26  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Do not Work Out at the Gym, it gimps your Athletics Skill gaining. on: 2009 July 21, 09:49:37
Does this mean that the gym environment only handicaps Sims with the athletic trait, because instead of stacking, the lesser boost overrides the greater one?

Hopeless Romantics will also autonomously flirt and interact romantically, sometimes with total strangers. Good Sense of Humor is my favorite trait for efficient and amusing relationship-building.

Exactly as in Evelyn's screenshot, actually. I'm guessing it's a ghost resurrection gone horribly wrong. Eventually, I did manage to use resetSim on them all. I hope it doesn't recur.
29  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Smelly Undead Traffic Jam Outside Science Facility on: 2009 July 19, 10:39:45
A ghost and several mundanes have been glued in place outside the science facility in one of my Riverviews, for game-days on end. Applying resetSim has had no effect. Context menu provides "introduction" options that are never executed. They smell, and my active gets a bad moodlet when leaving work because of it. It is also delaying another active's Grand Master status, since several ranked chess players are stuck there.

Anyone encounter anything like this? Any viable solutions? Should I bite the bullet and delete them, or should I just ignore them?

I thought it was weird  Tongue

Really?  Shocked

1 word: EAxis...

You mean the game's buggy because half the staff were late to work, getting a deep-tissue massage instead of doing QA?

You don't need to pass arguments to the program to do anything in TS3. Just go to Options and set Windowed mode.

...Oh. It didn't occur to me that they would incorporate a convenient way to use a useful feature.

How can I force 3booter to pass arguments to the game .exe? I specified windowed mode, but it opens at full screen. When I run a shortcut directly from the game .exe I use the -w argument.

Anyone try using Loner as a legacy trait? Should be interesting.

Destroy all humans command makes the neighborhood pristine. I tried it last week and it worked admirably. For some reason, though, all young adult townies moved into the 'hood by story progression seem to get hitches the very same day, leaving no singles for my one controllable to stalk romance and marry. I may end up breaking up an existing relationship, but for future reference, is there a similar command thank nukes all extraneous crumples/graabs/etc. but leaves the anonymous townie population intact?
35  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Brokeback/Fresh Mountain -- Plenty of new YA Genes to pollinate! on: 2009 July 10, 09:08:44
My Fresh Mountain shows a saved game with a blue icon, but does not allow me to select an active household, enter the neighborhood, edit the neighborhood, create a sim for the neighborhood etc. It's completely blued out, I can select it but cannot perform any actions. Either my game is broken or I downloaded something into the wrong folder.
36  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Greater LTW Variety & Sanity on: 2009 June 24, 19:17:03
Since adding this hack, not long after installing Uni, I have never cycled a Uni career LTW, even when I specifically coordinated the relevant personality and/or interests and used the Lot Debugger. I followed the instructions in the LTW list. Do I have the wrong version? Am I missing a supplementary hack that unlocks Uni related careers in teens and young adults?
37  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / How to recategorize clothing: top/bottom/full outfit on: 2009 March 27, 14:34:31
A query:

Does anyone know how to recategorize custom clothing in the top/bottom/full outfit category? I have some downloaded clothing that appears all right on the Sims themselves, but is borked in the CAS clothing display. I checked the packages in the Wardrobe Wrangler, and they're the only ones that aren't categorized as such. This is a read only field in WW, so if I change it it has to be through the advanced tab, unless there's a different tool that does it more easily. I don't have SimPE, but I will dowload it if I need it.

I was hoping that someone knows which of the attributes needs to be changed, and what the values are. Otherwise, I go through everything by trial and error, which could take a while.
38  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: Pinstar's new Apocalypse challenge on: 2009 January 09, 12:53:02
There are no formal rules for FreeTime, as far as I know. I'd put it under Paranormal, as I believe Luxshine (for example) has done.
39  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Bad gosub tree number in OFB on: 2009 January 01, 17:52:17
I have Deluxe + Uni, and recently installed OFB. When updating all my hacks, I initially just overrode the ones that had a newer timestamp. When I play-tested with the updated hacks, I got jump bugs and some weird interactions with teenage townies. I tried overriding all my hacks directly from the ffs/ofb/hacks/ directory. It didn't work. I removed my global mods folder and play-tested in debug, for an hour or so, and got no errors.

Attached is the error log I got when I debugged with the hacks folder in. The jump bug happened when I sent an adult Sim to eat served food.
40  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Hack Descriptions on: 2008 November 17, 07:12:05
Does nodeanspam still exist? I searched the uni and nl folders, and it doesn't appear to be there. I don't think there's anything in my game that makes me redundant, and since I batch-play semesters and years in uni, I have quite the accumulation.
41  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Sims Freeze During Fires on: 2008 May 10, 18:44:23
I'm uploading the object error file, but I also have the app error file. I just can't upload them both at once because their combined size is over the limit.

The object I used to set the fire was the Maxis default cheapest grill.

42  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Sims Freeze During Fires on: 2008 May 09, 11:56:08
I have a recurring and annoying bug in my game, and after asking around, I was recommended to come here, since most of the hacks in my game are MATY-ware. Whenever my lots catch on fire, all the Sims freeze in their current actions, usually fire-panic mode. Time continues to pass, the firefighter arrives, but /she, too, is stuck and doesn't do anything. I'm running Base + Nightlife on a laptop with Vista (ugh), and have had this problem since I installed Nightlife, but never before.

Specs (I am not certain what of this is relevant, but I figure I'll save time and dump it all regardless):

Processor: Intel Pentium Dual CPU T2310 @ 1.46 GHz 1.47 GHz
RAM: 2550 MB
Display adapters: Mobile Intel 965 Express

Hacks/mods:

MATY: biotechfix, breakupfix, coffeecuphack, firemod, frontdoorhack, nl-anticrash, noaplusspam, noplagiarism.
Non-awesome: Smonaff jealousy hack, Jenflower homework hack, both from MTS2.

I tested the bug on an almost-empty lot with a CAS adult and saved the logs in a zip file, which I can upload if it would be helpful. With testingCheatsEnabled on it is possible to reset the error and the Sim in question will put out the fire and go on with his life.
