Well, I did try it like that first. I used the instructions that you gave earlier in this thread and this is what I got: 'hackdiff' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

That usually means you're trying to execute the command from the wrong directory (folder.)  Your command line has to show the path of the same folder that hackdiff.exe is in in order for it to work.

Like so:

(image removed)

If you're in the wrong directory, you can get to the right one by typing:

cd [full path of the desired directory]

For example:

cd C:/Documents and Settings/Owner/MyDocuments/EA Games/The Sims 2/Downloads/Hacks

And as an aside...

AmberDiceless weeps to be living in a time when such things need to be explained.

notveryawesome:
1) The community time project is by Dizzy, not Crammyboy. Check Peasantry for updates. Nevermind. The Community Time mod is indeed by Crammy, not Dizzy. I don't know what I was thinking (or not thinking), but I was obviously confuzzled. *sigh* How embarrassing.

2) Most hacked objects (as opposed to global mods) will still work with new EPs. The exceptions are things that will obviously use features of the new EP, such as Monique's computers, but for hacked objects that are specific to a certain EP (such as Pets-related objects), it is generally safe to use those even after installing a new EP.

I've come to rely on Hula & More as a major storytelling device and I do hope someone might be willing to continue onward in adding new animations to the old ones. Please? Firstborn male child..? Aright, how about a slightly tarnished soul?

I'll be keeping an eye on Decorgal and Aikea. Both of them have some pretty solid animation hacks, though they're not quite as easy to use as Hula & More. Decorgal has the talk paintings, which are very well laid out, but the animations don't loop, so they get tricky to coordinate shots for. The Aikea paintings are a little haphazardly laid out, but they offer more animations than Hula & More. I was able to use their punching bag animations for a fight scene in my latest update, WITHOUT dealing with the automatic change into gym clothes.

Still...I hope someone picks up the torch for Hula & More and runs with it. :)

-gets all squishy with Teh Fellow Boolian-

I do have installed some paintings and boxes for movie/story editing animations, but they're terribly confusing to me. If I could have my druthers ALL of the various animations and Overlays would be part of Hula & More and be easily broken down (i.e. the Sub-sub-sub menus Hula has/had so's you had a good idea which section you should click to find the animation you want.
That said, the talk overlay setup spouted some hysterical pictures while Silly (not Big nor Brynne) was posing her sim family for the BP Calendar Comp. She asked me for some posing help and I fumbled around with the talk & overlay items.. Thing is, the Talk icon dropped from the cue so I had no idea the sim was still showing "talk" animations when I had her Pose.
