Title: Missing Memories in OFB
Post by: Jysudo on 2006 March 02, 01:45:22
Hi, can anyone check and tell me if their OFB simmies have any memories?
Denise of the bakery and Melody of The Tinker doesn't have any memories in their memories slot!
While Gilbert, son of Denise has the default memories that any adult sim will have.

I want to know if its maxis's screw up or my game problem?

By the way, OFB added 77 character files. Acceptable number for me.

Do you mean that as you are playing no memories are being added to those sims?

The single lady who has a flower shop (be damned if I could remember her name) only has the stock CAS memories too.

If it worries you, you can always give them a few!

For sims, memories are a privilege, not a right.

Good! Some less Sims I'll have to use the ldb 'mystery sims' memory wiper on.

I love it when they suddently rem something and cried (e.g pee on themselves) or a woo hoo. I also like it that sims rem their first love. so yeah, for my sims, memories are a right.

No zz it doesn't bother me. I don't play stock sims. I just wanna know if its my problem (so that I could fix it ) or if its stupid Maxis .

I don't love it with vampires, almost lost mine because he kept jumping out of his coffin to sigh over some bugs or something stupid.  Had to watch him all bloody day.

You need DJ sims' smart coffin to nail them shut in theircoffins and dump their coffins in a basement so that in case they get out, at least they won't die so fast.
I once had an idiot vamp (my fav btw) who died because he decide to do yoga at 7am. I had to call Grimmie  :D

Certainly useful, saves all those elixir bottles littering up the place!

I don't use the elixir much, but the energisers and thinking caps really start to mount up.  I found that Smart Coffin, now all I need is something to make him run or fly straight to his coffin autonomously when daybreak comes.

Does JM's mod which sends sims to bed at bedtime work for vampires?

But I don't know if smart coffin works with ofb...so better wait before using it.

I have PM to ask but we shall have to wait. Till then i am keeping a hawk eye on my stupid vampires. :-[

Well, you could always put it in a Test folder and try it out - if it doesn't work, just remove it.

You mean the sleepclock Zephyr?  Hadn't thought of that, I don't have it but I can try it out.  Probably won't be for at least a couple of days though, I'm too excited to play right now *grin*.

That's the one I was thinking of - I haven't tried it myself, so I don't know how it works exactly.  But if you can set a time, then it should work for vampires too.

Do you keep a lot of full ones on the lot or don't you "sell" (delete) them when they're empty?  My sims have so many asp points that don't get used that I just delete the old, used up asp rewards and get new ones.

I couldn't imagine having more than one energizer on a lot!  They take up too much space!  And I only keep a couple of thinking caps on hand at a time.  They take up too much table/counter space for me!

Must admit, sometimes I forget to delete the elixir!  Don't use the other things that much, really.

LOL!  I sometimes don't realize that the smart milk is empty and don't get it deleted, so it sits on a counter taking up room.  If I don't realize something's been "used up" I find out later (usually MUCH later, since I don't use them much, either) that what I wanted to send a sim to is unselectable.  That's usually when it gets deleted.

Meh, less memories is good.  Would you rather have no memories or memories of sims that don't exist, making your game ka-crunch under the weight of false character files.
