TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I'm going to admit it: I have no idea how to do this...

I believe the mesh is hidden somewhere inside one of the sims##.packages found at Program Files/EAGames/Sims2/TSData/Res/Sims3D.... However, I have no idea which one it is hidden in or even if it can have different colors assigned to it.
Plus, once you find it you'll have to make a package file for it, I think... But maybe not... As it's a mesh already in the game, you might just be able to assign the shape data to the recolor file. Would you like me to see if I can find it?
I believe the file you want is scattered among several package files under the name "AFhairFried" and carries the instance number 0xff5c60d0.
I'm currently looking for the texture file that goes with this mesh to check that it is infact the mesh you are looking for.
Well, Here's what I've found: there's a set of raw extracted files, and the textures... How to get these working as a hair, I couldn't tell you. If you want to try please do so. Bugger... it's too big, well if you want it drop me an email.

I'm sorry about the mix up in my linked post. The numbers used for face hair and head hair are reversed for Blond and Red. I must have put the info for the face hair down there. It's been corrected now. Again, I'm very sorry about the misinformation there.
Best thing to do is sort into correct color folders, load that folder and the meshes, delete what you find flaws with, and catagorize what you have left. But that's just my opnion...

In general, it seems that the net has been slow over the last few days. I've had problems with megaupload too (the 2nd versoin of Byrnne's sim was a royal pain to download). I usually wait and try at off peak hours (after 10pm).

You have a sink? I remember having this same problem... And I'm trying to remember why. It was something really stupid. Like needing a floor, or a sink. I just cannot remember at the moment what it was...

Totally up tp you, Oh Awesome One...
But looking at altering the liquid it seems that a clone is infact the only way to do it. I can (and have) cloned the elxir and managed to change the color, but I lose the original option in the process. The base however can be recolored...

I actually think it's a cool idea. I know (after looking it up) how to change the color of the liquid inside the thing. I just don't know if I added the second Material Defination to the package correctly. So the big thing is: How is this linked to the original item and is the original item color enabled?

I was wondering though, if someone could possibly make a recolour of it and turn the green liquid to clear, so as to more simulate a bottled water setup, then I can place it in the kitchen.
Any takers?
I took a look at this item. The hack references the model in the game. I cannot create a recolor package for it alone because it has no Material Defination files to alter. I made a recolor of the aspiration reward instead but this item comes up as "non-designable" I will test to see if my recolor works at all as SimPE only pulls the reference to the outside of the object, not the liquid. *sigh*...
