THANKS THIS IS GREAT

I just tried my second attempt at a secret mountain lot (in a new neigbourhood) and I'm still having MIA bigfoots.  I tried the debugger but nothing seemed to happen.  How should it work?  Should the bigfoot arrive immediately, or should it be there next time the lot is loaded?  I tried going back to the lot several times; still no bigfoot.

This sucks - I too am having trouble getting that hairy beast to show up.  That damn slacker.  The only way that I have been able to get him to show up on custom secret lot is by using the doo-hickey to "show all NPCs".  Yeah, not the best move.  Once I got rid of all the others, I tried to interact with him before he did anything crazy but it didn't work.  When someone gets this figured out, let me know.  I spent forever building an actual cave for him - complete with swanky 70's style porno den and it's not even getting used.  WTF.

Bigfoot requires a residential mailbox. He will not appear if you do not have one, which does NOT need to be by the road for a Bigfoot residence. He also requires a stereo, possibly any stereo, but by default the cheap one. Finally, you should try prepping the Bigfoot lot by waving the magic wand before saving.

Is that in addition to the community lot phone?

Yes, Bigfoot requires the presence of the Residential Mailbox: This is his home! (However, since there's no "living", the mailbox can be positioned anywhere accessible, just like the original Bigfoot lot, as nobody moves in.) It is unknown if the community lot phone is actually truly required or merely something always provided for consistency, given that one can simply walk now.

Is there any way to place a residential mailbox now that the collection loop-hole has been plugged?

Ah, well.... a mailbox.  Yeah that would be on the list of awol items for the lot I made.  I suppose today I will go and rebuild another one.  Damn - I just moved around the entire hood to install the maxis version of the big foot lot and it took forever.  Arg.   Angry

I'm off to correct another of my seemingly endless mistakes, throwing a few disgruntled thanks to Pescado.
