Does anybody know if there's a mod to speed up the learning of fire and break dancing? Not to be instantaneous, but to take less than the 8 hoursish it takes now.

This isn't exactly what you're looking for, but it may help: TwoJeffs' Hobby Idle Animations Fix (scroll downward a bit).
That looks great! If I understood any of the structure of the hack, it looks like someone who knows what they're doing (i.e. not me) would be able to increase the value for Games enthusiasm alone. Thank you very much for pointing that out! I'll try my luck in the support forum at simbology.com.

I hope I'm not annoying anyone with too many questions, but I was also hoping someone could tell me if I have all the anti-respawn hacks or I'm missing any.
I currently have antiredundancy, nodormieregen, nossrespawn, nostrayrespawn, notownieregen and No Meeting Professors from twojeffs.

Your list looks complete to me. Unfortunately, twojeffs' hack will not keep the professors from spawning, your YAs just won't meet them. But they will be generated no matter what, because the game obviously *needs* two of them for each major. See jrd's post and the following for further details.

WCIF "wallpaper": I've looked and it shouldn't be this hard to find something that resembles this:

BUT IT IS :\

I just want that beigey stone color but any that I find tend to look like cardboard or end up being too far off color. The bottom walls with the horizontal lines are even harder to find analogues for. HALP MEH

I realize that building is probably marble, however that color stone reminds me more of limestone. I would suggest maybe searching for limestone texture(s).

Something like this looks close to that color although it might be too textured for your tastes.

Travertine also has that beige-y color. (http://www.suplugins.com/images/custom/dczk5s33_35czbbcgcx.jpg)

Adding the lines should be pretty easy in a photo editor. Mask it off and use a light touch with the burn tool.

WCIF the lotfullofsims hack updated for AL? I know there's a beta version here, but the link seems to have died.

Also, has anyone with Windows 7 got a working userstartup.cheat file? I copied mine from my old XP machine, but it appears to be borked. Neither cheats nor alias' function, I have to activate them all manually. I'm guessing Windows is the culprit here, but it could also be because I've also added an extra two EPs (FT+AL).

Try here: http://www.ancienthighway.net/smf/index.php?topic=30.0
I use it with the hacks from Director's Cut and everything works perfectly fine.
So. I'll go back to lurking now.

Thank you. I thought it did, because the number of professors seems to be holding steady at 99 (most of which are ghosts, because I didn't realize they were spawning out of control). I also can't imagine when professors would be created other than when my YAs return from class.

WCIF post-apocalyptic neighborhood objects (ruined buildings, mass graves, burning structures, decimated roads, blasted forests, that sort of thing) to decorate my apocalypse hood? I have plenty of lot decorations from MTS2 and GoS, but I'd love to be able to decorate the hood itself.

Neighborhood objects are few and far between.  I went all over the place trying to find as many as possible a few months back, and I don't think post-apocalyptic objects exist.  Something I never tired, but might be worth a shot - see if you can make some of the post-apocalyptic items you downloaded available from the neighborhood view, then place some empty lots around with the items in them.

Blast from the past time.

The one thing I still miss from Sims 1 is that little cheap $80 TV set on the metal TV stand. IIRC, I once saw this remade for Sims 2, but I can't find it.

Does it actually exist, or did I imagine it? Anyone know where I can get it?

Looking for a night-shift career where the hours are from either early morning (5am to 12pm) or 6pm to 11pm or something close, and doesn't change. I want to simulate an adult sim going to night school.
Also, is there a tuturial that shows how to change the salary levels of a custom career?

thanks

[Update] - Never mind, figured out how to do it myself.

peggy mesh broken, has anyone fixed it?

Hello - returning to Sims 2, I downloaded a wonderful hair on Peggy's mesh 4434. You can see the hair I mean herehttp://www.digitalperversion.net/gardenofshadows/index.php?topic=9829.0
Unfortunately this hair gives me nasty graphical glitches, maybe it has too many vertices? I do have a good graphics card and current drivers and I wondered if anyone had made a fixed version by any chance? I have Googled and found nothing at all.

Peasantry is not for WCIFs.  There is a thread for that in the Podium.  Better yet, why don't you ask the person who actually recolored the hair?  In any case, "nasty graphical glitches" is probably not specific enough to help anyone figure out what's happening.

Thanks. I didn't think anything like that existed, but you never know what creators will come up with. I did something similar for my medieval hood (making next door lots and decorating them). That worked okay, so I'll try it again for this one.

I knew I'd seen these somewhere. Bluebottle at GOS has a few extracted Fallout 3 objects as neighborhood deco on her LJ.

I'm looking for two items.

1. Please tell me there's a mod that prevents those stupid network people from giving you stuff. I hate that my sims can't call friends without being gifted umpteen big screen TVs, computers and DJ booths. I play challenges, and this is a real problem when you can't sell the gifts nor keep them in your inventory or use them.

2. I'm looking for something like a military checkpoint, maybe a guard shack with some sort of barrier like that on a railroad crossing.

There totally is one of those.  I don't know where she got it, but ask DocGirlP over on boolprop or LJ.

I wish I could, but I've never been able to find one. Before I stopped playing with townies altogether, I used to make one playable my trash depository, so I could invite him over and give him all the stuff the network townies dumped on me as a gift.

Looking for a mod that prevents cops from breaking up parties. Squinge had one called 'PartyNoCops' but I don't think it has been updated for AL.

Thanks, Doc. I'll definitely ask her. I could have sworn I downloaded one on one of my CC forays recently, but I can't find it (and I don't remember where I found it--probably some obscure site I found by following links). I couldn't find it on my browser history either. I'm beginning to think I dreamed it!

I wish I could do that, but the challenge I'm on now won't allow gift-giving, darn it. I'm really surprised no one's made a mod for that. Those network and hobby people are so annoying!

WCIF: pleasantviewtownies.rar?

There was a link here to the file but that link got broken and wasn't included in the replacement link, so don't think I didn't look! prz to help? I would like to have my ugly townies back without having to regenerate a whole new (broken) PV, open up SimPE and clone them just to get them available in CAS.
