There are also new build mode additions.  There is an architecture button now in build mode that lists all of the decorative architecture items.  It includes the venting and piping and roofing items from Free Time as well.

Also under the roofing there is an new tool to set the angle of roofs so the individualroofslopeangle cheat is no longer necessary.  It can be done with a simple slider to set the number of the angle and then click on the roof you want to change.

77  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Look out!!! M&G runs from its own disk, not latest EP. on: 2008 November 19, 02:18:51
I think I figured it out.  Grin

I would be happy to send packages if someone would give a brief how to explaination.

Or is it just uploading the c/eagames/M&P/Tsdata/ ect. objects and objectscript package?
79  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Look out!!! M&G runs from its own disk, not latest EP. on: 2008 November 19, 00:56:16
This is what I've found so far.

The ceiling fans spin.  There are two speed options. After you turn it on, then the menu changes to an option to "increase speed" or some such. If you choose that then the menu changes to "reduce speed" or some such wording.  You can see a slight change of speed rotation.

There is also a new menu option added to all flowers.  Your sims now have an option to "smell" the flowers.  They get down and sniff them.  It seems to increase fun, however i did not notice the nature hobby symbol so I'm not sure if the
sim gets a nature enthusiasm boost or not.

There is also a windmill and solar panels that according to the SP's manual "lower your Sims bills" and "save Simolions" but I have not yet tested that to see if it's true or just L&P.

Not enough new plants IMO wanted MOAR.  Tons of new walls, no new floors.   The new hair styles are OK. They are almost all Child through Elder with a couple exceptions. New terrain paints to give your yards a freshly mowed look.

My big disapointment was the staircase. It is only one huge double staircase with a larger than normal foot print.  Very limited use for me.  I was really hoping it would be two so you could only use half of it for smaller houses.

Will update if I find anything else of interest.

82  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: AL Reduced Autonomous Mods on: 2008 September 28, 15:25:29
This is good.  I'm looking forward to the MP3 one as well. I refuse to allow my sims to own MP3's or handhelds for this very reason.
83  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Missing - Coming up Roses Loveseat by OakTowne on: 2008 September 23, 00:22:17
Darn.   Well Thanks for the reply.  I guess once I figure out which loveseat eated it, If I still wanted to keep it I would need to use Sim Pe to assign it it's very own GUID?
Off to pull my sofa/chair/bed file from my dl folder.

Edit - Found the problem loveseat.  Checked the original MTS2 thread I got it from and the creator already posted a fixed file!
84  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Missing - Coming up Roses Loveseat by OakTowne on: 2008 September 22, 21:55:11
I seem to be missing the Maxis loveseat Comming up Roses by Oaktowne.  That floraly cheap old fashioned one.  I have the sofa and chair but no loveseat anymore.   Is this a glitch with AL?  I'm pretty sure I had it before I installed AL.
Perhaps a conflict with the CEP? Or some other CC?  I"m just wondering if anyone else is missing it before I spend too much time going through my DL folder looking for bad CC.

Thanks!
85  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Shiftable signs, paintings and photos (AL) on: 2008 September 07, 23:52:20
I was wondering how long it would be before people started producing mods for the wall stuff Maxis missed.   Grin
These are great.   Would you consider or is it even possible to do this with the mirrors?  I was so looking forward to
be able to move the mirrors and for whatever reason they cannot be moved like paintings can.

Thanks knightguy!

you have change the gender in property sets to 3  (1 female, 2 male, 3 both)
[/quote]

Seriously is that it? The property sets of the recolors correct? Would that work for any hair?  Would it work for the afhairlongwavy.package if I wanted that to appear for males?
Would it work on a custom hair that has a separate mesh file?

I'm still learning all this stuff.   Smiley
Edit - and apparently I also Phail at using quotes.
Edit Edit - Ok I already tried it and see that it doesn't work for adult hairs - their are gaps in the "male" version of the hair when I tried to enable the female wavy hair and the short cut for both sexes.   Perhaps it only works with toddlers and children i'm guessing because their heads are the same size?
87  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff on: 2008 September 04, 13:19:40
OK here is the Female Child Zombie hair

cfhairzombie.package

Here is the Zombie Toddler hair. It appears EAxis has already enabled this for both male and female already. Shocker.

puhairzombie.package

I didn't bother to compress them (more like forgot  Grin) so all you need to do is put them in your downloads folder.

I would have enabled the cfhairzombie for males, but I don't know how, sorry.
88  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff on: 2008 September 03, 02:44:20
Yes you can just put them in your downloads folder.  You don't need to unzip them or anything.

Enabling the elder version is currently beyond me.  Perhaps with a bit of time I could figure out how to do it.  There was the same issue with the previous Store hairs as well and I know someone enabled the elders on them.
89  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff on: 2008 September 03, 00:27:18
Ok - I have some of the new hairs - the male dreadlock style, the new short male messy style and the new short female messy style - all adult.

Will update with the files as soon as I confirm they work.

Update - Ok so apparently I need to DL 300MB of the sims store edition on my PC which looks like it's gonna take a while.  I already have suckurom so *shrug* -  I already bought the hair, unfortunatly it will be a bit longer than I anticipated before I will be able to post them.

OK here they are

Afhairzombie (short ladies cut)

Thanks!

I've never DL'ed an edited version of that file.  I'm really glad i asked.

*runs off to restore the couple I did delete from the Recycle Bin*

Dutifuly mashes the Baaaa button.  Wink

Just to clarify, I'm finding the file HolidayNewYearsPartyPhoneCall_Override.package in every SP and EP's  TSData\Res\Overrides folder.   Do we need to go through and delete every single one? Or just a certain one?
Remember I'm the slow one.   Grin
92  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff on: 2008 July 23, 15:37:46
I have taken all the fixed, elder enabled hairs and decustomized them. Basically just removed the annoying star.

They will show up between FreeTime and Bon Voyage if you have all EP's.  I did need to CTRL/right click on the elder thumbnails to get the pic to display correctly but the hairs work fine.
Note credit needs to go to HystericalParoxysm for the 5 head fix on the longwavy hair and Knightguy, Havelock and Roux for elder enabling.

I also updated the stats of the two Deco Beds to 8 Comfort/Energy on the Double, and 5/6 for the Single using Lord Darcy's resources from his "Higher Comfort and Enery for Maxis Beds" mod. Thanks Lord Darcy!

93  Darcyland / Lord Darcy Investigates / Re: FreeTime Desk with Extra Slots - Fixed version of TSR payshit on: 2008 July 10, 21:23:04
Yeah! Thanks!   I forgot that happened with the desk when I gave you that link Lord Darcy... I'm sorry.  I had deleted that file when it crashed to desktop the first time I tried to buy that item and forgot all about it.

Yeah I can't believe the creator still has that avaiable not fixed and you're supposed to pay for it.
94  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff on: 2008 July 03, 22:18:37
Is is possible to explain where I went wrong?
You forgot to fix Text List 0x90 (Model - Bones), which the game uses to find matching blocks in the CRES.

Quote
The most important values of any type are S2 and I9. If S2 is 0, it will take the XYZ offsets from F1,F2,F3; but it is generally not done this way. The way it should be done(and is in most cases) is to have S2 have a value of 2 which tells the Slot to get the offset from the Resource Node. When it is using the resource node, it uses the I9 value as an index to Text List 0x90, reads that string and finds the block in the resource node with that name, and uses its offsets.

I was using a resource from a mod that enabled slots on maxis dessers that originally didn't have them.
Can you give me link to that mod? I have a similar unfinished mod which enables deco slots on 1-tiled OFB small dressers (like FFS and Pets dressers) on my backburner.

Or is their a tutorial on this somewhere?
Not exactly a tutorial, but this article will be helpful.
Thanks!  The mod is from TSR by Anoeskab it is called  maxis morefunctional dresser addon and maxis morefunctional superset.  There are two.  I got it from the booty.   There is a seperate file for each Maxis dresser within the RARs.  I pulled the slot file from one of them.  I didn't realize you had to do anything other than just replace the slot file. I'll read the link you provided, see if I can learn something from that.  Thanks again!
95  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff on: 2008 July 03, 12:02:54
Now I'm trying to add slots to the Deco dresser so I can put pretty things on it,  but I am having problems.
I extracted the slot resource from a dresser of the same height that you can put things on and replaced it in the art deco dresser but it isn't working.   The item goes into the dresser instead of on top of it. Then I tried changing the BHAV init too but nothing changed.  Can someone help me with this?

I fixed the decorative slots on the top of Deco dresser, using the resources extracted from GLS low dresser. I based mine on the fixed version by Goggalor (thanks!). You may have to sell and rebuy Deco dresser for it to pick up the change.

It's great to see a lot of newbies and de-lurkers popping up to post their awesome contribution. ARRR matey!

Wow! Thanks Lord Darcy!  Is is possible to explain where I went wrong? I was using a resource from a mod that enabled slots on maxis dessers that originally didn't have them.  Or is their a tutorial on this somewhere?  I tried googling but phailed.  Sad
96  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff on: 2008 July 02, 23:09:00
OK I'm not sure if this is the right spot to put this but...

I've been updating some of these objects to make them the way I like.
I jacked the decobeds comfort/energy to 5/6 single and 8/8 double using Lord Darcy's (Thankyou!) modified resources from his bed mod I have, updating the book case, Stereo to FT ect. If there is interest in these I could post them.

I attached (I hope) the messed up version if anyone wants to look at it.  It didn't crash my game .. just doesn't work the way I want it too.

97  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Ikea on: 2008 June 25, 00:33:43
I installed from CD and haven't seen any issues other than the expected no FT options on the new items.  I'm hoping Lord Darcy will fix that soon.  I was hoping Eaxis would have learned, but I should have known better.

Also based on the outraged posts on the BBS forums it appears that you can not yet register the game with them to get your shiny icon for your Sim Page or your totally awesome game tip!

And the pages for the bonus items are comming back with 404 errors too.

Fun Times!
98  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Can I Nuke a family with Sim PE? Or is it best for them to DIAF? on: 2008 May 25, 16:04:24
Thanks!  It says though in the first picture not to use on any sims with relatives?  Huh  I'm starting to think it would be simpler to have a stove accident.  Maybe I'll resurect them  after just to have another stove accident.  Hmm.. I'm starting to picture a bunch of zombie Ottomas's.
99  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Can I Nuke a family with Sim PE? Or is it best for them to DIAF? on: 2008 May 25, 14:47:53
I'm done with the Ottomas family in Pleasantview.  I regret not deleting them from the family bin the second I saw them as I did in Desdereta sp? Valley.   Anyway I would prefer to somehow erase them as if they never existed but I know moving them out and deleting them from the family bin now that I've played them and they have relationships is a no-no.   I aged the mom to an elder and back before she had the borked twins to get rid of them  and Dora died, so there is the mom, dad, the two older children who are teens, and the youngest who is a child.

Is there a way I can nuke them with sim PE saftley now that I've played them so that it would be as if they never existed?  Or should I have them all DIAF?
