51  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I Want To Call Your Tiny Little Cell on: 2006 May 25, 20:40:26
If they have a cell phone then you can call them still after they have moved from a house.  If you created them in CAS and they are in the Sim bin, then obviously no.

The original poster was asking for help, and unless you are prepared to offer help and advice, why offer anything?

If you are responding to me, I did offer help.  Reply #7.
53  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Simlish fonts on: 2006 May 25, 19:03:08
Sims font free download

Edit: It's not used in game, it's the graphics font from the logo made into an alphabet.

It's too bad the OP's thread has to get overrun with RetardoLanders mocking gali.  Undecided

When it gets moved to RL what do you expect?  Huh  Grin

I'm more partial to piano, myself. I, in fact, do happen to play the piano. And own one, at that.

Who are you kidding? You know the only reason you have a piano is because certain keys open passages to tunnels and weaponry and other keys are tripped to blow up stuff.

56  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How do you make a user startup cheat file? on: 2006 May 24, 01:30:26
If you run another admin account on your computer with Sims 2 on it you can make it a global cheat file by placing it in:

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Family Fun Stuff\TSData\Res\Config  (substitute Family Fun Stuff for your latest EP folder)

RADEON X1600 Series 256 MB

I have fish.  Smiley
58  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Anyone know what causes flashing blue foundations? on: 2006 May 21, 13:59:59
Flashing blue is a sign that someone used custom items on the lot and either disabled them or deleted them prior to going into the lot again.  Her/his problem could still be graphics related but flashing blue has been very typical of that.

I vote for the dual core as well.
60  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: House Layout? on: 2006 May 12, 19:09:45
I do have standard for myself that I use for building.  Two tile width for hallways or any walk space including kitchens, minimal four tile wall for double beds in all rooms (even if you do not put one in the room, it's always good for potential growth), minimal two full bathrooms unless it's a starter home and lastly I always try to leave room on the lot for expansion.

For design purposes I usually do Blue's suggestion of having some items handy for placement like a bed, tub etc.  I utilize building cheats a lot for decor.  Nothing annoys me more than an off centered ceiling light.  Wink  Most importantly is if you are going to share your lots, always, always Sim test before uploading.

If you are looking for a variety of residential and commercial lots stop by TheSimposieum, there are a lot of building challenges like Tru's 1"x3" that produced some very creative end results, as well as mansions, starter homes, great commercial lots, floors, walls, painting recolors and other cool stuff.
61  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Stolen Cars? on: 2006 May 12, 17:52:18
I disable my CC a lot in order to upload clean lots.  Since OFB by doing so I have had custom cars on my lots disappear.

I haven't tested it enough to know if that one the thing that caused it, but that was what I attributed it to.

Late to the party but still worthy of comments.

I mean, I am a disgruntled customer as well, I am annoyed that something so huge as the lot sticking and vampire death bugs could possibly happen,  but the way some of you guys act about it is- dare I say it? RETARDO.

Being a disgruntled consumer and passively not voicing your complaint so that the manufacturer thinks that what they make is gold and therefore continues to produce a substandard product is more RETARDO to me.  Making blanketed comments involving a group of people who voice there opinions is RETARDO to me.

63  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Patch is out for FFS on: 2006 May 06, 02:23:59
My two cents specifically related to the FFS is I received it as an Easter gift.  I installed it after the patch came out but since have not played at all because I am terrified of the game stopping issues that I am hearing of.

The OFB bugs about did me in and they did stop me from playing for a while and slowly I started getting back in the game as the patch and other mods fixes came out.  But the disappointment in FFS from before it was ever released to now has been so disheartening that it has spoiled the game for me entirely now.  I just uninstalled it.

I also understand that the franchise is just that, a franchise.  But it won't remain a franchise without customer loyalty.

My folder is 568 MB.  I'm happy with the size it's at now.

It's not the size of the ship that matters, but the motion of the ocean.  Cheesy Or so I've been told.   Tongue
65  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Alright, 'fess up! on: 2006 April 09, 17:46:18
585 MB but I am due for a spring cleaning.  My biggest folders are my recolors as well, I break them into object recolors and paintings so it's not completely overwhelmingly huge.

69  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: help! reinstalling the whole game on: 2006 April 06, 17:05:36
Is your back up from the Neighborhoods folder located in My Documents/EA Games/Sims 2/Neighborhoods or did you grab the N001 folder from the Programs Files / EA Games location?

71  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Who's got some good names for Servos? on: 2006 March 27, 00:43:51
I give them all very offensive slave names since Maxis made servo a sambo-shit-eating-grin slave who won't even kill humans.
Mammy-bot, Uncle Tom-Bot, Sambo-Bot, etc.

You know.  I'm as shocked as you are that they haven't made a game just for you.  Roll Eyes
72  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: And the purpose of the cleanbot is??? on: 2006 March 17, 17:04:53
I kinda disliked the Hydro Bot too until it hosed off my Sim that caught himself on fire with the evil kite.
73  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: But I want to move house!! on: 2006 March 08, 15:39:09
What if you just move the occupants into the bin in order to move them to a bigger and better house? (I can understand if it is a home business why you would lose business related perks, but not a community business.) I would think the data should be attached to the Sim or the community lot, not the residential lot.

If that is the case it messes with the point of the game of "building your empire".
74  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Request: Talent Badge training progress bar .... Please? :) on: 2006 March 07, 02:18:46
What I'm saying is the Servos need not recharge outside at all.  Their energy raises in a bed, a sofa and as you said a coffin.  The whole recharge in the sunlight is not necessary unless it is a preference.
75  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Reporters not reporting? on: 2006 March 07, 02:11:36
I have played my home business lot to a full 10 stars and have yet to see the reporter.  I thought it had to do with it being a home business, then my son downloaded my house lot for the exact home and made abusiness on it.  Bingo! Reporter!

Oh well, at least he didn't have a sim spontaneuosly combust and have to have the Hydrobot put him out.
