126  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: More FUBAR Than You December (New) on: 2008 December 11, 16:33:11
What about if the picture isn't particularly comical, but a caption made it so?
127  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: More Awful Than You! December: Freaky Furries on: 2008 December 10, 19:41:48
Ugh, they're hideous! Looks as if Blue's chin and Purple's nose could kill someone. And the eyes... Yeesh!

So much for my chance of some decent sleep tonight...  Tongue
128  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis house of FAIL: December on: 2008 December 09, 17:52:11
I'm guessing that EAxian logic strikes again, and they have made bright red the new default mailbox colour?
129  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Make friends with 5 service NPCs. Which ones count? on: 2008 December 09, 16:17:14
Is there a list of "taboo" NPCs? In fact, is there hack that prevents "taboo" NPCs from showing up Downtown and on blind-dates? Maybe that way I won't accidently do anything with them.
130  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Look out!!! M&G runs from its own disk, not latest EP. on: 2008 December 09, 16:14:25
Technically I think M&G is an EP eve though EAxis mistakingly named it an SP. I change the property value so it doesn't run from the launcher. If you look at it's exe it is Sims2EP9 not Sims2SP whatever. How can they come out with an EP and call it an SP or have an SP that's named as an EP? EAxis does nothing but confuse me and piss me off. Huh
Right. It's not like we've established the fact and the reasons why they may have possibly done this a few pages back, now is it?  Tongue
131  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis house of FAIL: December on: 2008 December 05, 20:38:33
I took it to mean the dirt patch and perhaps the stone around it?
132  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: More Awful Than You! December: Freaky Furries on: 2008 December 04, 21:56:00
From The Sims Resource:

Werewolf from Hell

Elderly Werewolf from Hell

I don't even want to contemplate what the hell this is...

This skintone makes me want to gouge my eyes out!

My eyes!!

*hack* *cough* *splutter*

And I've seen oracledelphi4's work. It is truly vomitworthy.
133  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: More Awful Than You! November: Build Mode Abominations on: 2008 December 01, 18:33:23
Well I've seen some pets that happen to be masquerading as some sort of Dog/Polar Bear abomination, and the like. I'm sure some people out of there have attempted and failed miserably at producing something other than rainbow cats and dogs.
134  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: More Awful Than You! November: Build Mode Abominations on: 2008 November 30, 18:55:20
Well done Metalkatt. Nice to see a return to more traditional topic this month, Those walls... *cowers in fear*

I've some very fugly pets. It'd be nice to do that at some point in the future.
135  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Store Stuff on: 2008 November 27, 18:26:42
It's an attempt to con people out of their money by selling them something they already have, by being ambiguous as to what exactly the compilation actually contains. To what low will EA sink?
136  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Store Stuff on: 2008 November 27, 16:57:48
I notice they've now uploaded the Christmas Tree and Snowman set from the holiday crap packs of olde. I can just imagine what the EA execs (provided they are indeed human) are thinking... "AMAZING OFFER: Your two favourite christmas items + SecuROM for FREE!"
137  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Fail: November on: 2008 November 26, 21:22:55
I'd just like to point out that the Pleasantview house was the very first House of Fail. 111 Stratford Street would be very interesting though. I'd love to see what people do with that corridor.
138  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: M&G, some object makes Headmaster jump. on: 2008 November 26, 16:13:40
I'm not sure if they even cool a sim off if it's overheated.
Now THAT is something to look into.
139  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Bonus item of M&G? on: 2008 November 23, 12:05:12
Obviously the ShitStore™. They wouldn't pass up an opportunity like that.

I still wonder what ever happened to those baby items..?
140  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Neighborhood Object Gone Missing with AL Patch 2!!! on: 2008 November 23, 10:51:20
Out of interest... If both buildings are back, do they appear correctly in both Belladonna Cove and Downtown, or are they still screwed up?
141  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: More Awful Than You! November: Build Mode Abominations on: 2008 November 22, 14:32:50
I NEVER play with walls down! I only play with walls up. I used to play with walls down in The Sims 1, but that was because of it's limited rotation. It is much more pleasing to the eyes with walls up.
Funny, I'm the other way around. Or rather, I was. Now I have walls down or cutaway on everything now. Even my actual house. It really saves having to get around everything...
142  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: M&G setQuarterTilePlacement on/off new decorating "cheat" on: 2008 November 22, 14:25:08
This should be useful for centering objects, like that infernal fountain. I imagine many issues arising when used excessively though.
143  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Look out!!! M&G runs from its own disk, not latest EP. on: 2008 November 21, 16:33:06
Oddly enough Peter just told me SimPE does the same (ie regards AL as having been uninstalled after telling it about M&G)
So EAxis have made their most incompentent error yet?
144  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Look out!!! M&G runs from its own disk, not latest EP. on: 2008 November 20, 21:24:09
Hm, this is an interesting new wall covering...

"Brickrolled
This brick is never gonna let you down..."
145  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Too secret door? on: 2008 November 20, 21:16:22
It's right there in the directory, you can't fail to miss it.
146  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Look out!!! M&G runs from its own disk, not latest EP. on: 2008 November 19, 19:40:23
To all owners of legit copies of the game
an Arr'd version of the stuff pack has been detected. To confirm its validity, we request your help. We need the folloing information:
  • is it really named Sims2EP9 in the executable and the disc label?
  • what are the MD5 hashes, or at least the file sizes, of the game executable and the executables in the root of the disc?
Thank you for your help
the pirates in #grah
Isn't H&M or something EP9? I remember one of them being EP13, so it would make sense that SPs count as EPs internally. It's been awhile and I haven't installed the game at all on my now-on-life-support system as I can never play it on this thing again.

Some people were also reporting that they need to use the AL disc to play the game. Hm...
147  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Nvidia driver reccomendations? on: 2008 November 03, 18:02:40
Blargh. I have just got my computer working again after about 2 weeks due to the infamous Nvidia "infinite loop" error caused by installing a new driver (my monitor also exploded during this time, which I promptly replaced with a 22 inch widescreen that will take some getting used to...)
148  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: 2nd patch released on: 2008 October 17, 19:46:59
Beware the first patch CAN bugger up your game... I dont know about the second one. It gave me invisible critters and lag times for sound and animation. OH  and inevitable crashes.
Knowing EA, I think those are features.
149  Darcyland / Lord Darcy Investigates / Re: Pie Menu Text Strings Fix on: 2008 October 15, 17:39:34
I think I might have a stab at editing the computer pie menu strings. It's so cluttered, and could be so easily made much more organised than it is now.
150  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / L&P Spore (expansion) announced on: 2008 October 13, 20:47:52
In a typical move, EA has shocked and startled the world with their surprise announcement that they plan to milk the Spore series until they leave it for dead.

It's barely been out a month and Spore's first expansion pack has been announced. Apparently it will "expand the space stage and give space-borne civilizations Star Trek-esque teleportation technology, letting players beam down to distant planets and undertake new missions. The expansion will also add in the Adventure Creator, which will let gamers build and share their own missions."

They're also doing the stuff pack thing, this time called "parts packs". Spore: Creepy & Cute Parts will add "in excess of 100 new creature-building parts that will fall in line with the titular theme. The parts, available in the game's Creature Creator, include components for the body, as well as paint options, animations, and backgrounds."

Parts packs = Epic phail.

As for the expansion, the space stage is fleshed out enough as it is. They should be focusing on making the other stages halfway decent and playable. Anything they do add in this expansion should have been in the game in the first place anyway.

As I've uninstalled Spore, I am definitely not getting involved in this series. Such a shame how greedy evil publishers can ruin something that had the potential to become very, very good.
