I'm pretty sure he'd have this one (http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=137472) too if it were functional!  ;D

And on the above page you will find sleeping arrangements to suit the hardiest bunker-dweller when he's out on patrol!  And a little further on, there's the sign he's always wanted!

Thanks for the link, ZZ -- there's some nice stuff there!

Certainly looks good!  I have some of Buntah's stuff from TSR2, and it usually works pretty well.  (Which outdoor bed do you think the awesome one would prefer?)

He doesn't sleep, so something his dog, appropriately called "Dog," would like.  :P

Good places to hide out, though......

And the signs would be just right to welcome his visitors!

*grabs "No Trespassing" sign* Hm, as long as we're inquiring about the preferences of Pescado Sims, drum kit or badass-looking guitar? ;)

I pictured bad-ass looking guitar, being strummed while waiting for a comp program to compile  8)

I'm more partial to piano, myself. I, in fact, do happen to play the piano. And own one, at that.

I think I'm in love.

Aww, and I rather liked the image of Pescado-Sim jamming on the drum kit. Piano it is. Well, when I get around to dropping the few MATY Sims I plan to play into my Strangetown.

Hm, I wonder if anyone's done a barbed wire fence.

Sudden vision of JM playing some Rockabilly  8)

Actually I rather think it's more likely classical, say the 1812 overture or something equally thundering

Who are you kidding? You know the only reason you have a piano is because certain keys open passages to tunnels and weaponry and other keys are tripped to blow up stuff.

/me pictures JM banging the keyboard like a gleeful madman while yelling TORTURE AND DEATH!

Eh, I just don't feel the need to practice percussion music when I do enough of that as part of normal equipment maintenance.

Me? Romantic? Ha! I am most likely the single LEAST romantic person anyone's ever heard of.

Surprisingly enough, no. There's nothing truly unusual about the piano at all. I tried. Believe me, I tried. But wiring it up with too many explosives messes up the accoustic properties, so I had to settle with just rigging the bench.

Among others. How'd you guess?

I fancy you'd manage a little Mozart or some Chopin. How about Rachmaninov Concerto No. 3 in D minor? One of my favourites.

No, it's the 1812!  (And maybe a little Wagner too!)

Why does the Phantom of the Opera come to mind? :)

I have no idea who or what that is. I can only assume it has nothing to do with a masked man in purple spandex.

I'd be partial to drumming on a dead Kewian skull using dead Kewian bones, though.

1812 Overture and Wagner: yep.
Rhapsody in Blue: no.
Bolero: yep (full orchestra contains little well-trained sweatshop kiddies).
The Carnival of Animals: absolutely! (especially if the Fantasia dancing flamingos are included)

Vangelis' "Heaven and Hell" and a little Chinary Ung?

Title: Re: A must have for your bunker
Post by: ZephyrZodiac on 2006 May 26, 12:59:25
We were talking classical here!  Can you seriously see Pescado playing Vangelis?

Title: Re: A must have for your bunker
Post by: ElfPuddle on 2006 May 26, 13:10:08
Not all of it, no. But *anything* with the title "Heaven and Hell" simply NEEDS to be heard in a bunker, and I don't know of anyone else with a piano in a bunker.

Title: Re: A must have for your bunker
Post by: ZephyrZodiac on 2006 May 26, 13:12:55
Well, not on a piano!  You need a complete sound system with speakers in every cell!

Title: Re: A must have for your bunker
Post by: ElfPuddle on 2006 May 26, 13:18:56
You mean his sound system isn't hooked up to his piano? My vision of the bunker is totally ruined!

Title: Re: A must have for your bunker
Post by: ZephyrZodiac on 2006 May 26, 13:25:17
Well, unless he has an electric piano (heaven forbid, I have visions of a concert grand) having loads of microphones around would rather spoil the image, I think.

However, if he sings, then maybe he could do some bits from Faust?  In fact, quite a few operas spring to mind - Verdi's Otello would be another good one for a bunker!  Plenty of evil in that!

Title: Re: A must have for your bunker
Post by: ElfPuddle on 2006 May 26, 14:05:30
I was picturing the pirate piano from "The Goonies"...keys made of finger bones, etc. It's rigged electronically for the sound system. Otello is good whether or not he sings....the sweatshop-kids could do that too!
