51  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: S.O.S. - Can you safely delete a family that's never been out of the bin? on: 2007 April 26, 01:19:37
I have a feeling the memories are "set" once you leave the CAS screen, whether you actually play the game (any other family, even) or not.

True, haven't played any lot since creating.

I have a feeling it would be easier to cause a quick and untimely death to said sim.  First I will change the name and look of her.  Then... :: poof ::  a nasty satellite drops out of the sky.

And I prove, yet again, that I am not awesome:  what do you mean by Deleted II  ?  Or are you just giving me shit?  Tongue
*puts on dunce cap

I created one of my many MATY families incorrectly and didn't realize it until it was in the Sim Bin.  Can the family be safely deleted from there since its never set foot on a lot or anything or is it too late?  No other family has been played since they were created, either.  My discovery was immediately upon exiting CAS.   Cry
56  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Kitty Condo on: 2007 April 25, 03:46:24
I have one house that has three cats.  One of the cats autonomously sleeps inside the "cubby" part of the condo and I assumed it's because there were only two other cat beds.  But now I wonder why, if no one else is having such luck.  Hmm.
57  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Faster harvesting hack needed on: 2007 April 24, 03:01:43
CtfG has some awesome tendencies.  Lots of cheaty hacks, but definitely talent.

Yep, I'm proud to have a few of her unawesome awesome hacks.   Grin

Or is that awesome unawesome hacks?  hmm...

Don't fuss with me about double posting - the attachment restriction made me do it Tongue

Here's the second .rar file.

I've got closet rods.  Who wants them?  PM me Smiley

Edited because I just realized they're the MTS2 rods.  Damn.  Sorry.

ETA:  shit, they ARE the TSR files.... I'm attaching.
61  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Faster harvesting hack needed on: 2007 April 17, 23:59:33
I just tried that today and it's pretty cool.  Now I want a fishbowl hack just like it Grin  (I know...never satisfied).
62  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Faster harvesting hack needed on: 2007 April 16, 03:07:29
This doesn't directly address your request but it's the closest I've come to:  http://simlogical.com/dinnerbell/index.php?topic=521.0 .  It allows you to harvest immediately.  I guess the harvesting will still be time-consuming, but I couldn't find anything better.
63  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Lot Fixer/"Batman Box" help... on: 2007 April 15, 17:02:48
Pescado probably uses a pine needle for his record player, thus the constant borken-ess.  I'm sure diamonds are hard to come by in the bunker.
64  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Quick Questions on: 2007 April 15, 16:47:02
These sound Squinge-like.  Have you tried over at Insim?  Or perhaps Carrigon or Inge at the Dinner Bell?

65  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Sinking pets and choppy gameplay. How can I fix this? on: 2007 April 15, 16:38:56
I moved my family to another lot and all is well.  Then I also d/l the orange-coded thingy (see above) and all is still well.  The interesting thing about the lot I had been using when it occurred is that it had a floating floor, where I'd put walls on the lower level to build un upper, then removed the lower.  It did weird things to the greenhouse as well (the tomato plants floated in the sky).  Of course, that may also be attributed to the fact that it was a greenhouse on the roof.  LOL I think I just borked the lot, that's all.  'tis gone now.
66  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What do you build into your houses? on: 2007 April 15, 16:30:00
Thanks.  I like the layout but the largest I play with is 3x3 because of my crappy video card.  I might try something similar, though, just on a smaller scale.
67  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What do you build into your houses? on: 2007 April 14, 17:35:31
What size lot is that, Gwill?
68  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Sinking pets and choppy gameplay. How can I fix this? on: 2007 April 13, 23:40:33
Wellllllll, I just had my first sinking dog.  Grrr.  I don't use Inteen and it happened suddenly.  All was well when suddenly all my sims kept resetting themselves (again) and the pets were sunken into the hardwood floors.  That had to ow, you know?  Oh well.  I'm just going to move the family to another lot and see what happens.
69  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What do you build into your houses? on: 2007 April 13, 18:26:55
I'm finding a separate "pet room" is good - keeps traffic down around dishes and/or cat boxes.  Also, the tv must be in a separate room from the pet beds - I got sick of one simdog howling at it all the time.   Roll Eyes

Also, I'm finding a separate homework area is good - I kept having problems with adult sims getting stuck by a bunch of simkids sitting around on the floor LOL.

And a greenhouse!  I love the gardening part of Seasons and have even started connecting them to the houses, then using the greenhouse roof over the sim kitchen, too.  Ahh.  Now if only Eaxis of Eavil had included herbs in their pie menu of things to plant.

With the BUY I've been able to cut down on the ratio of bathrooms to bedrooms.  Helps a lot.  I can now easily do 2 bedrooms/1 bath or 3 bedrooms/2 baths (which is a lot more realistic to me...but then I'm not into realism, just space-saving).
70  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: So, what's the best way to sort through and cull one's downloads? on: 2007 April 11, 17:38:39
Well, frankly, I refuse to download it until he offers lunch and the Ion Cannon for download as well:

Delphy quote:
* Disclaimer: Does not make lunch.
** Ion Cannon sold seperately.
71  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Be uneducated on: 2007 April 11, 05:18:03
I'd like to see someone come up with a Not Go To College want and give it some big ol' aspiration points.  As has been said above, not everyone goes to college and quite a lot of those people still succeed.  So Tongue on eaxis.
72  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Wants are re-rolling every few seconds.... on: 2007 April 11, 05:13:43
THAT'S the one!!!  Wheeee.  Y'know, I really thought I was going crazy.  Or is that crazy-er?  Tongue

Thanks, all - I deleted the unawesome awesome hack.  Or is it the awesome hack for the unawesome user?  Makes no difference - I burninated the little fucker-file anyway.
73  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Wants are re-rolling every few seconds.... on: 2007 April 10, 18:14:18
...and I could swear I read about it somewhere here at MATY but damned if I can find it again.  I've searched in a variety of ways and still nothing.  Does anyone remember seeing such a thread?

As for my problem - in one house all my sims' wants and fears keep re-rolling every few seconds.  This just started recently.  Any ideas (that is, if it wasn't answered somewhere else).
74  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: To the other person with missing textures on clothes on: 2007 April 02, 16:31:49
When I used to work at a software firm about 5 years ago the techies always advised me to restart Windows before running something new (like switching from one proggy to another, if either was a memory hog) as Windows tends to hog things a bit too.  Is this still true?
75  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Holiday Cabin on: 2007 March 31, 22:51:02
This does sound like a lot of fun!  And with the phone hack I could turn the ringer off and they wouldn't be disturbed at all.   Grin
