Thanks Ambular, I must have been thinking of a different site that recently closed their doors.

Thank you to those who were helpful!  Smiley

I think garden of shadows is gone now.  Undecided

Thanks so much Pescado, I guess I should have asked before touching. Hope I didn't bugger things up in my hood. That would be a tad of a bummer.
3  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I need help with Simpe - Please don't beat me with sticks! on: 2015 August 07, 16:47:30
Yes thank you, I made that very clear that I understood that. I was hoping that someone here with Simpe experience could help me since I am not able to gain access to the Simpe forums.

The "please enlighten me" was in reference to the help I was seeking. If you don't want to help or can't there was no need to reply. But thank you all the same.
4  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / I need help with Simpe - Please don't beat me with sticks! on: 2015 August 02, 14:39:14
Okay I tried to register with the Simpe site to get my answer and asked them to send me the confirmation email several times and it still hasn't arrived. So I'm hoping that someone here can give me a hand. Please speak slowly I am relatively tech retarded but can usually muddle my way through.

Okay my question, I gave one of my sims the tokens ( I think I"m using that word right) that they learned how to do the bow and ti chi. I went into the sim descriptor, the details of the sim, chose vacation and put in the checks. Now in game when I go to her memories of vacation it shows that she has those abilities, but when I try to use them they aren't available. I have a sneaky suspicion that there was a heck of a lot more to it than what I did. Can someone enlighten me?
5  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: How do I update cc to the lastest eps? on: 2014 May 13, 18:09:52
I'm going to choose to believe that your not calling me an idiot nor a fucktard, because neither insult was necessary.  The tut that I found on MTS (the only one) was asking me to write code, that is not a simple task for someone who doesn't have that ability.  If there is no other way to make these changes to cc then so be it.  It is not a do or die situation, just a mere hopeful question.

My opinion on Sims3 and the reasons I choose not to play a game that requires several third party fixes just to get it to run, or the inability to get past three generations is irrelevant to my inquiry.

I thank you for responding.
6  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / How do I update cc to the lastest eps? on: 2014 May 12, 18:20:07
Hello, I'm hoping that I'm posting in the right spot.  I'm assuming that I am.  Anywho, I have a number of items like, fridges, bookcases, tvs, and computers that have not been updated to the last ep.  What I want to do is get those items to do what all the ep's allow them to do.  So of course, vacation-book a vaca on the computer and buy photo alblums.  University options for the computers and the new study's on the book cases.

I remember years ago that I had seen a tut to do just what I'm asking, but I can't find it.  I know that I am suppose to use simpe to do this and I checked the simpe forums.  They don't have anything that I could find to help me.  Plus it has been a very long time sense anyone has been there.

I found one tut at mts but they want me to add code.  If I could add code than I wouldn't be looking for a tut to do this.
Does anyone have any idea how to do what I'm asking?  Or at the very least shove me in the right direction.

Thanks so much for any help.
7  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The "Where Can I Find This CC?" Thread - Because you fail at Google on: 2013 August 18, 19:25:17
Hello,

When playing the violin my sims stop as soon as their fun meter is full.  Someone had said that I may find a fix for that here.  I did try google, but as the first post says, I such at it.  Is there such a fix?

As well, where do you find the list of downloads for the available fixes?

I'm useless, sorry.  Please be kind.   Wink
8  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sims 2 and Windows 7 on: 2009 December 22, 02:28:40
Ok I am pulling out this super old thread in hopes that there may be a solution that I have yet to find.  I had  xp originally on my system, now I have upgraded to windows 7.  I have had a few issues with the program and compatibility issues with speakers and drivers, but that is taken care of and a whole other topic.  Anyways, I have recently tried to reinstall my sims 2 games, I know its old and obsolete but I like it and intend to stick with it. As I installed the base game, then attempted to load up the patch for the base game when I received the message "Known incompatibility issue"  So I allowed it to search for the solution and not surprising came back with no solution. It at that point it would not install the game.  I have searched the net for solutions and came across a "patch" from a site called soft catalog.  I am not sure about this site since I can't find any reference to it anywhere else, I have scanned it and it has come up clean.  So I am wondering if the awesomeness of this site has come up with a walk around, patch or solution.

Please excuse my ignorance but don't understand how this would even work. Huh
10  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff Collections on: 2009 June 21, 19:00:38
I was doing some house keeping and getting rid of a bunch of hair.  Anyway I deleted one of the sims2 store hairs and I lost them all!  All my sims2 store hairs deleted with them.  Are they suppose to be connected like that?

I have been doing a scramble to try and find the hairs that I lost but can't find all the download links.  I will eventually find them but I am wondering if I delete the unwanted files again will they all go with them?
11  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / University Witch's showing face corruption. on: 2009 June 18, 22:00:08
Ok, I'm just going to jump right in to the nitty gritty here.  I originally created two uni students made them into witches with the debugger.  They walked to class and flew home on their brooms.  When they get home their faces are corrupted, they have holes between the chin and neck, you can see right through to their teeth.  So being the cc bug that I am, I removed ALL my cc except the debugger, created a new hood and two uni students.

I placed one of the students on the lot and changed them into a witch, I got the exact same problem.  I am not sure how to fix it, I am not familiar with all the bells and whistles of the debugger.  I can't find any information on this anywhere.  Has anyone had this happen?  Any ideas on what to do?

Edited for retarded spelling mistake, and now I have pictures.

Edited for the last time.  The problem is fixed, I apparently crapped my brains out and didn't even think that it would be a graphic card issue.  I updated drivers and now it all works.

13  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Unofficial AL Patch - Assorted Fixes on: 2008 August 31, 15:12:07
Are these the same updates that are in the directory list?  Or have you added new fixes in there, like the mail box in apartments issue?
14  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff on: 2008 July 04, 02:19:46
Thanks Kazzandra,  I figured as much but with my luck I would do it that way and it wouldn't work because I wasn't suppose to! Cheesy

I agree with the whole money thing, however (and please don't throw eggs at me) games like WWC and other PS3, X-box, PS2, games charge you for extra maps.  But with those they are working maps that do not require gamers to fix them before playing with them.  I don't like the idea of them continuely charging us out the nose for every little thing.  And to top it off, they don't work, and we get a nasty little malware with it.

I guess what I am saying is I can see both sides of the fence.  I just like it on this side.
15  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff on: 2008 July 04, 01:55:38
Correct me if I'm wrong but do I install these items right to my downloads folder just like any other cc?  I thought that I read somewhere that I couldn't do that but I can't seem to find that post.  Thanks for any help.
16  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff on: 2008 July 02, 03:25:16
Hey all, I was wondering if sucurom was removed from these items?  I'm assuming that yes is the answer, if I missed that post sorry, it is late and there are many.

Thanks to all for these items.
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Children's workout clothes on: 2008 April 27, 19:41:12
As far as Jfade has figured out from what others have also come up with, there is no true ryhme nor reason as to which clothes will cause the crash and which won't.  Jfade does not know how to by pass these security codes to make life easier.  Perhaps the date of these clothes are what might also be a factor.  I will have to try to remember to pass that on.

I myself have been successful with some clothes being switched over but others cause the crashes.  I don't know my way around simpe very well and not sure if I want to try.  So I can't comment on whether that will work or not, I think someone had mentioned this some time back.
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Children's workout cloths on: 2008 April 12, 17:50:37

Ok, lets take about ten steps back then.  What forum should I be posting in?  The war room, Bowels of Trogdor, maybe even the Peasantry?  This forum stated that if you had a question post it here, that is what I did.  Please clarify which forum I should have gone to so that I would not make the same mistake again.  That would be helpful.
I did, as Kyna hasd pointed out. Your inability to read is not my problem.

[quote[Second, you didn't help me in the sence that you talked about foreign or alien programs causing the error, when I already knew that.  I stated that when I said I placed cc cloths in the game with a new program.  Again not helpful.
No. I was asking you to help me by clarifying what you meant, because I didn't understand you. Instead of doing so, you snapped at me.
[/quote]

Well, then it was my bad for not understanding that you were asking a question and not making a statement.  When I read your question I thought you were telling me things I already pointed out.  So I apologize for that confusion which was mine.

And to say that I can't read because someone stated to go speak to jfade, and said that I did, and to let you know they are not responding to their thread over there.  So I thought I would post here.  I don't generally start threads here, usually just jump into others.  My mistake again for thinking this was the right forum.  Since there was no x-rated information or anything along that nature I didn't see the issue.  Yet again my bad.

If I hadn't read through this whole thing I would not have figured out that not all the files were the issue.  That I had not used WW wrong, but it was certain files that could not be converted.  As well, since Kyna you did not understand my last post, I had already knew the information you seemed to think I did not read.  I was making a point at how I felt the first response was not helpful to me.  Since I responded to the posts that told me where I should be posting next time.

And yes people make spelling errors, it happens.
19  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Children's workout cloths on: 2008 April 12, 17:20:24
Roll Eyes I wasn't even being nasty. I told you you were in the wrong forum, which you are, asked for clarification on a a point, and suggested other causes than EA's incompetence. Your original post wasn't very clear at all, and I was trying to offer help.

Now I'm being nasty, because your highly mature response was to snap at me.

*shoots her previous emoticon fest*

There. All better.

I could go on, I could get nastier as well, but why bother when others and myself have figured out what the issue really is.

There.  All better.
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Children's workout cloths on: 2008 April 12, 16:27:55
I figured it out, it is the file that I am trying to change over.  Apparantly the site I got the cloths from puts security tags on their stuff and it wreaks havoc with WW.  I did get some of my wanted outfits to swap over, but the ones I Really wanted I am having no luck.  I'm not sure how to use the clothing tool, I only just downloaded that as well.
Which site is it that's tacking spyware into downloads? NAME NAMES! I want BLAME assigned!

Yes this is from TSR, however, the items of cloths that did transfer over and work were also a payable items from tsr.  The items that seems to be giving issue are from sims2sisters from tsr.  So that confuses me just a tad.  The thread at jfades site did speak of the issue occurring with tsr related items and that when using booty items it resolved the issue.  And of course none of the items I wanted to convert are in the booty yet.  I have no idea how to read code so I can't really resolve it on my own.

Someone suggested simpe, sorry no quote, I would love to use simpe for this if I could, but I have no idea how to even start past downloading and installing.

And about all the nasty comments to the two who seem to thrive on it, just because you can be nasty doesn't mean you should always be nasty.  Not expecting a big ball of love coming from this site.  But still.

22  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Children's workout cloths on: 2008 April 12, 01:48:31
It could be a case of something getting mangled by the WW. If Bodyshop or CAS refuses to the load, it's one of the files that you editted got corrupted. Hence, why when you try to bring up the clothes buying menu, the game crashes. I had this happen last weekend with some custom hair.

So you might try redownloading the file that is making your game crash and edit it again.

Thanks, I removed the files from my dl's folder when it crashed both times.  And replaced them with the original files, they were working fine before I messed with them, so I may just try again with these files and see what happens.  Thanks for the info. I had never used this particular program before and it was my first instinct to come here thinking that I may get some input and help.  Silly me.

Ah. If I ever actually used BS to make clothing, I might have seen that. I would say 'fair enough', but you're rude, so meh.

I may have ended that with rudeness but you started out nasty, so meh, meh.

I wouldn't go into Burger King and ask them why the lettuce in my burrito from Taco Bell is soggy. Would you?

ABSOLUTELY I would, a fast food place is a fast food place, they all should know!
23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Children's workout cloths on: 2008 April 11, 21:12:54
Yeah I already did that I am just trying to cover my bases, you never know who may have an answer for you. Wink

Since this may not be a ww issue, then I may luck out with something that unlocks the active wear for children.  Once never really knows, since I wasn't asking the modders here to fix ww, I was asking if they could fix or find a loopwhole to open up that option for us.
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Children's workout cloths on: 2008 April 11, 20:55:21
Why is this the wrong forum?  It stats at the front page, ask me your questions so I can laugh at you!

Second I have been told by several people that the active wear have been disabled through bodyshop.  Otherwise I would have used bodyshop, but if you have opened YOUR bodyshop recently you would notice that the icon for childrens Activewear is shaded out.

Third, I also stated that I went through CAS the second time encountered the same issue.

So thanks for responding and a double thanks for being useless and nasty with your answers!
