Title: Needs wont decay
Post by: Tigerlilley on 2006 October 10, 01:34:05
hi everyone
I have one sim whos needs will not go down.  In fact every now and again they shoot right back up to green again, and i can't figure out why it happens.  No other sim in the family has this problem.  Any ideas what i should do?

Thanks

edit: does anyone know the cheat to enable buymode on a residential lot?  Shes currently stuck off world (again) and i need to grab the lot debugger to get her back.

I had a sim with static needs, too.

It was a dormie, whom I had moved in. I thought it was just his dormieprotection, which had gotten stuck. Is your sim a former dormie?

I guess you have already tried forcing an error. That solved it for me. You could also use the cheat to make the motives static and then make them dynamic again. Maybe that will solve it, too. Sorry I donīt have any other ideas.

One of my YAs developed that syndrome at Uni.

I loved it.

Alas, upon graduation she returned to "normal."

They SHOOT UP to green? I think the game thinks your sim is a dormie and is uni-protecting them. Get no-uni-protect.

They didn't shoot up to green but I had a problem for a while where a Uni Sim of mine would get his motives stuck.  I just used boolProp and reset him and his needs were dynamic again.  Try a reset or use the Sim Modder, which you can spawn with testingCheats on and make your Sim's motives dynamic again.

a other bunch of weird stuff has happened on this lot, for example one teen got promoted to top of his career on his very first day at work, and the other teen just got abducted by aliens (no cheats).

These are the hacks i have:
Cboy - Eatmoretalkless
collegeadjuster
collegeclock
ffsdebugger
ltwvariety
noagediscrimination
nobuskers
nodormieregen
notownieregen
noplagerism
relevantwages
resturantbarfix
romanceurnfix
vampirefix

Does anything conflict with anything?  I have no idea why this lot is so screwy

Alien abductions do happen.  I've had a lot of them, and I don't cheat.
All my teens get promoted to the top of the career after the first day.  That happens when they have enough skills.

(Not sure about this) If your teen was or is in private school, they start on level 2, therefore if they are in a good mood, have enough friends and skills already, they get to the top on the first day since theres only 3 levels in teen careers.
