Business lot broken

I think I borke something. The game freezes when I try to place the object.

Can your sim be accessed with the teleporter shrub? If so, you could simply teleport him home and have him move back in.
The same kind of thing happened to one of my sims when I was using the babysitter hack - he was baby-sitting and somehow got turned into a townie, but I was able to teleport him back and then edit his memories in SimPE as a lot of them had been deleted.
Or, if you don't want to do that, try what I did when it happened to Jennifer Burb. I moved the Burbs out of their house and then moved them back in again. Jennifer moved back in without any further problems - apart from having to furnish the house all over again!

You don't need to place it, just try clicking and waving it around. Define "Freezes"? Does it get an error?
Eggs:
When the game creates the object that's attached to my cursor, it hangs, apparently indefinitely. No error message. Had to Crtl+Alt+Del out.
