Title: Glamour question
Post by: siriusthinking on 2006 September 07, 15:09:22
Target has Glamour on sale for $14.99 this coming week.  Is it worth it?

Doesn't really seem like it, and I'm still scared to get FFS, but I might snag this one.

I liked it.  But I've liked everything out so far.  Some have loved the stuff, others have hated it.  Your Milage May Vary.

I liked it. The splash screen and music is less annoying than the OFB's in any case. I am mad I can't play it right now because my computer completely asploded.

That sounds great  :-\  I'll probably grab it while it's on sale then.  I'm such a sucker for Sims.

Nope.  Only liked one thing in the entire pack and that was the baggy pajamas.  I am hoping someone converts those somehow for non-Glamour people.

I like a lot of the items.  A lot better than FFS.
I love the new PJs, and the formal wear for men.  I also like the everyday outfit for women.
There are some good floors and walls as well, but those are easy to copy.

I'll leave it up to you do decide if it's worth the money.
I paid for mine, and I haven't regretted it yet.

I liked it. I paid $14.99 at WalMart, so I didn't feel too upset at the price.

I got it a few days ago.  I don't think it's worth the $20 ;p

If you like the idea of glamour type things then it'd be worth getting if it's on sale.

I like it, but then I'm a sucker for decorative stuff.   :-\

/me slips something into Blue's PM box.  ;D

I am in the same boat as DoomPuppy is on this one. At least we now have a 4x1 mirror to work on now. :P

It's 24.99 here - that's why I don't think it's worth the money.

I like it. The clothes and furniture sets are really nice. Cost me £9.99 :)

For my money, I find Glamour to be much more worth than Family Fun, but then I only broke down and bought FFS because of the Barenaked Ladies songs added to the radio. Considering how big a fan I am of them, paying $15 for several songs of them singing in Simlish was worth it.

With Glamour, I'm much happier with the items themselves. I like most of the clothes, like most of the furniture, love having added decorative stuff, and I'm really liking the wallpapers and floors.

My only problem now is that I have to remember to decorate with other stuff too. I tend to obsessively use my new favorite things in every house.

I hope you are right. So far, that's the only thing I liked too. I don't know anything about the pack beyond of what I've seen posted though, I don't have the GL pack. Can't afford it, I need to spend it on other luxuries, such as food, or gas, or electricity, etc., so I can't really justify - to myself- buying something so not worth the high price. If it was cheaper....

Hairfish (mermaid cove) has nice recolors of the pyjamas, by the way.

I really like the clothes...  especially the baggy PJs, and the new male teen everyday outfits.  It's great to have some dressed up clothing for male teens that doesn't make them look dorky and nerdy.

I like it a lot. But also remember that when *THE PACK THAT WILL NOT BE NAMED* comes out, there won't be any people stuff in it, so if you want any new clothes, you'll need GP

Simsbaby was kind enough to extract the aforementioned PJ's for me and they are now available for use in non-Glamour games.

You can find them here (http://www.nectere.net/smf/index.php?topic=484.msg6271;topicseen#new) and you no longer have to be a member to download stuff.
