I see no reason why it shouldn't.
52  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Pear ShinyStation - No Window! on: 2008 July 25, 01:27:46
I really liked the Pear ShinyStation from TSS, but I did not like the window on the side at all. Sure, I love looking at the guts of a pc, but the colors were already loud enough. The fact that nothing is where it should be didn't help. This is simply a set of default replacement textures to remove the window and logo from the default colors. Also, I made a default replacement for the Rod Humble PC since it was the same one.

Edit: Fixed download.
53  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff on: 2008 July 21, 18:12:10
I've updated the main post with what I think are the latest downloads, if someone could check them out and confirm that it would be great.

Comodo?
55  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: NVIDIA GeForce 4 MX 440 - best drivers? on: 2008 July 20, 18:05:26
I'm not really sure about the processor. What kind is it? As for the video card, do you know what kind of slot it uses? I'm thinking that it would be AGP, but I'm not sure. If it is then something like this should be a nice upgrade, but you might need a new power supply to go with it.
BTW, wait until other people give you some suggestions too, I've been know to not know what the hell I'm talking about. Tongue

Edit: It might be worth pricing and building a newer computer yourself though. Now that I think about it you would pretty much have to replace everything to upgrade this one. The motherboard probably would have to be replaced to use a modern processor, so that pretty much means that the ram and video card would have to go. The only things that I can see not replacing would be the drives, sound card, and modem.

Edit 2: I put together a computer that should run TS2 nicely, and not be crazy expensive to build. If you can get your fiancé to build it for you, then this would be cheaper than getting it from a company like Dell or HP.

Processor - Intel Pentium E2220 Allendale 2.4GHz $89.99
Memory - OCZ S.O.E 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 - $26.99 after mail in rebate.
Motherboard - GIGABYTE GA-G31M-S2L LGA 775 Intel G31 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - $59.99
Power Supply - Antec True Power Trio TP3-550 550W ATX12V - $59.99
Video Card - XFX PVT84JYAJG GeForce 8600 GT 512MB - $62.99 after mail in rebate.
DVD Drive - SAMSUNG 22X DVD±R DVD Burner with LightScribe - $30.99
Hard Drive - Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD3200AAKS 320GB 7200 RPM SATA - $64.99
Case - COOLER MASTER Centurion 541 RC-541-SKN1 Black Aluminum
Operating System - Windows XP Home SP3 - $84.99
Case Fans - MASSCOOL FD08025S1M4 80mm - $5.37 for 3
This would make a great TS2 computer, or a computer for anything else really. It has enough ram and a fat processor, plus a great video card. You would easily be able to run The Sims 2 all the way on high, and TS3 should be nice on it too. In the future if you need to replace anything it should be easy to upgrade. If you shop around for the parts you should be able to get several of them cheaper.
56  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: NVIDIA GeForce 4 MX 440 - best drivers? on: 2008 July 20, 17:35:10
Honestly, I would think you would be better off just saving up your money and replacing that with a new computer. For this one though, what do you have Graphics Effects set to under the settings menu? On my old computer I could run the game with that set to high, but when I installed Seasons the fog that showed up when it snowed or rained caused a massive slow down. If you have that set to high it might be worth turning it down to medium.  Smiley

It is. Check and make sure you have the latest version.
58  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff on: 2008 July 05, 08:03:04
No, the files are way too small for the clothes.
59  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff on: 2008 July 05, 07:59:50
I'm putting together a rar with the clothes now, it should be on the first post shortly. I'm also going to try to update the rars with the objects in them. To the best of everyone's knowledge, have all the objects been fixed?
60  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff on: 2008 July 03, 07:37:23
Sometimes I really love this site. Snarky, but awesome.

I'm guessing, since the link has been pulled from the front page of the thread, that there's a problem with clothes working? I checked out everything today and I've got hair styles and items, but no clothes.
Sorry, I never actually put that up. I will one everything is up though.

Hello everyone. Delurking here to post fixes to the deco and cubic sets.

Besides the curtain with no diagonal and the stuff with too many tiles I found several other issues:

The deco living and lounge chairs had issues with their GMND's, making some subsets not update their textures properly.
The dresser had a whopping 1929 vertices extra, in an unused subset.
The window had duplicates of three textures and material overrides/definitions. I removed these from the window that havelock had fixed already.
Finally several of the objects from both sets had mixed up groundshadows with wallshadows, making the walllshadow visible at all times.

Hopefully all of this is fixed now. Let me know if you find any problems with these files.

decoset: http://www.box.net/shared/hn1hcnd444
cubicset: http://www.box.net/shared/j71f8jfokw

I included the items I haven't done anything with to keep the sets together.

Big thanks to everyone who has shared and fixed files here.
That is so totally awesome, I'm updating the main links to include this now.

I'm getting the first post updated.
63  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff on: 2008 July 01, 05:10:18
I don't know, can you?  Tongue Try just making a folder and dumping the files in there.
64  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff on: 2008 July 01, 04:14:10
Okay, I don't know if it would help, but I placed mine in C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2\TSData\Res\Catalog\Bins\EA Store. Maybe you could try placing it in there, but besides from that I don't know what would be causing it.  Sad
65  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff on: 2008 July 01, 03:21:51
Fair warning: I tried to delete one recolor of one of the hairs (the short choppy one comes with 2 blacks) and ALL of the TS2 store hairs disappeared.  They were still in the DL folder, which is weird, but I've re-dl'd them to see if that fixes it.
That happens when all of the recolors are in one package. This time it isn't my fault though, as the files are as they came directly from EAxis. The only thing I did was compress them and change the product number.

ok i wait here Wink please tell me what happend  Cry
I don't know why they aren't working for you. They show up in my game fine. What expansion packs/ stuff packs do you have?
66  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff on: 2008 July 01, 03:15:05
By the way, have you checked TashaFaun's files? some of them (afbodydressbaroque) cannot be opened with SimPE. I'm not sure if it's just me or not.
I haven't, but I think someone said that the EA downloader corrupted them.

but i have a problem, i don't see the objects  Sad i put in downloads carpet and not work  Sad please help me!
I don't know why that is, hang on, let me check in my game.
67  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff on: 2008 July 01, 03:03:56
Thank you so much Simsbaby - are all the new things going to be up? There were 32 adult female whole outfits (I have the free one) and 19 adult male whole outfits.  If I can contribute in anyway, please let me know.  My husband says Thurs or Fri I can purchase some points ( I have to wait till he gets paid).
That would be really helpful, check and see what TashaFaun in The Podium has already got. Also, it might be a good idea to post and say what you're getting before you get it, so people don't end up buying the same thing twice.
68  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Kitchen & Bath hair on: 2008 July 01, 02:53:48
This is fixed now, I made a new recolor for it so that it should work correctly. You can recolor it by chaning the texture of afhair_Casual1~afhairshortheadband_band, or whatever it's called for the age you're working on.
69  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff on: 2008 July 01, 02:32:00
EAxis had changed a setting on the clothing and hair so that it wouldn't easily work in TS2 without the store edition. This is easily fixed, and I have done so.  Smiley

Ah, yes. My new laptop weighs much more than my old one, it's also bigger. I love it, so much better than the Toshiba. With that one I could press on the back of the screen and it would make ripples.
72  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Trying to Find A 500GB Notebook HDD on: 2008 July 01, 00:12:15
Woah baby. I would love to have one of those. I've seen a company called Sager that has a 17" notebook that can have three HDs.

Whatever new hair that comes with this pack will only show up for everyday, formal, and outerwear. The rest of the catagories will default to the straight long hair for girls, and the short curly hair for guys.
74  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Kitchen & Bath hair on: 2008 June 30, 07:04:08
That's great! Grin I've just uploaded it at InSim too.

ARGLEBARGLE!
I was supposed to upload this ages ago. You'll need to try it out as I have no idea if it works or not. Please test it out and let me know if it works properly. Also part of this is the file I made that enables it for teens.
EDIT: Fixed now please redownload, and delete the files of fail from before.
