Any of you want to be on TV?

Ye hairy pixelated gods. No. Just no. MTV? Doesn't that stand for, I don't know, MUSIC television? Not "random annoying crap television?" Someone should start that channel. RACTV. "Rack TV." Nice ring to it, and the innuendo in the name suggests some possible content.
I'm *under* 22 and I don't watch MTV, and if I'd seen or heard about the sims being featured on it before I got the game, I would never even have considered buying it.
Although it would be neat to do, just to give entertaining answers to those questions.
1. Through tactile contact with my keyboard and mouse.
2. JMPescado makes hacks for it. Also, I can buy fire.
3. I make men pregnant.
4. It involves physical objects that I can move around, and not enough fire.
Muhahahaha ;D
Also much agree with the OP..it's fine to discuss it with people who understand but that's as far as it goes...lol

I was an 80s kid and believe it or not when I tell you that at one point MTV actually played Music Videos
[/rant]
Remember Night Train? It predated MTV by quite a bit, long before producers decided to cater to the three second attention span. And it wasn't made to intentionally annoy parents. I remember a long night sitting transfixed watching ABBA perform on Night Train.

I really wonder if Maxis & the sims community realise just how many sims players are actually adult? I would guess EA would target the marketing more heavily toward adults if they knew what a big sims playing segment it was.
One of the plusses of the game, IMHO,was finding an intelligent and articulate adult community online, though sometimes there's a lot of crap to wade through on the way. ;)

I was an 80's teen as well, and I remember we could have MTV on for background music. Even if the only thing they played was by Haircut 100, or something like that.
I admit MTV can still be a junk-food indulgence for me. I watch the Real World. I'm 35 frickin' years old.

My mom watches the Real World, and she is almost 50. I don't watch it, because I do not care the least bit about reality TV.
*shrug* I am not a TV watcher, much less someone who voluntarily watches MTV (and I am under 22). I don't care if Sims 2 was featured on it or not. If it was just MUSIC TV, then I would probably watch it. However, it isn't. It's Random Teenage and Young Adult Crap TV.
