Kissingtoast: In my files, the package files appear as blank icons with the title of the file on them. The Sims3 pack files appear as the blue w/the green plumbob and the title. So they are two entirely different types of files and function differently as well. I tried placing the Sims3 pack file in my Library folder but could not see Lunar Lakes in my game.
I mentioned Barnacle Bay as a means of showing that while it is a package file, it also has a different suffix being a world file and so it resides in the Installed Worlds folder. I haven't had any problems w/different neighborhoods appearing before trying to install Lunar Lakes.
I think you need to re-read what you have posted because your answer is in that as to why Lunar Lakes is not showing up.

I used the Teleportation potion but all my sim did was hover above the ground for a while. I dont know if I was meant to choose where they teleported to but when I tried they still hovered until I cancelled the action, then they ran off to the place I had wanted them to teleport to.

I actually have all 3 Sims games on my computer and takes turns at playing them. My favourite game of all time is Sims 1 Makin' Magic. I love the weather in Sims 2 but at the moment in Sims 3 have no particular favourite.

I think I just died a little. Edit: On another note, trying to access some of the items in the store and am getting "This Content is not Available in your Region", well damn. You need to change your language settings at the bottom of the pafe to access some content. The new car s oly available for UK memebers so you need to change to that if you are from the US and others are for US only so again if you are from the UK need to change to US. As to gamegame - Yes they are repackages.
