3 hours later and past bedtime: found a chair living director bundle conflicting with the chair director. I'll check if the bundle was the culprit tomorrow.

I had one conflict once, but it didn't crash in debug mode, just showed me a picture of the other object.
I tried debug mode here and it crashed nonetheless.
If I had another instance of this chair, it would show in clean installer, wouldn't it?
I suppose I could try with the simpe guilld scanner, in case the chair sneaked in in another form.

Yes, I have Ikea. I recently downloaded the decustomized and updated versions. I put it in a folder in the Downloads folder.
Thank you for everything you do to make the game more enjoyable, I'll have to create a folder in your name, I have most of your hacks and edits. Even though I don't play(due to a bloated objects folder, and an inability for getting rid of what I like), my game is up-to-date.

I tried playing for the first time in months, with all expansion packs and no securom. I haven't put any objects back in the game yet, except for the hacked eastores ones, and a lot of LordDarcy's hacked ones: preorders, beds with comfort and others. And my hacks.
Is there any known bug with any of those?

Same thing happened to me when I got a new pc with vista. Took a few days to realise it was zone alarm since I had to remove it, disabling it did not free me.
Now I use nod32 with firewall, since Kasperski did not let me surf with XP either, and told me it was my fault.
Still miss good old ZA though.

I'm getting confused  If I download this last unbundled bundle, do I have to delete all the "body...." in my folder, and should I delete the scskins.package too, or keep it?
And if i look at the SC_Hair_Outfits.package, I see clothing in it too. What should I do with this one?

It is not a computer problem since freetime is the only game or application that does not work!
My ati agp has 256 ram, and I have 3000 memory.
And of course I cleaned the drivers before installing the new ones.
And the answer was directed not to me, but to someone with the same problem.

I still get no signal after a freeze.
I tried to change drivers, and I remembered what it was like: new drivers make my screen ripple, with a few minutes between the ripple and the response to the point or click. I had to change back. Last time it took quite a few times to get them to work: install over, new install, etc.The newest ati drivers do not play nice with agp cards from what I have heard anyway.
Why is it that you have to jump through hoops to be able to play a game???
Maybe it was the same with BV, I didn't not really play, just read about your glitches, waited, prepared, installed, and there was free time. I'm glad my daughter came to visit with it, buying something that doesn't work is infuriating, specially when you go to the BBS and read comments like, it's not a game problem, it's a problem with your computer, said to someone with the same problem. By Paladin, no less.

I have been struck with the dark screen, have to stop the computer syndrome.
I have bon voyage, but never really played, and now freetime, which my daughter is trying to play with no hacks on a different xp account.
Every 20 mns, lights out! 
I heard of this problem with BV, but as I installed it much later, did not check.
I don't have securom, played with the nocd right from the start.
Anyone have a solution?

Or download the simenhancer trial, open the dna tab of the sim you want, choose a skintone from a dropdown menu, you can choose a secondary skin too, by their names, and do the same for the parents if you want, they're in the same window.
Couldn't be simpler. 

When i try to make them interact, I get an error in the attraction script, and resetting doesn't work, it keeps popping up if they are on the same lot.
Is it just my Riverblossom, and can I fix it?

Has anyone else noticed that duplicates are not spotted by the clean installer when you check items downloaded with a house to the compressed ones in your download folder?
About half of them seem to be spotted now. Yet when I throw them in their allocated folders, I am asked to replace or not.
I'm trying the simpe scan folder now, but that takes more than an hour. And I have to boot after re-installing the normal sized fonts, or I can't see the scanfolder controls.

Yes I was talking about the binning tool which is longer than the 1st edition datgen where you just had to throw all the files in the browser, tick the right colours and save in one click. No opening each file individually, or saving individually as I have to do because if you change the text in the tool, it changes all the colours to the text you typed instead. Sigh.I hate change when it is actually regression. But I am getting used to it.

I have just realised that datgen doesn't work with seasons, it gives empty packages. At least the old datgen I scrounged up after my usual got corrupted.
Since no-one answered my squeals for help, I started using simpe, which is a lot more tedious, but works. I have realised today that the new-old datgen when it worked before seasons made only adult hair and disabled the rest.
But, if you're still there, i have a new problem: when I look at the binned hair in bodyshop, it says black even though it is in the red bin. What am i doing wrong?
I open the file in the right bin, have only compress checked in options, so it keeps the same name.
Edit: I have modified this opening the files in Simpe, and realised I could do it by manually editing before saving in options. One more step to add.
Unless I'm missing something?

Edit 2: if I try to modify while binning, all the packages will have the same name(the one that appears while hovering)

I still use navetsea's, i like the body, but I find the face off-coloured. And the skintones a tad similar.

Yes, I'm sure. It's easier to see using the bald head, but it is there underneath all the others too. It's a texture that attach itself to the scalp. Sometimes it does it to a specific colour only, but if you have the four colours usually it does it to all.

I've had a few of those. It's custom content overwriting Maxis. I had to do the "take out half and see if it's fixed" dance to find the responsible hairs.
And sometimes a male one created problems for female hair, so you can't take shortcuts.
Sometimes if the tatoos are specific you can guess who is the culprit. And sometimes it's several doing it on top of one another.
