You know, that pimply-adolescent theory could hold water. The 6-8 weeks may be the amount of time it takes to save up his allowance to buy the game. Silly Brynne. If money was really the issue, I'd just increase the subscription fees! That reminds me, I need to pay my renewal fees. Is the special still in effect? Wait a minute. Are you saying you didn't take the lifetime special (paid in advance)? Did you read the fine print on that? It's only good for a sim's lifetime, which is approximately 70 sim days (I think) or about 28 RL hours.

Buy one for the price of two, get a second absolutely free?? Yeah, I don't remember that one having any kind of expiration date. Hook PS. Hm. I remember suggesting that one to Pescado. Maybe that's why I'm a senator, as a kind of punishment. Could be. He's probably lost a lot of money because of that special.

I think you may well be right! And then, after they've finished with Sims2 (3D), and move on to Sims3 (Holograms) no doubt we'll still need him! so I hope if he reaches the age of final transition, he clones a younger edition of himself first! Yeah, that would be a good idea. Maybe he could create an android with his intelligence and his essence that wouldn't even need caffeine to stay away, he could work all the time and never sleep or eat and never die. How do you know he hasn't done so already? This JMP could be JMP #100 for all we know.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Piano Bug Fix

I PMed her about it but I doubt if she will do anything about it because she knew that JMP's pianofix didn't work with her piano a long time ago and didn't do anything about it. Anyway, I'm testing out a bhav transplant right now. So far it worked perfectly on the first day but on the second day nobody went near it (figures) so if none of them play it on their own on the third day I'm going to have to make one of them play it.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Piano Bug Fix

The piano bug fix doesn't work with custom pianos, just like the pianofix. After I installed the patch I went and got one of the grand pianos from MTS2 and just now one of my sims was playing it and her fun bar was going down instead of up.

I've had it in my userstartup.cheat file for a long time. It's a lifesaver if you're trying to load a lot with a bad object on it because you can delete the object and continue loading the lot. And being able to slide your sim's needs bars can be helpful sometimes.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: My Sims are addicted to the poker table, much like the kicky bag!!!!

I'm suprised everyone says the poker table is addictive. I placed one in one of my houses and no one went near it for three days so I assumed it was non-autonomous and got rid of it because I'm too lazy to be a control freak. As for skilling it may be the same as the bowling alley which doesn't show any skills in debug mode but my sims have used it so much that now they throw nothing but strikes. It's pretty annoying because thay do that celebration dance everytime.

Oh i have a bug, i have a bug. can anyone confirm it for me?
It's about wohooing in hot tubs with the cinematics turned on.
in order to woohoo in the hot tub, you have to make the 2 sims cuddle first, right? So, when i click woohoo, the cinematic starts normally, however when it goes back to live mode, the 2 sims are each in a corner of the hot tub, but just for like 1 second, and then they will quickly "slide" toward each other to go into cuddling position again.
It is like the game forgot they were supposed to be in that position, but then suddenly remembered. And it happens everytime 2 sims woohoo in a hot tub, however it only happens if the cinematic plays. if it is the regular animation and no cinematics, they will be just fine.
Can anyone test this and see if this is really a bug that deservs to be submited?
I can confirm this as well. This has happened since the base game, but I haven't really thought anything of it, either. Ditto. There are a lot worse bugs to worry about than something minor like that.

JMs Stereo Hack. It prevents naughty sims from randomly turning the stereo off, turning it back on, deciding to take a nap spontaneously, being awoken by the music and pitching a fit, then turning it off again, all the while another poor sim is trying to get their groove on with their special someone.
What it does is stop them from autonomously turning it off altogether. I haven't known sims to turn it on autonomously, so it works well. If it were possible to actually cancel out of the autonomous "Turn Stereo Off" action, it wouldn't be so bad, but once a sim has decided to do so they will from whatever range they may be, regardless of how I feel about it.
Preliminary testing (ie. using the old version and playing vaguely normally) indicates that the Stereo Hack is working in terms of making the sims slightly less neurotic in their music hardware power choices. If anything weird starts happening (that isn't a result of me being a dork and messing with things in SimPE), I'll let you know.
My sims turn the streo on autonomously all the time. Strangely though, a lot of the time they do it just before they sit down at the piano.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Request: Non-ADD Cooking Hack

My solution was to use the University Shinytyme cooktop in place of a regular stove. Sims don't leave something that's cooking on top of a stove but the drawback is that they can't cook foods that require an oven.
