I don't have an answer, but I have a suggestion: Don't use Norton. It's terrible.
102  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: Wormhole navigation on: 2008 October 09, 14:35:58
There's a "rename" cheat, yes.
103  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Is antiredundancy necessary for AL? on: 2008 October 04, 23:17:56
I will help you by saying "It doesn't work like that, idiot.". First of all: Antiredundancy IS necessary to avoid a BFBVBS if you expect to play your neighbourhood very long. Furthermore, running out of any NPC will force the game to generate a new one. Corruption will not, unless I am VERY much mistaken, occur. Also, don't create a new thread just because nobody responded to your first one.

Do you have patched version? One Gus Smedstad reported this problem in "Patch Weirdness"; search is your friend Tongue
105  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: Over 900 negative posts about Spore on Amazon on: 2008 September 25, 13:01:46
"Fill in"? Don't you mean "create more"? This IS still EAxis we're talking about, after all.
106  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: Wormholes on: 2008 September 24, 16:05:40
You do not buy them or get them - you will sometimes find a black hole, and, if you have the key, you can fly through it to get somewhere else. If I am not mistaken, black-hole generation is totally sadorandom.
107  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: Common Origin to All Life in the Galaxy? (Getting Rid of Downloads) on: 2008 September 24, 16:04:09
It isn't downloading back things you have deleted, the problem is that earlier stages cannot be deleted. Every time you edit your creature, it saves a copy of the old version; these copies are hidden and therefore difficult to delete. If you toggle "Buddy Content" off and then on again (or vice-versa) in the options, you should be able to see them and delete them, but I may be remembering incorrectly.
108  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How to get rid of SecuRom, NOW on: 2008 September 24, 14:29:44
By the gods, are you retarded? Seriously. Who could possibly be this stupid? Probably a sock; my money is on The Tard's sock, sent to make her seem wonderful in comparison, so that her return would be made better for her.
109  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Apartment Life: Obligatory Hate/Love Topic on: 2008 September 24, 14:14:27
Get the hell off of my internet until you learn English. I am not at all surprised to learn that you are "totally stoned", since you seem to have the mental capacity to match.
110  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: Bored on: 2008 September 23, 21:27:00
The little "Patching Files..." dialogue box obscured the latter sentence of your post. Seeing only "I'm hoping they add fish.", I immediately thought "So long, and thanks for all the fish.". Will have to enter space stage as a Vogon now, hunt down the Splotch-Earth, and destroy it.
111  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Macro Control: Macrotastics on: 2008 September 18, 14:44:15
Pescado generally only makes the things he actually wants in his game. Why can't you just use macro.../concentrate?
112  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: Lest we forget: SPORE on: 2008 September 17, 21:26:48
Ellatrue: You may have a better shot by downloading the png that you click to make the large preview window appear; I can't actually test this out, but it seems that those pics are the "xyzcreature.png" to your "xyzcreature_lg.png".
113  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Apartment Life Borkiness, or how i ended the world in 1 hour. on: 2008 September 15, 23:20:14
My sims always want to fish in the summer, even if there is not and has never been a pond on their lot. I usually lock the want and take them to the Ole Fishing Hole, a community lot I made specifically for fishing.

It seems to me that the problem isn't "wanting" to fish, but actually undertaking the fishing action in the spot where the pond used to be. Of course, that would be a little difficult to figure out considering the poster has negative grammar, which is of course less grammar than none at all. For the record: queue != cue. A queue is best defined as a "lineup", a list where items are constantly processed from the head and new items are added to the tail, whereas a cue can be the stick with which one plays pool, or a signal of some sort.
114  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Threee Lakes Hotel ate my sims? on: 2008 September 15, 23:15:27
If I recall, that's true of deleting UNI subhoods if and only if you have another UNI subhood around for the dormies to be shuffled into by the game, or something to that effect. It might be true of BV subhoods and others as well, but definitely only if you have another one. More than likely, though, it's not possible at all.

I NOMinate MATY itself, which poses to the greater unwashed, uneducated masses as a paysite, but is actually the forum in which I am posting right now.
116  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: MASSIVE SECURITY HAZARD in Spore! on: 2008 September 04, 21:37:44
So, now that the splotchen are overtaking torrent sites and the world at large, did anyone ever figure out how to excise the data from Splotchcritter image files?
(For the record, my computer username is not my own name or even something remotely dangerous in the hands of others, but I like mah privacy.)
117  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: Lest we forget: SPORE on: 2008 September 04, 18:24:34
You mean Didgeridoos?
(No, I have nothing of value to say beyond that.)

May I humbly suggest that Skata here be painfully spayed/neutered with a rusty farming implement?
119  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Apartment Life Borkiness, or how i ended the world in 1 hour. on: 2008 August 27, 15:20:33
Also my sims can play The sims 3 on the videogame thingy, but there's just a blue screen and no sound.
Are you sure this is a bug? It sounds like an accurate description of what TS3 will be like.
What are you talking about?  TS3 will be the bestest game EVAR!

(Credit goes to The Literate Base. If you don't get it, read MOAR #grah.)
120  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Alien question on: 2008 August 26, 14:01:33
If I recall correctly, the game doesn't prevent aliens from overheating at all, since there's no difference between them and other sims besides skintone. It's just Prima Guide L&P. Check the warmth thread in the War Room for more.
121  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Transferred files to external...I broke it? on: 2008 August 25, 16:37:23
If you are skilled with regedit.exe, however, you can change the registry pointers to point to the new locations. To do so, simply choose the "Run" command from the start menu and type "regedit", and then edit the registry pointers you need to change.
122  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Non-awesome user considers installing Seasons, requests assistance! on: 2008 August 08, 19:27:20
So... I've got Seasons installed and working fine, so I decided I might as well take  a leap and install BV and maybe FT as well. These are my concerns, though:

I have Squinge stuff. I don't know if it's safe to use or not. It isn't much... SavageNoRelChange and SpyOnNeighbours.

I have Crammyboy's nudist mod. It's been updated for BV and FT, but apparently the FT version I found conflicts with an Awesome Hack, and I can't have that. I can live without it, I suppose, but I'd rather not.

Umm... I guess these are my only major concerns at the moment. As you can see, I'm not exactly used to this whole going-through-everything-in-Downloads-and-making-sure-it's-all-up-to-date thing... I played with Pets as my latest expansion for practically eternity.
123  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: You could meet Pescado in a dark alley with a suitcase full of cash, or... on: 2008 August 07, 23:49:45
So prove them right! There are very few problems that cannot be solved by liberal application of Molotov's party drinks.
124  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Does nobabyharrassment not work on servos? on: 2008 August 07, 23:29:58
Do you have Paladin's servo chore controller thing? I vaguely remember hearing that that caused a problem like your own when used in conjunction with nobabyharassment.
125  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Why did my game spawn a new stray? on: 2008 August 07, 17:45:58
The game will generate any kind of premade sim, including, presumably, strays, if it feels that it needs one. That's my guess as to what happened. If that is what happened, now that it has one, it will just bring that one in until such a time when that one is adopted or dies. Besides, if nostrayregen had stopped working, you'd get a horrendous lag as the game tries to generate every single stray that it has just realised is missing, not a few seconds' lag and one cat.
