Won't your game etc be lost once the computer is shut off?

I have never had a problem with anything other than the AwesomeMod itself. I have yet to be able to download it, it still times out.  Everything else I download, zips through quickly.   

I would, but in previous Sims, I found the exchange stuff usually ended up corrupting my game. All I see there are recolors anyway, basically. Thanks anyway.
