I *thought* that somewhere in this or a related thread that it was said that the 2 LS careers were taken into account with this mod. Am I imagining things again?

Yes, you are correct.  You are not imagining things... well, at least this time. Wink

If so, then are these potential conflicts harmful or just address the same thing? Or should I just remove the 2 LS careers to use this mod?

These conflicts are intentional, so my hack needs to load last.  However, you must keep the LS careers in your game if you want them to actually show up.

The Init BHAVs, as far as I can tell, are not really used.  I've toyed around with changing these and I can't tell if they actually affect anything.  It appears as if they might have originally been used to associate certain careers with certain aspirations.  From what I've seen in Maxis code, it isn't always consistent with which career LTWs are actually associated with the corresponding aspirations.  As example, I've seen some of the Inits have the "Grow Up" aspiration included, which doesn't make sense since any sim that has that aspiration shouldn't even have an LTW. Tongue

The BCONs, on the other hand, are essential, because they define whether the career requires an education or not, and which majors might afford you a career boost (theoretically) when using the computer to search for a job (at least, that's how I vaguely recall it works.  That's why you can start off at higher levels in a career track, whereas, if you use the newspaper, you should always start off at the 1st level - but that could be something that Pescado's hack enforces...).

The unicareershack will only affect the Seasons and LS careers if and only if you actually have them installed (meaning you have Seasons or you have the LS careers mods).  If you don't have either, the hack will still be compatible with your game configuration.  Basically, the code is there in the hack to override the Maxis EA defaults if they are present.  If they are not present, then there's nothing to override and they are functionless (nothing bad happens by just having them in there).

I want this mod badly, but am a little unclear on a few things thanks to the sheer volume of RTFM:

- there is a version that covers the Seasons careers now, correct?

Yes.  The 0.00.19 version in the third post of this thread is compatible with Seasons.

- but there isn't a version (yet) that doesn't have any specific-major requirements at all, correct?

I'm not sure what you mean... you are asking for a version that doesn't have specific major requirements?  So... you want a version where all careers that require an education are open to any major?  If that is the case, I have no plans to make such a version.  The wussy documentation should provide you enough information to custom tailor the hack as per your request.  Basically, you would change the second line (0x01) in each BCON to 0x7FF.

Also, how beta is beta when it comes to this hack? Is it in the 'probably ready to be used but feedback is always appreciated' stage now, or still in the 'only run if you're up to doing some QA' stage?

I'd say it's in the 'probably ready to be used but feedback is always appreciated' stage.  As far as I can tell, nothing in the hack could potentially break your game, because mostly I am changing BCON values.  There aren't actually any real or direct changes any major game behaviours, especially since I removed the change to the career level boost thing.  I may go back and rethink that... but for now, I have no plans to put that back just yet.

Although there are BHAVs in the hack... as I mentioned above in response to magicmoon, I believe these BHAVs most likely don't really do anything.  They are needed to initialize the career, but the semi attributes that they supposedly set don't seem to actually do anything (that I've noticed so far).  If you do notice something that actually depends on these values, I'd like to know about it. *shrugs*  That might be the only uncertain thing about the hack.  The changes I made were just things that I thought were more logical, basically making so that the init follows whatever aspirations the career LTW shows up for.

The only QA/feedback that I'm worried about is whether you sim has any problems with careers showing up (or not showing up) when they are supposed to (or not).  Meaning... according to the settings of the hack (as described in the documentation... which will differ if you choose to customize things) if your sim fulfills the criteria for a career track, but has problems with that career not showing up.  I've had time to finally toy around with this, and thus far, it seems to work fine for me.

As an example, the Paranormal career no longer requires a uni education.  It always shows up for my sims who don't have a uni education.  In the current household that I am testing, I have two graduates (one in Math and one in Politics).  The Business career shows up for both, as it now requires an education, but will show up for any major.  However, Law Enforcement now requires an education and it must be an associated major, so it only shows up for the sim who majored in Politics.  In the same vein, Medicine and Science will only show up for my sim who majored in Math.

I have a 3rd sim in this household, Gieke who came with OFB.  Since he is an adult with no uni education, his options are very limited.  Thus far, the only "problem" I have are days when he has searched for a career with the newspaper, and he was unqualified for all of them, so he isn't offered any jobs at all.  It appears like he looks through the newspaper, but since the game loops through all 3 careers and he is unqualified, he just closes the paper right away.  I am considering possibly adding a notice that at least informs you that your sim isn't qualified for any of the jobs, so you know that an attempt was made.  When I did this, I switched to another sim, just thinking that the dialog would eventually pop up, but it never did.  It isn't necessarily a "bug" per se, just a consequence of the hack.

Right, guest YAs, not dormies. I also played with the bookcase in the hacked rewards collection, thinking that it won't be visitor enabled but apparently it doesn't apply to YAs. Sad

This is really strange, because I checked the code... and the code should check to see if the sim even has a college key to the current lot.  Is this occurring on dorm lots?  Because visiting sims (who wouldn't have a dorm key) shouldn't be allowed to even start doing research.  The same check is used for joining research as well. Undecided

It might be that the bookcase you are using has it's own test bhavs that are completely separate.  Which bookcases are you using?  Are they custom bookcases?  If it is a different set of bookcases, I'll have to locate that object and take a look if it has it's own test BHAVs.

Ahh.  Ok, so it's guest YAs, not dormies?  That might be the problem.  Since I specify it for sims who have a dorm key on the current lot.  I will take a look at this again later when I get home. Smiley

For the icons... I nominate SaraMK for attempting to extract them from LS (if they exist).  Otherwise, i nominate someone who has the skills of an artist, like or very own resident, themaltesebippy. Cheesy

It would be great if someone who has (or acquired) LS could test it out and attempt to fill those LTWs and see if a memory is generated.

Incidentally... The Sims Pet Stories should have been released by now.  Anyone know if it is acquireable and/or if there are any new objects and/or careers that are worth extracting?

Ste

It would be neat if a generic check could be added for each Career related LTW, for sims who are adults, to see if they:

1) graduated and
2) have a major that matches the career, if it is required, as defined by the BCONs.

Of course, this might be a pain, since you'd have to be able to identify the career (maybe hard coding it as a param passing it to the generic BHAV), and finagle it so you could "read" the career BCONs.  I'm also not sure if, sims who have graduated from Uni, still have their sim data set as whatever major they finished with, or if that gets erased/reset.

I was also wondering... since it is possible to create custom memories... would there be a way to create LTW career related custom memories for the LS careers?  I mean, one could theoretically clone another LTW memory and just change all the appropriate text.  But I don't know if this requires some more hax0ring to actually get the memory "plugged in" so they work with the rest of the code.  I vaguely recall it being an indecipherable hot mess when I helped fix the Artist (I think it was) career with Squinge's hack.  As per usual, I didn't take any notes Tongue so I wouldn't even remember how things hook up together.  I just remember that there were certain files where you had to set the GUIDs properly here and there, and they weren't just normal BHAV resources.  It took me a crazy ass long time to figure it out, but I think it was just a case of a typo, where a B was there instead of an 8 (or vice-versa).  Anyhew... I was just wondering if it were at all possible to add custom memories?

Re: Less Autonomous College Research (or No Party Research) Hack
<snip>

Is this for sims who start researching during a party already in progress?  Or have these sims started researching before the party started?

I haven't looked at this in awhiles, but maybe when I have time.  I did kind of slap it together.  In my game at least, I noticed that dormies seem to study less on their own.  *shrugs*  Some may autonomously join, but most of the time, I tend to have to ask them to join.  Then they don't stop until they have to pee or die of hunger. Tongue

ETA:

I just looked at the code... and it appears to be the same as code as the one for the college assignment hack.  Basically, if there is a party going, sims who are very serious (<300) OR very shy (<300) will still study.

Are the sims that are still doing research Both very playful And very outgoing?  A sim who is very playful will still do research if they are very shy, and vice versa, if a sim is very outgoing but very serious, they will also still do research.

[edit] Just thought, what if your sim didn't go to uni and gets one of the uni careers as the LTW? Can it happen, or do only the graduates get these new LTWs?

I would imagine that they do not require Uni.  Since Life Stories doesn't have Uni built in (at least, I don't think it does).  So those jobs should be available to non graduates.  Unless you are using my unicareershack, which I included the entertainment and gamedev careers, but require a specific education for gamedev.

As BambuLimey points out, if you are using my hack, you may run into dead end situations like these (having Career related LTWs that can't be fulfilled, in particular if you have CAS born sims).  But, that would happen even without my hack, if you are using this one, since your CAS sims could also get the uni careers, and thus still be at a dead end.  Unless Pescado added checks for that?  I dunno.  There were also issues with say Elder Family sims who would get wants to have X children or what not, and couldn't do it, naturally at least, since they are past the child bearing age.  But I think Pescado fixed that with LTWVariety now, so that shouldn't happen.

I think it would be possible to add checks in the BHAV for each career track that requires Uni to see if a sim has actually graduated.  I don't know if Pescado's LTWVariety hack already checks for this...

And of course, you could always use the Lot Debugger or the Renuyu Orb thingy to reroll the LTW.

Behaviour overrides. IIRC, with Syberspunk's hack in place you may prevent teens from joining a hottub with nude adults in it.

It is an override, but actually it's supposed to allow teens to join the hottub, even if there are nude adults.  I think the default Maxis EA behaviour prevents teens from joining if anyone is nude.

It's been awhile since I hacked that up, but it's should allow teens to join, but it also still checks if there are any children present.  If children are present, then sims shouldn't get naked (adults or teens).  I sorta used LizzLove's hack as a base, but then I changed things around a bit.  Since the lightning stuff was part of the hottub code, I packaged it all together.

The first two BHAVs listed (the age check and the dress for hot tub) are non critical changes.  I imagine InTeen pretty much does the same thing.  The latter three BHAVs are critical changes involved in dealing with weather and lightning, since I basically added checks to see if it's storming to prevent sims from entering and force them to exit (if they are "smart" enough).

Sweet!  Thanks for this!  I are gonna try it as soon as I get home.  What an awesome idea, taking the Careers AND LTWs from Sims Stories and hax0ring it into TS2.  I'm glad you thought of it! Wink

Do the two careers overwrite the Seasons careers of the same/similar name, or are these added on so that there are 2 types of entertainment and gamer careers?

If I understand your meaning, the two LS careers are separate and totally different than any of the new careers from Seasons.  I believe it is game dev vs. gamer, and Entertainment vs. Musician or whatever the other one is. Tongue

Ok, I redid all the versions last night.  I'm hoping I didn't bork things.  I did some test runs the previous night and then earlier last night, and I could not get the Go Steady want to roll up.  So, I went back into the WantTrees package and looked at the files.  When I compared things, it looked as if my changes didn't stick. Shocked  WTF?

So... apparently, it is not sufficient to just change the .xml file and then try to overwrite the old ones by using the replace option in SimPE. Roll Eyes  Of course that would be too obvious.  It has been a long whiles since I had first done it, and I forgot that I actually had to tediously and painstakingly copy and paste the xml code from my editor into SimPE for each tree that I wanted to change.  Only then did it work properly.

Anyhew... after updating all of the versions (from NL to Seasons and Celebrations!/H&M@ Fashion Stuff), I went back into my game to do another test run.  Using the same couple I mentioned above, I was still unable to get the Go Steady wants to roll up. Undecided  Again, I also noticed that the get engaged want was no longer rolling up either... but this may have to do with the fact that I had recently bought a car.  Because now... instead of the get engaged rolling up after several romantic interactions, my sims kept getting woohoo wants and woohoo in car wants.

If you are going to test this out, I would recommend trying it with several types of sims of varying Aspiration.  By the look of things, if I understood them correctly Tongue, the Go Steady want seems to be heavily weighted for Family sims.  So... in the very least, I would hope they show up for them.  In fact, I think the only time I ever really saw the want to go steady roll up was with a Family teen (I don't have many family sims, of my design at least).  And I also only saw a Go Steady fear on a romance sim.  But it has been a long time since I've played any teens, as lately, I am concentrating on Uni sims and Uni graduated adults.  The only other time I actually ever saw the Go Steady want was with Meadow Thayer, as shown in the pic to demonstrate the teenenabledadultwants hack, where I actually enabled the want to show up for teens who have adult partners.

I am just hoping that it is sadorandomness and that I didn't bork anything with engagements.  So please, if you're using this, give me feedback.  Let me know if you find that engagement wants aren't rolling up for you at all.  I can easily revert back to just the woohoo wants (well not so easily, I'd have to do all the cutting and pasting again, cuz I hadn't done that properly the first time around Tongue) if it seems like engagements are borked and go steady wants don't roll up at all.

Hopefully I can find some time to test this out on some family sims (if I can even remember that I have any).  One of the trees I modded should be triggered by falling in love.  So it might help to test this out on sims who aren't in love yet.  Another tree that I modded should be triggered by going on a date.  This is what I used to test it out, but so far, no luck with my two Knowledge sims.  (Now that I'm thinking about it, I don't even remember if Go Steady is even enabled for Knowledge sims.  Wouldn't it be funny if that was the reason all along? Cheesy)

Can we have fuck buddies as well?  Tongue

I second that Grin

lol.  I'd be all for it, naturally. Wink  But meh, I'd be too lazy to try and build on top of some code, or figure out how to change the text from 'Go Steady' to 'Fuck Buddy' or what not.  I mean, having a Romance Sim with multiple "lovers" is essentially having multiple fuck buddies, and with ACR, your sims will actually do the whole Booty Call thing.

Anyhew,  I slapped something together last night and I tried testing it out... but so far, no dice.  I'm wondering if it might be mostly isolated to Family Sims...

Right now, I only made a version for Celebrations! (and H&M@ Fashion) Stuff, just cause that's what's the most recent SP/EP I got installed.  Maybe what I'll do is, throw together a Seasons version, and have the Seasons and Celebrations stuff up for testing.  If anyone would want to try it, and take some in-game screenies of it actually working, that'd be great.  So far, I only tried it on two Knowledge sims.  I kinda just wedged the Go Steady want into the WantTree, so I don't know if I did it correctly. Tongue

The only thing I did notice was, my Knowledge sim was previously getting wants to get engaged to his lover, however now, he isn't even getting those.  So, I'm not sure if I borked something... or if it's just sadorandom luck.  They are currently not in any form of commitment - I was hoping to see the Go Steady want roll up, and then try to use my hack to make them actually Go Steady and see if it works properly.  They are both Knowledge sims, and one is a graduated Adult and the other is still a YA at Uni, and they are both playable.

I'm curious.  Are there LTW's in Sim Stories... and if so, are there LTWs specific to the two careers that came from Sim Stories (Game Dev and Entertainment, right?) and if so... would it be possible to hax0r those into the uni ltw careers hack as well?

Too bad there aren't mutual break up (for "good" or neutral memories whereas regular break up causes bad memories) and divorces due to irreconcilable differences or annulments that didn't necessarily result in bad memories.  And, it would be great if sims who hated each other got good memories for breaking up or divorcing. Whereas, sims who were still in love would get the bad memories. Tongue

I'm glad they're working for you.

I managed to update them from scratch.  I consulted twojeffs, who made the original version for NL waaaaaaaaaayyyy back when he was on MTS2 still (can you believe it's been like over 2 years now?!?!?).  And he pointed out that I missed some changes in the trees.  This is probably why some wants weren't showing up properly or at all.  Sooo... I went back and redid them from scratch.  Since, for the most part, the majority of the Woohoo want trees haven't changed from NL up through Seasons (including Celebrations! Stuff and H&M@ Fashion Stuff), I used Seasons as the base (extracted the wants from there), modified them from scratch, making sure (hopefully completely) this time around that I changed the right nodes, set the right values, and propagated the changes up through the parent nodes to make sure the wants are fully enabled.

Furthermore, I started preliminary work on adding the Go Steady want for adults and elders.  In the very least, teens can roll up 'Go Steady' wants for their adult (and elder... ewwww... but you know, in case you're playing some kind of freakish teen-octagenarian scenario... good luck trying to find a hack to enable woohoo between them tho Tongue) partners.  Right now, it doesn't seem like it will work the other way around.  But the plan is to enable the 'Go Steady' want so that adults could actually roll up the wants for their adult partners.

I know 'Go Steady' is a bit lame, but it would serve as alternative for couples that you don't plan to engage or marry, but still have some semblance of a 'committed relationship' somehow.  Of course you'd need a hack that enables 'Going Steady' for adults and older (either my hack that borrows the code from the Kitten Killer Wink or the infamous Kitten Killer itself Wink).  Anyhew, I may try and find some time this week to add that in, if my OCD doesn't drive me to do it tonight. 1) You can unbalance them as much as you want.  I quoted "balance" because it's really arbitrary.  I decided to "balance" it for "general audiences" so people who don't want to bother with SimPE because they're unsure about using it or they're just too wussy Wink

I have like two other threads about this hack floating around, and it was brought up that, due to the way I initially hacked the careers and majors, which was somewhat more realistic, it basically rendered some majors "useless" in the sense that there was almost no point to have a sim declare that major.  For  example (and I'm kinda pullin this out of my arse cuz I can't remember the exact scenario), Biology was associated with several careers, and even used to open up tracks like Medicine, which was made to require a major.  Physics was isolated to only a few careers, many of which were already covered by Biology.  Biology ended up "unlocking" more career paths, so basically it seemed pointless to have a sim major in Physics.  Thus, the reason for me trying "balance" things so that no one major necessarily had more of an advantage than others.  So in the very least, people who won't try to customize the hack will be able to have a somewhat "balanced" choice.

If you choose to create an "unbalanced" sitatuion between careers and majors, of course, you as the player, can choose to have a sim declare any major, regardless of the unbalancing.  Nothing "bad" should happen.  Just realize that, if you make many of the careers require an education, and strictly specific majors, you may end up with potential situations where only a couple of careers tracks might be offered to your sim.  There may be even days where the game rolls up all 5 careers that might be locked to your sim because of the changes you made.

2) You can probably customize custom careers in the same manner.  You would have to open the custom career in SimPE.  Then look for the Tuning BCON.  Just like the instructions in my documentation, just click on the BCON in Resource Tree window to isolate all the BCONs.  Aside from the extracted careers from Life Stories, I do not have any custom careers, but I assume that careers are created in some standard way.  So, once you have isolated the BCONs, you can use the filter option in SimPE.  Use 0x1056 as the value for the Instance: and click the set link.  Then you can use Plugin View and edit the values in the same way.  Theoretically, it should work.  But, as always, you should backup your game data and keep copies of the original hacks before you edit them.

ETA:

A problem...

In the calculator, if I try to change anything in the 0/1 columns, to get a new hex value, it gives me an error.  It says "#NAME?".  It won't let me change anything.

Note: when possible, please use edit rather than double posting.

Hrm... that is really weird.  Which columns are you trying to change?  You should be able to change the columns C-M.  However, only the rows 2-11, 14-17, 20, 21, and 24-29.  ALl the other rows are totals.  You cannot change row O or P.  If you do, you'll bork the calculator.  I'm gonna try to download the .zip file myself to see if something got screwed up.  I'm working with the original on my compy and it seems to be fine for me... the only valid values are 0 and 1.  If you turn "on" all the bits, the Hex value should be 7FF.  And obviously, if you turn them all "off" it should be 0.

You don't really need the Excel calculator.  You can use the windows calculator to do this.  I just thought it would be easier if I included a somewhat simple "tool" and explained how to do it, rather than go into details about how to convert bin to hex and what it all means.  Basically, the bin value should be a "string" of 11 "bits" (0's and 1's), where each bit represent each major, with 1 meaning it is turned "on" and 0 is turned "off" for that career.  You take that bin value and convert it to the hex value, by whatever means you have (the Excel calculator, the calculator program that comes with Windows, a real actual calculator, whatever Tongue) and use that value.

ETA2:

Ok, I just downloaded the .zip myself and opened up the Excel spreadsheet.  It still works for me.  Undecided  I would suggest redownloading it and trying it again.  If you are still having problems, you might have to enable macros in Excel or something.  Although... I just assumed that Excel should be able to interpret formulas by default.  The other thing I would check is if you have some old version of Excel.  I have 2003, but 2000 should still work... and, I don't think I'm using anything new.  I would have figured the functions I used in the formula are kinda standard.  Unless the bin to hex converting function is new?

ETA3::

One thing I probably need to add eventually is maybe a message that at least tells you that there are no jobs available that your sim is qualified.  One "problem" I have run into is, sims who are unedumacated will sometimes have no choices, especially using the newspaper, and the sim just opens the paper and closes it right away.  This isn't a "bug" per se, rather it is most likely because they are not qualified for any of the jobs offered that day.

Oooh... that would be a great idea.  Probably something Pescado could to pretty easily.  I think he did this for some other memory before.  I forget which one it was.  I think there are a couple of memories that are like this as well.  Even though they might fulfill fears, it still shows up as a "good" memory, no?

I would've uploaded it last night, but I was having problems trying to upload a 3MB zipped Word document.  So... Fairlight the Bitch... or was it Fagor?  I can't remember.  They're pretty interchangeable. Wink suggested I make it an html file and just link the pics (which were the reason why the Word doc was so large).  Brilliant idea!  Glad I thought of it. Cheesy

Unfortunately, I couldn't imgred the pics... so, since they're currently hosted on my photobucket, there may be a slight chance that they'll be disabled if the bandwidth gets eaten up (unless photobucket changed their policy and/or increased the quota limit).

Hopefully the instructions are fairly easy to understand.  The docs consist of an HTML file and an Excel spreadsheet.  The Excel spreadsheet actually serves a dual purpose:

1) it documents the existing "state" so to speak in how the hack has changed the majors associated with each career.  It also tells you whether education is required, and whether or not they have to be the specific majors associated with each career.

2) it acts as a "calculator" to generate the values you should use if you want to customize the hack.

As mentioned in the documentation, I "balanced" the hack so each career has 4 majors associated with it, and each major can apply to 8 careers.  Please note, this is under the assumption that you have the Seasons EP and the Life Stories careers (which is what my current set up includes).  Even if the associations don't quite make sense, I did my best to try and "balance" them so that no career or major necessarily is heavily favored over the others, since this was brought up as a point of concern.

As always, feedback is appreciated.  The only caveat, now at least, being that you can't complain to me about associated majors and careers not making sense.  You now have the power to change it however you see fit. Tongue

I probably won't make any major changes until new careers become available, either in the next EP or extracted from Life Stories.

I love this hack!  Anything to make my sims lives a little harder Smiley

Yay!  Glad you like it. Smiley

Are you still looking for testing info on this?

Yes.  Always.  Feedback and constructive criticism is (almost Wink) always welcome.

Day 1:
born in game, went to uni, math major was offered 3 jobs: writer (custom), social work (custom), and science - no more.
spawned from TL&D, no uni was offered 2 jobs: writer (custom), and social work (custom) - no more.
CAS, no uni, upgraded to biology major with debugger was offered 4 jobs: writing (custom), science, law enforcement, social work (custom) - no more

Law enforcement should availale to everyone?  My math major and my non-uni sim were not offered it.  And no one was offered 5 jobs, not even the biology major.

Hrm... well... I actually changed things since the last time I posted, to make things somewhat more (but kinda arbitrarily) balanced.  I actually haven't had any sims get jobs yet... although I have had a slew of recent grads (I have about 6 grads that I've either moved into households or they are waiting to be moved in from the Sim Bin).  I've still been playing in Uni, so I actually haven't had a chance to test things out more since the last update.

From what I can vaguely remember about the code... I think each day kind of "rolls" up what 5 jobs are available for that day/household.  As Hegelian says, those jobs will pretty much be the only jobs available for that day.  I think the 'cycle' for when the jobs change is at 6:00pm.

Then... the only jobs that will be "offered" are the ones that a sim may be "qualified for" based on the Uni related bits.  If a career is set to not require a uni degree, then it should always be available.  If a career requires a uni degree, it should be available only to uni grads (I assume the lot debugger sets all appropriate flags/sim data).  If a career requires a specific uni degree, then only uni grads with the qualifying degree should be offered that career track.

<snip>
My math major should have been offered natural science?

<snip>
My math major should not have been offered medicine?

Again, I changed things a little in the last update, which I posted without documentation.  So I'll have to dig through the code again to remember what I did. Tongue

Hope this helps.  Let me know if you want me to test anything else.

This definitely helps.  This is probably exactly the kind of info to help me figure out whether the hack is actually working properly.  Again, I'll have to check the code to see if the above info fits.  I assume you are using the latest version?  Only v0.00.19 has the seasons related stuff.  If you're using the older version, they will still work, technically, but the seasons careers won't be affected.

And are you still working on the documentation for customizing?  I would definitely be interested in making some of my custom careers require degrees.

Still working... yes.  I started it up again last week, but then I've been playing more instead. Tongue  I suppose I could go back to working instead of playing *sniffs* if I must.  Well... eventually I'll get around to finishing it up.  Maybe sooner than later if I let the guilt get to me. lol. Cheesy

* syberspunk Ooooooooers...

Does this mean a "Clean" template won't be too far behind?  I've been putting off adding Riverblossoms to my 'hood, but it would be great to have a clean template.  The other 'hoods have been working fine so far.  I've even seen those other playables wanderin around on comm lots.  My 'hood is probably going 800+ sims strong (townies and playables) and so far no 'splodie (*knocks on wood*).

I'm havin fun playin around, and even if the hood goes down in flames, I won't mind restarting so much thanks to your clean templates.  If I weren't so lazy, I'd even consider doin a custom hood, but I'm lazy and don't want to have to go buildin, furnishing, and arranging houses from scratch. Tongue

I think I'll just play my 'hood til it burns to the ground in a blazing glory of zombie apocalypse! Cheesy

I did a hack scan and I found these changes.  The striked out ones seem to already be accounted for.

Uh... where's the error log?
* syberspunk uses X-ray vision to no avail. Tongue

* syberspunk uses his other powers to travel back in time to remove his previous response and now reply after the error log was added. Wink

Interesting error.  One that I've not seen before.  It looks like Lillie was tryin got help/sell something to Laurence.  Either you have some hack related to attraction stuff (like the romancemod) or possibly related to business stuff (something that modifies the May I Help You/Sell interaction?) and something is non-awesome or hasn't been properly updated... Or something might be strange with the sim data for Lillie or Laurence.  Is Laurence an NPC?  It could be that his sim data is not itialized properly or something...

Anyhew, that's my pseudo educated guess. Tongue
