26  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TUTORIAL: Merging the Maxis neighborhoods. on: 2008 April 22, 20:06:30
Can I start with a custom neighborhood, then merging Pleasantview, Strangetown, Veronaville. Bluewater Village, Riverblossoms Hill and Desiderata Valley together as my shopping districts?
Yes.
27  TS2: Burnination / The War Room / Re: Correcting the DNA of Strangetown premade characters on: 2008 April 20, 22:33:02
It's unlikely that they are.

Pleasantview, Strangetown and Veronaville were built on an old version of CAS, before the genetic coding was set in stone, and certain Sims weren't updated later on. The new hoods were built on a fully-functional CAS engine, so shouldn't have genetic issues.
28  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TUTORIAL: Merging the Maxis neighborhoods. on: 2008 April 20, 12:24:18
Would this technique also work for converting from one suburb to another?

I'd like to add cwykes' Sedona to my conglomeration of neighbourhoods, but they're all set as shopping districts (I'm using HystericalParoxysm's download). Therefore, the obvious solution - aside from merging them all manually, which I'll do if I have to - is to trick the game into thinking it's a downtown.

That, or back up and try adding it anyway :p Which I'm pretty sure will cause borkage.

EDIT: Okay, I backed up my game and added it as a shopping district. Bizarrely, the game has not immediately exploded, and seems to be jogging along quite well. I can only assume that this is in some way related to my earlier deletion of Veronaville. I'm sceptical of this continuing to be the case, but as long as it is, I'm not complaining. Just backing up frequently and preparing to either revert to a pre-Sedona state, or start again from scratch Tongue

That's the old default wedding dress from before whichever EP allowed normal custom formalwear to be used for weddings (OFB?), and shouldn't be showing up in your wardrobe anyway, as far as I know. Did you have a hack to enable it in the first place?
30  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: BV clothes without the gay backpacks? on: 2008 April 17, 23:52:37
I have no idea why they didn't think to make them an accessory instead of clothing.
Because 'accessories' are a community invention. As far as EAxis are concerned, they're glasses and/or jewellery.
31  Darcyland / Lord Darcy Investigates / Re: Kitchen & Bath Stuff Objects Fix - Missing Seasons/FT Functions Enabled on: 2008 April 16, 21:51:59
Ah. You know, I had the feeling that would be the case.

*pokes muTorrent1 in a vain attempt to hurry it up*

1 The logo is clearly a mu. I refuse to call it 'uTorrent' on principle.
32  Darcyland / Lord Darcy Investigates / Re: Kitchen & Bath Stuff Objects Fix - Missing Seasons/FT Functions Enabled on: 2008 April 16, 21:41:51
This is truly pathetic. I can almost understand it when SPs miss the last EP's updates, but updates from a year-old EP? Good grief. Thank you for the fix.

Also, where did you get the female Sim's hair?
33  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Odd (I'm assuming FT Related) Problems on: 2008 April 15, 12:46:49
Hey, I know this one. I managed it yesterday :p

Most likely, his aspiration field has been set to a number higher than six or seven, making it undefined. Try using the ReNuYu orb or a cheat object to change it back.

No idea how it happened, though. Mine occurred because I was screwing about in SimPE and got the wrong field.
34  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seasonal Age Project: RFC (Request For Comments) on: 2008 April 14, 22:07:42

However, I have considered looking into making more ways for a sim to die in this mod... like modding the "take a spin" social to include a chance of an accident where the car is destroyed and the sims die horribly.
Oh, yes please! Please!

This game seriously needs more bad stuff. Especially since my 'clinical depression' mod ain't looking like being finished any time soon.
35  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: BV clothes without the gay backpacks? on: 2008 April 13, 20:57:51
I'm indulging in fits of childish giggles? I didn't realise that.

Also, a fanny-pack is not the same thing as a fanny Tongue

On a related note, I do miss the old days of Sims 1, when every Townie was named Randy. Oh, the laughs.
36  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Children's workout cloths on: 2008 April 12, 23:01:48
Oogh! It could replace Nature: it's impossible to avoid the Wants since they're fulfillable on an unfurnished lot, Sims won't get a big asp bonus from individual actions, and saving one kiddy just leads to the desire for to save moar.
37  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Children's workout cloths on: 2008 April 12, 22:25:25

And to say that I can't read because someone stated to go speak to jfade, and said that I did, and to let you know they are not responding to their thread over there.
Right here, we have a prime example of why I can't understand half of what you're posting. The beginning of this sentence does not match its end. I think you must be skipping conjunctions or something; they're not optional, you know.

Since there was no x-rated information or anything along that nature I didn't see the issue.  Yet again my bad.
Huh Since when is the only reason to not post in the general forum - especially of MATY - x-rated content? The categories are there to keep everything reasonably sane, not to save the children's precious eyes.
38  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Lot Debugger Expansion Request on: 2008 April 12, 19:55:50
Charamei, if you plan to rampage and send your 10 children to take finals, you can count on EVERY member of the extended family down to the least cousin being given 80--repeat: EIGHTY--Dean's List memories...
Oh, jolly good. At the moment it's only those two generations, but I'm so happy to know I have this to look forward to... my heir is family, too Roll Eyes

Kill it, kill it now. With fire or without, I don't mind.

Also, 'mephews'? I cna ytpe 300 wrods pre mniuet, you know!
39  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Lot Debugger Expansion Request on: 2008 April 12, 19:11:15
I haven't done big families in a while, so no. If it does extend to mephews, though, eep, get rid of it. My family of 10 children is about to hit college.
40  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Children's workout cloths on: 2008 April 12, 17:35:58

Ok, lets take about ten steps back then.  What forum should I be posting in?  The war room, Bowels of Trogdor, maybe even the Peasantry?  This forum stated that if you had a question post it here, that is what I did.  Please clarify which forum I should have gone to so that I would not make the same mistake again.  That would be helpful.
I did, as Kyna has pointed out. Your inability to read is not my problem.

Quote
Second, you didn't help me in the sence that you talked about foreign or alien programs causing the error, when I already knew that.  I stated that when I said I placed cc cloths in the game with a new program.  Again not helpful.
No. I was asking you to help me by clarifying what you meant, because I didn't understand you. Instead of doing so, you snapped at me.

Edit: Because I phail at typing.
41  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Children's workout cloths on: 2008 April 12, 16:37:12
Roll Eyes I wasn't even being nasty. I told you you were in the wrong forum, which you are, asked for clarification on a a point, and suggested other causes than EA's incompetence. Your original post wasn't very clear at all, and I was trying to offer help.

Now I'm being nasty, because your highly mature response was to snap at me.

*shoots her previous emoticon fest*

There. All better.
42  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Wants & Fears Sanity "Death To All Nesses" Public Beta Edition on: 2008 April 12, 15:16:30
Bugger.

Good to know, at least. Baa.
43  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Children's workout cloths on: 2008 April 12, 15:14:39

I may have ended that with rudeness but you started out nasty, so meh, meh.
Oh, I'm so sorry Smiley I clearly should never have been so blunt Smiley MATY is, after all, well-known for its kind, wecoming atmosphere and tolerance of newbies Smiley Pescado, Rohina, eveyone, I apologise profusely for my momentary lapse into unhelpfulness Smiley I hope you can all forgive me Smiley Happy happy happy, that's the way MATY should be Smiley

44  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Carpool not showing/no hour warning? on: 2008 April 12, 08:41:31
I actually want it on an unlevel lot, though Tongue I'm not planning on moving the houses in that subhood for the next 12-odd generations, so I don't much care about the terrain being borked. And except for testing purposes, she wasn't going to get a car anyway :p

If all else fails I may give that a go, but it's very much a last resort. Still, it's an idea.
45  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Carpool not showing/no hour warning? on: 2008 April 11, 23:34:54
Not yet. I'll give that a go next rotation, too Smiley Just finished this one and I have a dissertation to procrastinate on, so it shouldn't be long now.

*baas at Simsample*
46  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Children's workout cloths on: 2008 April 11, 21:48:52
All of the new FT fitness and sports items: ballet barre, football goal, etc. Also jogging.
47  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Children's workout cloths on: 2008 April 11, 21:31:06
Why is this the wrong forum?  It stats at the front page, ask me your questions so I can laugh at you!
It has a child board:

Oops! You Broke It!
HELP ME!!! It's broken!

Second I have been told by several people that the active wear have been disabled through bodyshop.  Otherwise I would have used bodyshop, but if you have opened YOUR bodyshop recently you would notice that the icon for childrens Activewear is shaded out.
Ah. If I ever actually used BS to make clothing, I might have seen that. I would say 'fair enough', but you're rude, so meh.

Quote
Third, I also stated that I went through CAS the second time encountered the same issue.
So it's probably the outfit, not the wardrobe. It's still not EA causing the problem.

Quote
So thanks for responding and a double thanks for being useless and nasty with your answers!
No problem. Thanks for handling my minor oversights in a mature and rational fashion.

Froward fornicating fish-hag.
48  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Wants & Fears Sanity "Death To All Nesses" Public Beta Edition on: 2008 April 11, 21:08:13
Wolud it be possible to add in a check to prevent Marco Polo wants when there is no swimming pool on the lot and fishing wants when there's no pond? With FT and a bunch of Sims who are growing their own food, the fishing wants in particular are getting obnoxiously intrusive.
49  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Children's workout cloths on: 2008 April 11, 18:25:28
First, wrong forum.

What exactly do you think EA have disabled?

You're using a hacked wardrobe that may well not be updated for FT to buy custom clothes that may well be corrupt*. In addition, those errors are usually related to hardware or alien software, not the game itself.

*I doubt this, since WW managed to open them. Unless WW corrupted them on save, in which case you should be talking to jfade.

I wouldn't trust a frontpack not to grope me.
