Nevermind. The current version works fine and it seems that Dukasha's shrubtoilethack from MTS2 works too -- no errors yet.  Smiley

BTW, what about changing the little puddle in cat litterbox to yellow, too?
44  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: can i make dogs stop peeing on sidewalk? on: 2006 October 28, 10:27:04
I found this: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=198695&c=1, but Pescado idea seems a lot better. I've just tested it and I love it -- puddles belonging to sims evaporate too, quite quickly. Smiley

BTW, I had a bug with an earlier version of this hack -- sims peeing in the bushes were making chocolate puddles instead of yellow ones (and I was wondering what the hell is going on with the toddler until I found out where her grandpa loves to relieve his bladder...). But now everything's ok and maybe I'll later try to put in a bush watering hack again.
45  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Toddlers' throw up fear on: 2006 October 27, 06:48:53
The one I think is funny is when a parent, particularly popularity sims, have a fear of their infant rejecting them for playing with them.  Cheesy  Like, how would that happen?

If the throwing up on parent could be counted as rejecting and thus fulfilling the fear, it would be quite funny.  Cheesy
I guess the rolling of wants and fears doesn't check age of target Sim, because once I had a mother fearing death of her newborn, and as we all know, infants are perfectly immortal (it was so cute and realistic, so I wish they aren't  Tongue)

Funny, i've never had a toddler throw up, and i've played the game for two years. I've had tons of babies throw up, but never once did a toddler throw up. I thought it was strange after a while. I've had a few toddlers have that fear, and many adults, but toddlers have never thrown up for me. Maybe i'm just lucky Grin

Have you ever seen them drinking from spoiled bottles? They always throw up after that (and immediately smile as if nothing happened). Maybe you have Inge's bottomless bottle or another hack which takes care of bottles lying around before they go bad?

Oh yes, pregnant sims will get a fear of throwing up, having an accident, or passing out, even if they don't have morning sickness once they get their first bump.

From my experience, they never fear throwing up before getting the first bump, unless they are sick - an utterly nonsense for me. Maybe there's nothing that could trigger a chance of rolling that fear earlier, and since wants and fears are hardcoded, it can't be made a bit more sensible.  Undecided
46  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Error on hungry kitten - hack conflict? on: 2006 October 24, 21:51:01
My own PC is running Linux, so I play Sims on my parents' one (if I can borrow it  Tongue) Recently I finally switched my game to English,  because I read English Sims forums and my reverse translating wasn't always succesful. ;-)

Did you just volunteer to do the Polish translation for all my stringsets?

Well, if you really want them translated, I guess I could give it a try, but I don't guarantee the results.  Smiley
47  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Error on hungry kitten - hack conflict? on: 2006 October 24, 00:36:04
That *IS* the normal name. It simply is "The Cat Condos". They're being silly and Californian, you see names like that all the time in that hellhole.

Well, "cat condos" seems a  bit more normal name. Smiley Besides, the Polish name, translated literally, is something like "The Thing to Scratch".

(Grr, I feel my English fails me when it comes to write, although I understand everything perfectly...)
48  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Error on hungry kitten - hack conflict? on: 2006 October 23, 23:51:24
No, that's not the problem. She eats pet food all right when it is served. Although sometimes she stops before fulfilling her hunger bar, thinking "crossed pet food" and, at one time, "Lunch Meat Sandwich" -- I guess she wants to try Sim food, but she has no trained behaviours yet, so it doesn't affect her ability to eat.

I meant that when pet bowl was empty, she didn't go to her Sim and meowed to make her fiil the bowl. I vaguely recall seeing adult cat doing that. Most of interesting behavious are disabled for kittens. Ok, it's realistic that kitten can't jump on bed or counter, but why it can't play the toy mouse or go inside the "Los Gatos Condominiums" (what's the normal name of it in English, anyway? Smiley). If it isn't hardcoded, it would be nice to unlock it... (hint hint Smiley)
49  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Error on hungry kitten - hack conflict? on: 2006 October 23, 21:09:54
Need to keep all those hacks up to date.

I'm trying to, but there are too many of them... And if I were a bit more careful in reading, I just could save this few hours for playing. Sad

childsleepover?

What does kids being able to sleep over have to do with filling the cat's bowl or hunger is what I want to know

I would never thought of it, either. At first I removed everything related to food and motives. Otherwise I would track it earlier.

One more thing: does 'Be asked to fill food bowl' mean that the kitten would ask my Sim for food? She didn't. She let to be tossed in the air and played stupidly, the message "Zoe is starving" came, but she didn't even try to ask. I noticed that kittens can't do even half of the thing adult cats do. Even play a toy mouse, why? They just sleep, eat, pee and walk from one room to another. They're utterly boring!
50  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Error on hungry kitten - hack conflict? on: 2006 October 23, 21:01:37
Found it!

And the winner is... childrensleepover.package, made by Squinge. Well, it IS on the Pets-incompatible list and I must have missed it.  Angry Funny, it says "EP3 required" and I had no problems earlier, having no OFB. Smiley

Thanks for all help. Smiley
