101  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: How can I graduate an adult sim from High School? on: 2009 August 20, 13:58:32
Another thing I noticed in my game all the NPCs look exactly the same.  Give this one to the fire gods and try with a new papergirl?

I have moved in paperboys and I did not ever see them acting differently or showing signs of any special traits.
102  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Warning if you remove Awesomemod for any reason on: 2009 July 10, 22:17:28
This is a good place to say...BACK YOUR SHIT UP!

Then you don't have to worry if your legacy family is blue, with 7 heads and a broken family tree.  It is very simple to make a copy of your saves.
103  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Choice and Choices..!.. on: 2009 July 02, 23:06:39
I know what you mean...I wish there was more room sometimes!  Or all empty lots were able to change shape.  I have this one awesome house and I can't seem to fit it anywhere.
104  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: none of my pregnant females ever show a bump on: 2009 July 02, 15:38:20
Did you disableclothingfilter ? When I disable this I sometimes find my pregnant sims don't change their clothes when they pop.  And some clothes are not meshed to show the bump.  My townies and unplayed characters often walk around how you describe.  The game doesn't seem to change them into the maternity wear.

What I do is, I set up 2 everyday, sleep, and workout outfits to clothing I know shows a bump.  So when I hear the chime that they are pregnant I put them in the chosen maternity wear and when they pop they continue to wear this outfit.  I find this great since I can pick the color scheme.

That's the only thing I can think of that would cause it, maybe someone else knows more.
105  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Wishes that don't fulfill on: 2009 June 30, 00:27:08
I think BFF is when you know all the person's traits?  I believe I recall getting this fulfilled when my sim learned all the other sim's traits.  I find it hard sometimes to learn them all.  That is one wish I just do not fulfill.
106  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: How to... on: 2009 June 29, 00:17:13
Awesome Mod for Dummies:

Go back to where you downloaded the mod from.  Pescado tells you exactly where to stick the mod.  You NEED to do that installer monkey before you can place the Mod. (If you were more computer savvy I would say you can do the framework manually, but you aren't showing that.)

The installer monkey creates the additional folders and a resource file (which tells your game how to read mods) in the directory for you, so all you have to do is unzip the Awesome and plop it where Pescado tells you to.  And depending on if you have a Mac or XP or Vista, where your installed Sims 3 may differ a little...that is why Pescado went right for the important Folder...TS3(the Sims 3).  Go find that!

I think this is a lesson you need to figure on your own, since it is dangerous to go poking around your computer not knowing where exactly you need to be.

It's not hard...really it is very easy.
107  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Think of the children! (Bad Parenting in the Sims 3) on: 2009 June 28, 16:18:26
I've seen this too, and I think when the toddlers motives get too low they are magically transported to their house.

I actually tried to see what would happen if I stole a toddler from a house. I think it was the grandmother, and she picked the toddler up and went to her own house.  I had her feed it and play with it and after a while the toddler just disappeared from the lot.  No harm done, it was happily at his house.  Looks like they are immune to neglect!
108  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Error codes 12 and 13 along with crashing. on: 2009 June 28, 00:32:21
Mine was stupidly long...2 or 3 hours.  I was building and playing and totally forgot to save.  I normally save more often.  I imagine it is my fault. I am working on remembering to save more often!

Since the crash I have played a lot and have saved every time I think about it, and no crashes.
109  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Error codes 12 and 13 along with crashing. on: 2009 June 27, 18:07:02
Just wanted to add that I started to have the same crash today.  I have Windows Vista 64 bit too.  I had gotten these crashes back with the leaked version, and no mods.  I now have the retail version and only use Awesomemod.  This is my first error 12 crash since retail came out.  I am patched as well.

My saved file was marked as bad and was ruined.  The only thing was weird to me before the crash was I tried to use familyfunds cheat and it would not work.  I had testingcheatsenabled but for some reason it didn't work.  Then I tried to save and...blah.
110  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Donwload not included, so not for Pudding Factory: New Hair CC by Peggy on: 2009 June 27, 14:13:13
Yeah, a Sim(Hair)Guru already stated that over at the crap board (kind of expected this sort of issue anyway because I was reminded of the Sims 2 issue with the first "long dress-like shirts" that were made which were crashing the game when you used the phone).  There was also this:

"First off, this appears to be a Sims 2 asset that was converted to Sims 3. Due to performance reasons we're restricted to a certain amount of Vertices per hair, this hair mod exceeds that number. So for lower end computers, it can lead to slow down and cause instability like crashes and game freezing."

That excuse is a bunch of bullshit.  My computer is brand new with good hardware in it.  My graphics are all maxed and I have no lag and 0 crash issues.  I only crashed when I was at a distance with that hair installed.  To me that means something is messed up in the hair at a distance.  They failed...

I don't mind beta testing CC so that we can finally get things to work, but they should not blame the user.  I know how to install mods and my computer is very good.

Edited: I downloaded the new version and I no longer crash at a distance.  I just can't get over the 500 mile high forehead.  Yuck.
111  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch released. on: 2009 June 25, 23:30:12
I patched and have awesomemod installed.  I don't have any issues.

The only thing I saw that annoyed me was the babysitter had the baby in his hand then went to leave and jumped out and disappeared and my baby was on the ground outside.  I am glad he left the baby, but would be nice if he stuck it back in the crib.
112  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Donwload not included, so not for Pudding Factory: New Hair CC by Peggy on: 2009 June 25, 23:25:55
This crashes my game to desktop as well.  I found my common thread was I went to map view and zoomed waaaay out, then as I was zooming back in on my female sim I CTD.  I did this repeatedly to see and it did this every time.  I removed it and no longer crash.

Might have something to do with how it is loaded from a distance?

It was nice looking hair.  I prefer not to override things...can not wait until we can get CC again like in Sims 2.
113  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Things you DO like... on: 2009 June 22, 21:55:06
I also like all the things everyone listed but wanted to add some other things.

I do like... the entire landscaping items (trees, shrubs).  I think they are very well done.  I love how they move in the wind.

I love how my sim can go over her boyfriend's house and hang out and sleep over.

I like how elders look, I just think they are so damn adorable.

I like how my sims jump into the water from the side of the pool.

I love the beaches and the oceans.  If they make a BV type expansion it will be awesome to swim in the ocean.  (They should have shark attacks!!)

I like the quests.

I like the paintings my sims do.

I like the whole cooking/gardening.

I guess I could go on and on...

114  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Litter on: 2009 June 17, 20:08:39
Looks like an awesome way to get a Sim killed by flies (if it is still in).  My lots looked like this too before the latest updated awesomemod.  Now it's back to a clean park.
115  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Share pix / vidz of THE HORROR here on: 2009 June 16, 03:47:07
I was looking around my new neighborhood and came across a family where the children were OLDER than their parents!  So I decided to kill them all.  But before the last one died, she decided she disliked Grimmie...Her slapping him, him kicking her ass, and then after he took her soul..he took a drink!

116  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Lot sizes! on: 2009 June 14, 20:01:21
I find it very restrictive, and frustrating.  I also found if I move one house, set it down, and then want to move it back it gets a new lot shape and can't go back to the old one.  Very crappy to have it so restricted.  Feels like the game was built for 3 year olds, very little customization.
117  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Adoption/Social Service on: 2009 June 12, 23:42:09
I tried to recreate some Pleasantview families.  I made Mary-Sue and then got her taken by the social worker.  I then had the Oldie's adopt her....well it was some horrid ugly fat child!!  I did not test it enough to see if Mary-Sue got stuck in behind these other kids like a queue.  But I would not count on adopting a specific child.
118  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Is it only my sims, or they all actually like to flirt with anything that moves? on: 2009 June 11, 21:43:10
I had one sim who was set up like a romance sim.  He was married and I was playing another family and saw someone gossip that Herb Oldie was flirting with this chick.  When I went to Herb Oldie's house he had a love interest of a single mom down the street.

That's the only time I ever saw that.  I will have to double check what his traits were.  I believe they were handy, flirty, schmoozer, I forget the other 2.   I haven't gotten the love interest with Herb to see if they do anything else yet.  I have had sims flirt with my married sims, but they always decline the flirt.

I have played this game since the leaked and I have not had one spontaneous marriage ever.
119  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Objects I miss on: 2009 June 10, 14:48:47
I miss a lot of objects too, but the things I miss the most are a lot of the social interactions.  By the end of Sims 2 expansions there were a lot of interactions.  If I don't cheat, my Sim's children all barely even know each other.

Objects I miss, the hot tub, diving board, shelves and all my decorations!
120  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Share pix / vidz of THE HORROR here on: 2009 June 10, 03:22:28
Playing with "editme" I found if you edit someone while they are wearing their Career outfit you can edit that too!  Of course I did not believe it to work at first, so this is what I randomly chose for this guy....boy that was a sight to see when he rushed to work!!

121  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Share pix / vidz of THE HORROR here on: 2009 June 10, 01:55:43

Do you think it is wise to make funny faces at Grimmy???
122  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Kids and Toddlers on: 2009 June 10, 01:09:25
I had 4 toddlers in one house, and they all decided to play with the toys from the toy box.  They were all in the same room and they were talking to each other and getting +'s to their relationships.  I would imagine this would work for kids and toddlers?

Other than that I have not found any way.
123  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Gardening and fertilizing on: 2009 June 09, 15:31:19
Found the Putrid Apple seed when my Sim Rummaged in several Garbage cans.  I also had a sim running around the Central Park area and I saw an Apple seed that said Putrid Quality.  I guess planting that would make it go up one to Bad?

Another note..I also saw in a wooded area to the right of the (EDITED) City Hall, across the road (behind this sign) there are tons of Excellent, Outstanding and sometimes Perfect Lettuce, Apple, Grape and Watermelon seeds back there.

Edited:  Sorry was City Hall not the Library
Edited again to add new found seed.
124  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Can you delete households from the library? on: 2009 June 08, 17:46:28
No, not sure at all, but better to be safe then sorry is what I was thinking.

I did have one town when I first started to play and I had deleted and moved in a family from another neighborhood and I had several clones.  The game does some weird things with jobs, bosses and coworkers.  I just think it would be best to kill them off.
125  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Can you delete households from the library? on: 2009 June 08, 17:26:39
The families in the Library are not connected to your hood until you move them in.  You can delete, recreate all day long.  You can not delete the ones that came with the game.

By starting a new game you create a pristine neighborhood.  Nothing is connected.  Deleting families that *live* in your neighborhood is a VBT...kill them instead.
