I don't think they can fish off a foundation-type-wharf, but you can make the terrain look enough like a wharf to pass.
I'll try the snap-objects thing on the next one. I'm eager to use the fishtank like a column.
Do the fish die? Or are they just a permi-animation?
(This is the first time I've used the fishtank ingame)

Try removing things that are non-directors cut.
This was happening to me with EVERY sim when they interacted with another. After removing all of the "AL approved" hacks from here and only installing the ALDC, the problem stopped.

I just noticed 3 squares that are un-carpeted. Doh.
All eps, no sp's for any of my lots. Forgot to mention that on the castle.
I'm planning a 2nd house. We'll see what happens timewise.
(I'm having a phone battle with a taxi company because I left my phone in the taxi, and it's been 3 days and it hasn't been handed into the cops or into the head office. So I'm gonna report it stolen if it's not in my hands by end of work today.)

Download from here: Castle Del UFO.rarCastle Del UFO. Floor Plan Shots: Spawning cubicals for 3. 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, indoor spa. Top floor for skilling/hobby items. Cafe style tables/chairs on each level. Small garden patch for home-grown food. Fishing wharf. Moat with gate and security lights. Modern interior with room for the whole family. Make this house yours today! (Modeled by the lovely Ottomas family. .. the toddler is playing in the bathroom. His mother decided the best place to dump baby would be on the fishing wharf. Why?! Not like he could drown, but still... it boggles the mind as to why that was the ideal place.)

I think the OP was also asking about the placing of ceiling tiles. If you hit the 45' angle button (beside the top down view button), move the mouse forward to get into the house or room, then click and drag to change the angle, you can then place any floor from build mode on the ceiling. My sim wandering around the lobby of his tastefully decorated apartment. You can use anything, but some of the carpets look a little strange with all the shagginess. Holding shift and clicking fills an enclosed space much like placing floors. Just move your mouse to the ceiling until the floor appears on the ceiling and hit shift-click. Done.

Zazazu: I have years and years of photos on my externals, along with music, movies, important documents, university lectures and other stuff that I need for future reference.
In a fire, I wouldn't have time to carry my huge heavy computer out to a safe place, but I can fit both hard drives into the pockets of my jacket and run. They're insured, but that can't bring back the memories.

Trlaavh: All you need now is the fire-breathing toddler! I only get a BSOD while using bitlord. Bittorrent and Limewire freeze my system to a standstill. The Sims on the other hand, works fine. For safety, I suggest getting an external HDD that is equal or greater than the space of your current HDD system. Do regular backups onto the external so that if your computer DOES die in a spectacular way, you still have your backups. Save all your iso's and no-cd cracks onto it in case something happens. Also, in event of fire, external portables are easier to grab than the whole box.

Photo:
From what I can see, you removed the rounded nook from the plans. That would of ment removing external walls. Otherwise, nice layout.
Jesslla:
It's a bit of a hit-or-miss when it comes to those rooves. I've had them fail more than I've had them work. That one in particular was drawn over a space 5x5. I think the point of the cone needs to be in the middle of a square for it to work. if it's on a corner, it'll settle itself to be in a square - hence the off-sided cones.
Don't quote me on that one though.

My 3rd house for this month (from memory). An Apartment building of awesomeness. 105 Sim Apartments. I took far too many photos of this building. 22 in all. Front of the house. I think it's a little more modern yet has a victorian feel. The back of the house. 2 single bedrooms, one master bedroom, one bathroom. Full kitchen + seating and dining for 6. Includes a few luxury skilling items. 2 double beds - maybe for 2 flatmates or parents and their teen. Same for the last floor with bathroom, kitchen and living room/dining. The main hub of the apartment block. A library/study, an area to complete assignments or do homework, a bar for those late night social gatherings, a train set and a pool table to satisfy the inner child and inner pool shark. Full bathroom attached. NB: The gate on the bar area may need to be removed if it interferes with social activitys. I suggest swapping it for the DMA Bar set so you have a tender on tap. The final level of this house. 2 crib-pods, one master bedroom with walk-in closet and 1 childs room with twin beds. Perfect for vamps, zombies and those people who hate natural light. Full bathroom, kitchen and dining along with a living room fit for a king. Slideshow with individual room pictures: Download: http://www.4shared.com/file/64791714/d04a7990/105_Sim_Lane_Apartments.htmlEach flat is in the 2500 range. Terrain is NOT flat - I couldn't fix it. Enjoy. PS: I have one more coming, but it may not be up on time. If I do post it, it'll be unfurnished.

My 2nd house for this month (not counting the 'hidden' lot). Apparently I forgot to take photos of the front of the house. I didn't change the outside at all, so there is really no point in taking front-end photos. Top Floor: 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, study room. I did some creative move-object staircase work to get the walls on the 2nd floor to work. The study nook. Ground Floor. Kitchen, Dining, Bathroom, Livingroom, Study. Decorative fountains. Living room. Not sure of the fire hazard - I've never really used fireplaces before. Close-up shot of the decorations. I'm loving the white-on-dark waterfeatures. Study Room with TOD Kitchen Dining room and side-shot of kitchen. I'm aware there are issues with the long tables. If this occurs, remove the middle chairs. Download link 105 Sim Lane 2brm.rarThis is more my style than the last one I posted. I still have one more to go - it's an apartment but it's not looking how I would like. I'll post it once I take pics. All ep's no sp's.

For those of you having trouble downloading with explorer and don't want to install a new browser, try using getright. It has an inbuilt explorer that will open the webpage into it's componants. You can then locate the file and download it without IE having a heart attack.
It will also usually resume the file if you fail to download the first time.

The apartment building tools was also covered in another thread, but to reitterate:
If your apartment is occupied, use boolProp aptSubLotSpecificToolsDisabled false.
If your apartment is vacant, yet still zoned as an apartment, use boolProp aptSubLotSpecificToolsDisabled false AND boolProp aptBaseLotSpecificToolsDisabled false.
This allows you to add and remove walls, edit the common areas and do landscaping, all while occupied with sims to test the functionality of adding that extra hot-tub to the basement.

I have to agree that Cho is a bad mother.
After moving her and her spawn into the Reily household, the mother went upstairs, leaving baby Etsu there by herself. I had to instruct the mother to pick up the toddler before the house would vacate itself.
On 2nd thought, I should of left the baby there while I extracted all the goodies out of the Cho apartment.
If I moved the family of orphans into a house with someone who has a LTW of 10 children, would the orphans count as adopted children and therefore go towards fulfulling the want?

My first attempt. I don't like this house much. I made it bigger, but it's just not my sort of house. Download: 105 Sim Lane_1.rarFront of house: Backof house: Yea, I kinda thrashed the sports activity and playground objects a little - but I hate sims that do nothing. Bottom Floor: The pool was originally ment to be level with the rest of the flooring, but it wanted it on terrain. So terrain it got. I don't like the half-walls + full walls thing going on in walls-up mode, but it was literally the only way I could think of to get natural light into that pool area. Top Floor: Spawning room, Childs room, two teen rooms and a master bedroom. They have to share a bathroom (hahhahah!). Additional notes: I don't like the AL wardrobes all that much - if you don't put a wall behind them they are just open. I would prefer they were like the photo booth crossed with the dressers - you get a solid object with Woohoo and clothing functions. There are no lights in the house other than what it came with. I got annoyed and forgot them. Not play-tested. I stole the fountains in the pool idea from a previous challenge.

I haven't started BUILDING yet, but I have 3 houses graphed out and ready to build.
It'll just have to wait till I get to the weekend and get a day off to do some hard-core simming.
I'll scan the plans tomorrow and post them up too.

Wouldn't the Object Catagory code direct you in almost the right location?
I'm assuming (foolishly) that it's set up like a tree; you choose the trunk (furniture), then branch (comfort), then on until you reach the blue sofa with the wooden frame.
Because there are numerous 'branches' and even numerous 'trunks', the numbers in order may be the location of the item (10, 10, 9 or 1,0,1,0,9 or 10,109).
FYI: I tried a tree/branch search using those numbers (silly, I know), and came up with Comfort, Seating, Bamboo Chair (BV). 1, 01, 09
