1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Fix for Fence of Farmington? on: 2013 March 26, 02:04:41
Columbia,

Is this more or less what you're looking for?

I edited the mesh slightly to get all four sides of the post the same, and then assigned the post to channel 4.  You can now either have the fence posts match the walls and keep the border, or you can make them solid to match the outline/cap/rail colour instead.

Here's the package file if you think it will work for you.  It only contains the files necessary to implement the changes.  These files will override the original files, so if you've already used the fence, you will probably need to delete and place new copies and/or possibly clear the game caches in order for the changes to work.

I also updated the matching Farmington gate on the sides that face the fence.

NOTE: Only works in games that have the "Outdoor Living" stuff pack installed.

KT,

As an experiment, I decrapped your countertop file and referenced its OBJD inside the MDLR resource from the original package (decrapped & installed via launcher).

This is my first time working with counters, so I wasn't sure what would happen, but it actually worked.  The counter functions (EA) normally and does switch to the countertop if you insert a dishwasher or trash compactor.

Would this fix be of benefit to anyone in addition to your standalone version?

I can attach it if so.  I don't want to add any more confusion than necessary with all the work you guys have been doing to get all these items straightened out.

Does anyone else have an issue with some of the windows from the Bahhaus Set? Namely my issue is the Concrete Border Window and Transparent Window by Bahhaus. When put on a diagonal wall they cut away an entire, unrelated, square of wall next to the window.

I had this same issue but managed to fix the diagonals by editing the OBJDs.  I've attached a fix .package that has the corrections (DeCrapped version).  Just place it in Mods/Packages.  The diagonals should no longer make those gaps

There were too many MTDoor materials, the cutout tiles per level were wrong, and one of the diagonal index TGI's was incorrect.  Just normal blundering.

Hope it helps.
